Here’s how it works…
* Head over here and register for a Shopmium account (remember to enter the code GHUEYUVP to snag a FREE Lindt Chocolate Bar!)
* Click on the Offers tab and browse through all the current offers. If you find a product you’d like to try, click on the product and then click on the pink “Discover This Product” button to find out specific information about which products are eligible and where you can find the product near you. My current offers include Smucker’s Fruit Spread, Ritz Bits, Burt’s Bees Lip Balm, Chobani Yogurt (one of my personal favorites! :D) and more!
* Head to your local store and purchase the eligible product (you can even click on the “Check Product Eligibility” button while in the store to scan the barcode of the item to confirm that it is indeed eligible!). And don’t forget to get a physical receipt from the store!
* Once you have purchased the item, go back to the offers tab, find the offer and then click the “Request My Rebate” button. You will then be prompted to scan the barcode of the purchased item AND to take a picture of the store receipt.
* Finally, you’ll get your rebate via Paypal! Easy Peasy! 😀

I’m frustrated with this app as I’m used to how quick you get credited for a purchase at Checkout 51 and Ibotta. It’s been 2 days and my offers are only “In progress?” Anyone else having this problem? Also I find the wording to be very confusing; some say $2 off and others say $2 cash back. What’s the difference? I also can’t get on Shopmium’s FAcebook page. Any advice?
It does take a super long time. I bought the Lindt bar on 2/28 and submitted for it right away. I only got the paypal email yesterday.
i submitted my receipt on the 4th and haven’t gotten anything.. i’m waiting to see how long it takes before i continue to use this app

I don’t understand how the referral credits work. I have gotten 3 referral credits ($6) from friends and keep getting emails saying I got credit but “this amount will be used to supplement your future rebates! ” What does that even mean? I already had $4 in referral credits today, got $.70 for 35% off the Glade and didn’t get the referral money, only the $.70. Do they just hold onto the referral money indefinitely until they feel like giving it to you??

You get referral $$ whenever you submit an item. I submitted a receipt for Smucker’s Fruit Spreads. I received $1 back as a rebate and $0.83 of my referral credit for the remainder of the purchase price. I had also submitted for the Belvita rebate and got the $1 rebate plus $1.98 of referral credit. It weird but at least I am getting extra money for things I buy anyway 🙂

I wanted to explain why we are managing referral payments this way. We have observed that many people try to game the system by creating several Shopmium and Paypal accounts, to send referrals to themselves. Free money and free chocolate !
This is why we apply referral credits to the next rebate(s) you receive through Shopmium.

So I have sent over 5 emails to Shopmium about a rebate that said it processed & that $0.00 was added to my Paypal acct. it should have been $1.00 credit. I’ve been emailing for a month with no response! Not happy at all with this service! It’s not all about the $1, I JUST WANT SOMEONE TO GET BACK TO ME!

I bought the Lindt bar at CVS, went to the car scanned the bar and receipt and submitted them. I then noticed the list of stores, the Lindt bar was not listed under CVS, so I returned it. The only places in my area they show the Lindt bar listed is Aldi’s, Kroger and Walgreens, so I’m assuming that I wouldn’t get credit for it since it wasn’t listed under CVS.
I also submitted the M&M’s yesterday which I see also doesn’t show up under CVS.I
It also, tells me “missing information” ” profile details missing”, which I’ve entered in but it will not submit, so I don’t know if I’ll get anything anyway.
You can use receipts from anywhere as long as it is a detailed receipt. I’ve turned in a couple of receipts from my neighborhood grocery store that is not part of a big name chain. HTH
Can I use these on top of ibotta and c51? And on top of coupons? I saw a lot of items said “this offer cannot be cumulated with other special offers”. (I was thinking the B1G1 Nutella MF coupon plus 2$ off with shopmium: and a MF 1$/2 belvita, .75/1 ibotta, 1$/2 c51 AND 1$/1 shopmium?) anyone know if it would work?

I used the MF coupon for sensodyne and submitted the Shopmium rebate with no problems 🙂 I submitted milk on ibotta and c51, 0.50 cents each. Works so well!

Earlier I posted about Shopmium not accepting receipt uploads on the Android version of the app. Today I was able to upload receipts by taking photos and uploading them thru Gallery from within the app. Perhaps they are working thru the kinks now. This app is not user friendly. I purchased 3 items, each item has to be submitted separately. Not user friendly, also a bit misleading
Over on mashupmom.com, she contacted Shopmium to inquire about how the referrals work because we’re all getting the emails but not receiving paypal money for them. This was their response:
Your referral credit will automatically be applied in the greatest amount possible to your next rebate. Meaning it is a credit on your Shopmium account, not cash to your Paypal account. For example, if you end up paying $3 for an item (after your rebate), you will receive up to $3 from your referral credits. You will keep getting credited like this for each rebate, until your referral credit amount goes down to $0.

I have been emailing Shopmium customer service since March 28, 2014 concerning the two CLR products that I purchased on March 27, 2014 and still have not been paid for. Please help me.
