is it ok to use the $3/1 Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing or Restorative Hair Treatment coupon on shampoo/conditioner when it doesn’t mention it on the coupon. i thought the coupon was for the $12.99 treatment, not the shampoo/conditioner.

    • Mel

I agree, the $3 coupon is for the dry oil treatments, not the shampoo or conditioner.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Whoops! You are right…just removed that coupon! Time to get more coffee! 😉

      • Angel

It can be used on the leave in treatment for dry/damaged hair which is also 2/$6. I asked the clerk at my Walgreens before using it and she said it would work and it rang up no problem 🙂

        • Mel

The coupon is for the PURE CARE oil line. Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Treatment with African Macadamia Oil and Pure Care Dry Oil Restorative Treatment with Anatolian Pomegranate Seed Oil, neither of which are on sale. That $3 oil does not say PURE CARE, so the coupon does not apply. Regardless if “rang up no problem” it wasn’t a match.

Forgive my ignorance on the Balance Rewards, but could I do all 3 of these deals in the same transaction and get points for each?

    • Kristen

I did scenario #1 and 2 in one transaction on Sunday and 4,000 points were put on my account 🙂

    • Van

Yes you can. You shall get back 2000 x 3 points so 6000 total in a single transaction

      • Melanie

        Thanks Kristen and Van!

  3. Sylvia

I used the $3 hair treatment cpn on Dove hair therapy oil care that was also on sale for $3(I believe the reg price was $6.49). I was able to shop yesterday on “senior day”!

    • Mel

The $3 coupon is for the Dove PURE CARE treatments, which is totally different line of products from the ones on sale for $3.

  4. Mae

I’ve tried this deals on three diff stores in my area unfortunately all their systems don’t accept two like coupons in one transaction. I have to return everything for it’s not worth doing for me in that case

    • lori

I’ve hearing this”new policy” as well. Makes it tough on those 2 for $? Sales!

      • Rayann

Same here…I tried to use the 2 of the $2/1 coupon, but the Walgreen’s register had an error. I then tried using one $2 and one $1.5, but still did not work.

    • Brooke

Yet ANOTHER reason why I can’t stand to shop at Walgreens! I can understand them having a limit on like coupons, but it shouldn’t be one coupon!

      • Brooke

Oops! I didn’t read far enough before I commented. If the coupon states only one per transaction, then I understand. It just sounded like something Walgreens would come up with!

    • Olivia

Just seems ridiculous that most people buy shampoo and conditioner together..coupon should at LEAST allow 2 in same transaction lol

    • crystal

Walgreens has gotten way too complicated to shop at with all of their rules & restrictions.

  5. AJ

I used the $3.75 on 2 coupon. Great deal!

  6. Olivia Clement

FYI the dove shampoo coupons are limit 1 per transaction and Walgreens system is updated to recognize it.. It will reject the second coupon. Just had this happen. I bought 2 Dove men’s shampoo.. Used 2 coupons, when they scanned the coupon for the Women’s shampoo it totally deleted the Men’s coupons. If that makes sense.

    • Amber

The dove coupons I have stated one per purchase and a limit of 2 identical per transaction. I don’t know if different inserts had differently worded coupons.

  7. MeL

Have you personally done the Dove deal for the Dry Oil Nourishing or Restorative Hair Treatment? Does it also apply for the Shampoo/Conditioner?

  8. MeL

If the problem is using 2 of the same coupon, and you’re planning to do both the Dove Advanced and the Dove Men+Care, couldn’t you do 1 of each in 2 separate transactions? You would still be purchasing 2 Dove products, but be using 2 diff coupons.

  9. Jessica

I don’t usually shop Walgreens unless its a No Coupon Needed scenario, or only 1 coupon needed scenario because I always come out feeling like I got screwed out of savings with made up policies or just too many hoops to jump through. For this particular sale, what is the best way to go about it if I have multiple coupons for these sale items??? I have like 6 inserts, but don’t want to pay more if I don’t have to. Help. TIA to anyone who is a WAGS expert.

  10. Montanna

Thanks for the heads up! I went today, and got good deals!

    Trans #1:
    2 sauve shampoo
    2 sauve conditioner
    2 turkey bacons
    Used:
    (4) $1.50/1 sauve coupons
    (2) $0.55/1 bacon coupons (I know there’s a $1 one but eh lol)
Paid: $8.72, got 4,000 Reward Points

    Trans #2:
2 size 4 well beginnings diapers
    Used 3,000 points
    Paid: $4.60

Total $13.32 for it all! Not bad, considering the diapers are ‘worth’ more than that.

    • crystal

Are the diapers still ringing up at $7 each?

      • Montanna

As of this afternoon in Tulsa, Ok, yes.

  11. Nicole

    I got mines!!! Thanks!!!

  12. Mani

I have got so many of these dove and suave using 2 issues of RP and 2 computers….

  13. Lindsey

I bought 2 doves shampoos and 3 sauve body washes and noticed none of the points showed up. Does it take a few days? I was thinking I should get 4000 points according to the signs.

  14. Susan W

Sorry that this is too late for this month but I thought I would post since I’ve never seen this mentioned here. This is how I got my Suave shampoo for 10 cents each. Walgreen’s has a “senior day” the first Tuesday of each month. “Seniors” get 15% off on all merchandise and that includes sale items. Nice products are 20% off. Even better “Seniors” are anyone 55 and over or AARP members of any age. It might be helpful if hip2save did a post for this before the 1st Tuesday of each month. It really is a great deal.

  15. Georgette

I used the $3 off Dove Advanced on the small Bottles of Dove Argan Oil that are on Sale 2 for $6, which made them free & I had no problem with coupons in several stores & I used the $2.50 off Dove Men on the Dove Men’s shampoo that is on sale 2 for $6, making those 0.50 cents a piece, and I racked up on points..Happy with Walgreens this week & they also have tons of deals on clearance as well..

      • lisa

Just so you know, the oil, shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, etc, DO state PURE CARE. You made me curious enough to check. The problem is that the coupon is for the treatment oil, not for their other items in the pure care line. You were right… about the wrong thing. It does need to be corrected. But, I’m sure it was an oversight, which EVERY couponer has done.

  16. manson

could anyone tell me what’s RP?I try to google it,but just couldn’t find it

    • Holly

RP = Red Plum, SS = Smart Source, PG = Proctor Gamble

In the “coupon newbie” page, there should be a breakdown of abbreviations.

      • manson

        Thanks a lotO(∩_∩)O

  17. Carolina

Also works if you find any on clearance and right now they have extra 50% the clearance!

  18. Georgette

    Sorry, for my comment, geesh…
