[h2s_box]Hi Collin,
I just wanted to fill you in on awesome freebies that I was able to get at a great discount hardware store called Harbor Freight. I don’t know if they have a store in your area but it’s a great store because not only can you get hardware stuff at a decent price but often times in the mail or online they’ll have coupons for free items with no purchase necessary! I went in today and got $18.97 worth (3 items) for nothing.[/h2s_box]

With that being said, if you have a Harbor Freight Tools nearby, be sure to head on over here and scroll down to print the following FREE product coupons (valid through 4/30)…

*FREE 3.5″ 9 LED Mini Flashlight (a $6.99 value!)
*FREE Multipurpose Scissors (a $4.99 value!)
*FREE 25 ft X 1″ Quikfind Tape Measure (a $5.99 value!)

What awesome buys, as you don’t even have to purchase anything to score these FREE products! 🙂

(Thanks, Khristian!)

For anyone wondering, these are quality products. I have all 3 and they are great, this week we got a coupon for a free electric fly swatter. If you have one in your area it is worth the trip and you can use all the coupons at one time. We once saved up all the coupons we had and saved over $50.

    • Rebe

At my local store they dont allow to use more than one free coupon at once 🙁

      • DB

We have not found these to be quality or durable products. And they are rude about the free coupons.

        • katie

I agree. The quality of *most* of their products is junk. We have found it cheaper to buy things at hardware stores than buying 3 of their products. But free is free! :p

          • Sussie

Cheap tools are the worst. I’ve never been to this store even though there is one near me. I know they advertise everywhere.

      • hamd

my store also told me one coupon at a time

    • Renee

The tape measure is very nice. We like the flashlights too cause they’re so bright.

    • Beverly

My store only allows you to use one coupon for free items too.

  2. Julie Hamilton

my husband goes and gets these when he goes to HB all the time 🙂 makes me excited and great to be put into stockings and as little gifts.

  3. Holly

HF is a great store! Majority of the items are made in China so you may encounter tools that may not last. But the freebie tape measure is thick and heavy; I’m using it right now at work.

My s/o bought his motorcycle stand a year ago; decent quality for the price. Also, there’s always HF Q’s in Sunday’s inserts (I cant remember whether it’s in the SS or RP) and the Sunday paper itself. But their Q’s fluctuate from 20% to 25% off per item; so find the 25% off Q’s!

I think I have one in md.I love free scissors.thanks

    • v

Oh my!!!! I used your link and was able to print 1 coupon. Hit the back button to take me back to H2S then decided to print another copy….clicked your link again and this time it showed 2 coupons and the screen. Repeated just to see if it was becoming a trend, ….just as I thought….that third click brought up 3 coupons on the page, lol.
      Didn’t print though…just was curious.

      Thanks for the coupon link.

My husband and I went to our local HF this week (they had coupons for 6 free items) but as I was gathering up the free items while my husband was getting his non-free items, a clerk told me we were only allowed to use one coupon per day. Too far to travel to go every day so I was very disappointed.

I think it’s cashier dependent about coupon usage. I had 2 coupons for free scissors with purchase last time. I didn’t want them to ring me up twice so I gave the other coupon to my BF to make the separate purchase. The cashier rudely asked if we’re together so I honestly said yes. Cashier sighed saying ” one per household.” Keep in mind there were two of us & we were both making a purchase. I explained to her my Bf and I don’t live together. So cashier gave me this nasty look saying “we don’t have anymore scissors. You got the last one. Don’t have anymore for this gentleman.” I was starring at the box full of scissors under her desk. I didn’t want to escalate the problem so my BF finished his purchase & walked out. My Bf didn’t look too happy bc he didn’t want to be in that situation, but he’s not blaming me for it either so he just kept quiet. As we walked to our car,, a stranger approached me saying “if I were u, I would report that problem. The way the associated treated y’all were not acceptable. You weren’t doing anything wrong. I was in the other line and saw everything. You’re too nice. People will pick on u.” He laughed then walked away.

I don’t understand how some people are so lucky to grab over $50 of freebies without purchase while I’m having problems with redeeming just 2 coupons. Lol
Maybe I should start being mean & put on a straight face. Lol jk. That’s just not me. Haha

    • Buster

The employees at my HFT did the same thing to me several times. They always told me they were out of the free items. I finally stopped going there.

    • crzycpnldy

I think you should report it. Obviously that cashier does not have the people skills to do that job. And the fact that she was rude to you loud enough and in such a manner that it upset other customers is totally ridiculous. People dont deserve to be embarrassed and treated that way just for trying to redeem a coupon. Even if customer service doesn’t make it up to you, i think you should report it for the simple fact that the cashier either needs to learn how to treat people or not work there.

  7. lisa

    The scissors are awesome!

    • fiona

they are I got mine today!

  8. Missie B.

Anyone know the Huntsville, AL policy on these?

  9. Caitlin

I have bought a lot of things from HF in the past. In fact, the shelving unit I use to organize my stockpile came from there in 2011. I think I was able to purchase it for around $15 with coupons. I have bought everything from water hoses to batteries there and the only issue I’ve encountered was with a cordless drill we bought there. It does not stay charged very long and they do not carry extra batteries for them.

  10. Ellen

All their hand tools have a lifetime warranty on them. I don’t know if a tape measure is considered a hand tool but we took back a wrench which broke and they replaced it no problem. You don’t need your receipt because they have their own brand Pittsburgh.

    • Happymama

Really? My husband won’t buy a tool there because of the poor quality. The tools always break. However, I may go for the scissors.

  11. OpenUpYourEyes

The coupons do state one free item per customer per visit, so if you are able to use more than one at a time you are getting lucky and shouldn’t be upset if they stick by the rules and only allow you to get one free item per visit. It is supposed to be an incentive to come to the store, but they aren’t in the business of just giving stuff away for free without any purchase required. Other times there will be free items with purchase, those are also limited though to one per customer per visit.

    • fiona

I agree…I wasn’t upset I could only do one free item a day…I’m grateful to receive some FREE scissors…they sure as hell don’t have to give me anything and I’m glad that employees are enforcing the rules because then we can ALL have a chance to get a freebie

  12. kim

I wouldn’t rush there….. yes my DH LOVES harbor freight…this coupon is in our paper EVERY week (save ink!)…so if you are going there for something, we always snag up the ‘free’ scissors, flashlight or tape measure or screwdrivers…. the flashlights always break but my kids love them and since they are free we usually choose that as our freebie. w

    • Guest

Yep this comes in our paper every week too! I throw them out tho because I never took the time to look, I thought they were just junk

    • Maja

coupons at newspaper are always ” with any purchase”…at least in mine…

      • Jcatz824

The coupons I receive here in SJersey always say FREE with any purchase. I’m looking at one right now and that is what is printed on it. It’s for the little flashlight. I had gotten one sometime ago and while it was really great for awhile (I don’t know how long) some of the little bulbs don’t light up now. There appears to be no way to replace the bulbs. The flashlight does provide some light now but I guess when the other bulbs burn out I’ll have to toss it.

  13. Dawn

My husband always goes there. They are cheap prices, and cheap China tools, but he thinks they work great vs. spending big bucks at Home Depot. Our store doesn’t care if you use more than one coupon, but we don’t ever want to appear greedy, since he goes in every couple of weeks anyway.

    • Jcatz824

As for things being made in China (or elsewhere), just about everything you buy is. I’d be willing to bet that some of the items you think are made in the USA are not. Take a good look at an item that you consider to be really good and I’ll bet that you will find out that it was made in China, Taiwan, Indonesia or some other place.

  14. rosana

never bee there. i have one near and always get in the mail a free item but with purchase. i can try and go tomorrow to get the scissor

  15. jennifer

When we go they let my two kids use a coupon so we always get 4 things for free..

    • Claudia

Mine does too, I didn’t even ask, it was the cashier that suggested that we have the kids redeem them too.

  16. Diana

Thank you Collin for posting this! I was bummed I wasn’t able to get the $.90 scissors at ACE because they ran out so when I saw this post I was excited to get them FREE instead. YAY! Btw they are really good scissors…

  17. Renae

Side Note…Our Home Depot Accepts Competitor coupons Including Harbor Freight!

  18. Nikki

Just to clarify my earlier post I have never purchase big tools from hf so I can not comment on those products. But the free scissors tape measure and flashlight all are great. Also when I saved about $50 I had purchased other sale items and I saved up coupons for about 5 or 6 different free
Items I would not go in and take advantage by trying to get multiple same free items in one day my store is nice enough to accept coupons for multiple free items in the same transaction and the items are located through out the store not behind the counter this is a great place to get things like tarps masks zip ties work gloves etc cheap prices and these type if items are pretty much all the same

  19. AngB

I’m glad for the post, but it should be posted it’s One Free Item Per Customer Per Day. It would be improper couponing to get all three items on the same trip.

    • Jcatz824

One Free Item Per Customer Per Day WITH PURCHASE. That is what is on the coupons that I have.

  20. Amy L

This store has brought my husband to the couponing side lol! I may have a stockpile of deodorant and toothpaste but he has a pile of mini flashlights and screwdriver sets! Love it!

    • Deal ninja

Amy that is awesome!!! I might see if I could persuade my husband with a few of these coupons. I went today and got some inexpensive Father’s day gifts freebies. Plus a flashlight for our 72 hour emergency kit.

  21. Laura

I have one pretty close but have never been there…didn’t feel like it’s “my kind of store”. I do have a mailer (get them all the time) with a free 7 function multimeter – whatever that is lol! I may have to try it out.

    • RB

electrical tester– electrician showed me how to use it, but not sure I’d remember enough to do it without looking up instructions– handy to have to see if you have power to an outlet, short circuit, etc.

  22. crystal

I have gone to a HF store where the cashiers are nice about redeeming a free coupon but I have also encountered rude cashiers who flat out refuse to give me anything. It all depends on the cashier. I’ve never redeemed more than one free item coupon though.

  23. Bonnie

The free with “no purchase required” coupons usually only appear in the Parade or a special insert. The stores here, only allow 1 free item per transaction. The quality of the freebies is very good. I’ve never bought any large items, so I can’t speak to them.

  24. sheryl

    LOVE THIS STORE!!!

  25. Tarri

I have gotten to Volt Meters from two different coupons, two different days. Still have to get the scissors, tape measure, flash light and some other freebies that were in my newspaper.

  26. ANJ

I have gone to Harbor Freight many times to redeem free coupons (I usually buy a paint brush: either the small one for $0.49 or many times a larger one is on sale for $0.49, if a purchase is required).

Rarely are the two stores I go to out of the free items and I have never had an issue with a rude cashier. It must vary by store.

  27. Im

I don’t like this store besides the freebies the cashiers are rude and the managers don’t seem to care about your situation
