I mystery shop for whole foods once a week. I only get reimbursed 45 so I do this all the time. I went from 69 to 22!!!

    • Ashley

What company do you go thru to mystery shop whole foods?

      • lisa

        Crg web

        • Lissette

I’m interested in doing this. How does it work?

          • Staci

I would be interested in doing this also. Recently my husband and I joined with a new and growing company known as Genesis Pure. We found it has been a great way to become healthier and also earn some extra money. If anyone is interested look it up at livingthepurelife.com. Jared Burnett has a video on the main page to explain it and so does one of my sponsors, Rachel Garcia, in the training tab. Anyone can e-mail me about it at staci.rademacher@yahoo.com.

        • Kristel

          Hey Lisa,
Could you pls send me a referral too? krikrii@gmail.com

        • Toya Livermore

I would like a referral too please any extra income would really help right now. Thanks toyalivermore@gmail.com

    • The Sugar-Free Couponer

I shop for several companies and have yet to find the one that does Whole Foods and Trader Joes, glad you found it!

      • Toya Livermore

Would you please share who do you shop for and how can I become a mystery shopper. Thanks

    • Layla

Please tell me who you mystery shop for at whole foods

    • Kristie

I mystery shop too but only Harris Teeter is on my list but it’s not worth the drive. What company?

      • Ashley57

It is against a mystery shopper’s contract with the company to share who they shop.

        • Kristie

True but most of my companies allow me to refer a friend.

        • lisa

I know but most of the people on here are mothers…or not rich. They are always asking me to refer people.

          • Kristie

Thank you Lisa! I submitted my application to them today.

            • Lee

              Can you refer me ?

    • Valerie

      Hi Lisa,
I’m a long time mystery shopper for many different companies but haven’t come across this one yet. Can you please refer me? Thanks. I have food allergies that make buying food expensive. I really appreciate it!

  2. Lisa

Is that all unhealthy stuff too? 😉 great shopping trip! Wish we had a whole foods store!

    • Rebe

Hahaha, Lisa, my same thought! 😉

    • CW

Ha ha I thought the same thing- I was going to say “why do you shop for healthy foods instead of GMO products!” Lol! 🙂

  3. Ana

Is whole deal coupons works like Walgreen booklet coupon means I don’t have to cut them and one coupon detect the price for multiple same items ? TIA.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Hi Ana,

At my local Whole foods, you do have to remove them (they are perforated) and hand over to the cashier. Also, if I am buying more than one, I just show the cashier how many I am purchasing so that she can deduct the correct amount. Hope that helps!

      • Ana

        Thanks.

  4. debbie

Great Collin, thanks for making it a little easier to shop at whole foods, I love to shop there but it takes longer because I don’t know where products are. I could spend the day there!!! Thanks for all you do!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are so welcome!! 🙂

    • Roxy

Debbie, I actually spent one Saturday in store taking photos of most aisles so I can have a list of prices and know where items are located. It’s from 2013 so prices might be slightly different, but if you read this message and you are interested, please let me know and I’ll upload the photos somewhere.

      • Erica

        Roxy,
I did that too. I’m glad I’m not the only one who does it 🙂

  5. Brenda

I wish there was one close by me 🙁

  6. julie

Amazing deals I can feel good about. Thank you.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

  7. Kristina

Ooooo, great deals! Thank you! Now I’m glad I bought that Groupon. 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You are so welcome. Now go make use of that Groupon… 😉

  8. danneewood

That’s an excellent haul…I have to check out WF…thanks for sharing!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      YW!

  9. Chels

Collin what happened to the weekly high and lows?? I enjoyed those!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oops! 😉 Those posts have kinda been put on the back burner. However, I am glad to hear that you enjoyed those posts (I was wondering if you all actually liked reading them?), so I appreciate the feedback.

    • crystal

I was wondering what happened to the high/low posts as well. I really enjoyed reading them every week.

  10. Terezia C.

Did you use your $10 Groupon that cost $5? ;). That would make this all even better!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had actually used it prior to this trip. Yep – I may go there a little too often! 😉

  11. Amy

There’s also a .75 off the half and half on organic valleys website! Making it 24 whole cents after you stack it 😀

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just found it!! Thank YOU so much for the heads up. I’ll add to the post. What a smokin’ deal! 😀

      • Amy

        You’re very welcome Collin! 🙂

  12. mel

I still have that $3 Barbara’s Cereal coupon and hoping to hit up WF on Friday. If I give the WF Store coupon, will they adj it down to get it free?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, according to their policy, they will adjust the value down so that you can score a box for FREE (just not get overage).

      • mel

        Thanks!

  13. Katrina

Greag follow up to the nasty comments some people had 😉 What a haul!

  14. Jess

Thank you for posting! I wasn’t sure what to use mine for and now I even have coupons to add to my shopping trip! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are so welcome!

  15. Natalie

Ugh I wish you would have more posts about getting unhealthy food for cheap! 😉 this is awesome!

  16. Heather

I’m buying organics for my young ones now so I really look for these types of posts on your blog. Thanks and keep rockin’ the savings!

  17. Caitlin

I am so ready to move back close to a Whole Foods. I miss them terribly!

  18. Jennifer

Is there a limit on how many times you can use the store coupons?

  19. melissa

The other day I used 2 spectrum coups(3$ off) from their FB page stacked with 2 of the 2$ off coups from the last month’s whole food’s flyer-( which remember to save they go till march 31st!- even though a bew flyer is out) making the bag of organic flax seed only pennies and a bag of chia seed for free! Although many of the cashiers are not informed on the store’s coupon policy- once I get over that initial nervousness- I always do well at this store! Thank you for helping us with ALL kinds of stores and coupons. I’ve said it before- Collin you and your ladies have saved all of us so much and we look cute doing it 😉 Thank you!

  20. Dixie

I love the idea of a $10 or less post!! And also I love the weekly videos at various stores!

  21. marissa

Hey collin, I see the tofu in the picture but I don’t see any mention of it elsewhere. Is there a coupon for it? On sale?

  22. MC

Love love love this haul! Thanks, we’re going to run out and grab some stuff now.

  23. Nikki

I got 2 Twix bars for free yesterday. A few days ago I printed out the save 50 cent off two Twix bars from I think coupons.com. I shop at Giant and they double the coupons so I knew it would be $1 off two. That is one free Twix bar off the bat. Then I don’t know if it is a local thing or a store thing but each Twix bar had a save 25 cent now sticker on them. Giant doubles it so another $1 off. Two free Twix bars! Bam! I live around the Philly area but I bet those stickers are available for many locations.

  24. cjs

Great haul! How do you cook/prepare your tofu???

  25. shelaghc

Am I the only one who can never print SmartSource coupons? I always get messages that Java isn’t enabled.

    • Steph

Yep. I can only print them through Internet Explorer. Even though I have the latest Java updates it won’t ever let me print through Firefox.

      • lyn96

        Same issue here.

      • shelaghc

Thanks for the tip. I tried with IE and it worked. First time in a very long time I’ve been able to print SmartSource. I’m thinking of actually trying Red Plum too now.

      • Leanne

I ran the help function and was able to fix it in Firefox. There was something in the tool bar that looks like a lego and that’s where it was blocking it. Now it works great!

    • crystal

I can never print smart source or red plum…i stop trying because its so frustrating.

  26. Amanda

Did you do this healthy post because of all of that hate you got for your junk food?

  27. RT

Thank you so much for this!!! Please do more Whole Foods and other organic shopping trips! We occasional like to buy “junk” but more regularly try to buy healthy food! It would be so cool to have more scenarios for organic foods and snacks!

  28. Guggie L Daly

I’ve been dying to use my groupons. I still have my spectrum qs to stack! WOOT

  29. KathT

I’ve never shopped Whole Foods. How many of their store coupons can you use in a transaction per item (for ex. how many Clif bars can you buy using the store coupon on in one transaction? Is there a limit?)? The coupon states one per person per purchase per item. Thanks!!

    • Manisha

      I have this same question!

      • Janet

I bought 3 clif bars and used 3 manufacturers and 3 store q’s and cashier didn’t say a thing. She just added the total amount in coupons i had and discounted it from my total in one big lump sum. I guess it depends on your cashier…I’ve only shopped there twice but checkout was smooth and no problems both times. 🙂 Hope you have the same luck i did. 🙂

  30. Amy

for some reason I can’t print from qples. I tried everything! Did everything they told me to with JAVA (uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, allowed, etc), tried using their desktop printer, signed in via facebook for an account to see if that helped, but it didn’t. The problem started about 2 months ago. Anyone else having problems?

  31. Goreti Tada

For some reason my comments are saving on your posts? Weird. I just wanted to thank you for this Whole Foods post. I love Whole Foods but I have to drive 30 minutes away to our closest location. Thank you so much for all that you do to save US money. You’re awesome!

  32. Goreti Tada

Oh, it worked this time! Awesome. Love your energy!

  33. Heather

I wish I could do this at my Whole Foods. They will ONLY accept ONE coupon per item – doesn’t matter if you try to combine a Whole Foods with a Manufacturers coupon. They always say ONE or ANOTHER. And that from the Manager. PLUS they only accept ONE unique Whole Foods coupon per transaction – in other words I can do the Cliff Kid’s bar deal but only once. They will not take multiple coupons of that. Only one.

    • Margot

I’d be interested in which store you shop at! My local WF stacks the coupons and will allow multiple items, each with their own coupons. I’m in Northern California (Folsom).

      • Heather

Southern NJ – There are two different Whole Foods I use. Each have given me the same policies and or reaction. One or another coupon – no stacking. Limit of one unique Whole Foods coupon per shopping trip. They said I am more than welcome to print out as many as I want of “a” coupon (like the Cliff Bars coupon) but still can only use one of that type of coupon per shopping trip. Even when they have different vendors in the stores giving out samples and coupons, they still limit you to ONE coupon.

        • Heather

But I can use several Whole Foods coupons – as long as I am only using a unique coupon each time. (am I making sense?) So I can use one Organic Valley Half and Half coupon and one Cliff Bar coupon in my shopping trip but not two Half and Half coupons and not two Cliff Bar coupons. And I have to pick either the Whole Foods or the Manufacturer’s coupon – not allowed to stack

  34. Maria

So strange how policies change from store to store.. my store asks you to cut the coupon out of their store booklet, but most cashiers hand it back to you to “use again later”. Doesn’t make sense to me, but at least they follow their coupon policy when it comes to redemption!

  35. visitor3

Thanks, Collin, you give me hope that I can buy healthier foods without breaking the bank.

  36. Janet

Thanks for the deals! Wf is about 30 min away and my total was about $17 i only paid $3 and change…the clif bars at my wf were only .99! I was able to use the manufacturer’s and store coupons! Thanks for helping me find good cheap food for my allergic son! 🙂

  37. Kristin

Hey Collin! Thanks for all you do!! Unfortunately, my WF is really picky about coupons. They would not let me use the “.50 of any cliff bar” on any of them (kids, organic) but the one in the picture. The manager agreed with the cashier when I very politely stated that the wording implied that it should not have to be that one kind….I gave up quickly. This is the second time I have had issues with whole foods and coupons. UGH!!!

  38. Sarah

Thank you for this post! I have been wanting to find some discounts on better food, not all the junk/over-processed crap that’s usually in the coupon match ups. We buy a lot of protein bars and cereal for our daughter so this post was extra helpful! Went last night. Had to get a price adjustment on the Snackimals cereal though. All of the Barabara’s cereals were on sale except those two. And our WF required a WF coupon for each item (Bought 4 clif bars, needed 4 coupons).

  39. Dorothy

I was looking at the Dollar Tree in S.W. Missouri and I happened to see the Cliff bars! Are they good? I was just looking around and just read it from a distance. I noticed it had macadamia nuts in it and it sounded yummy.

    • Dorothy

Me again! They were the regular Cliff bars and not the kids ones.

  40. Jenna

Im going into my whole foods tomorrow to get more cliff and Luna bars. When will these prices be over?

  41. Jennifer A

I know this is coming a little late on this post, but I am heading to Whole Foods this weekend (hopefully…) with my coupons. I shop at WF fairly regularly but have never tried couponing there. Wish me luck!
