I have had to resort to fillers other than candy for years; since my daughter has a nut allergy. When she was a toddler, I used to by larger/wide easter eggs, and put Fisher-Price Little People in them.

Last year I grabbed a bargain bag of Disney trading pins from eBay and put them in my kids’ eggs. They loved it!!

I bought a box of Legos and put a few in each egg.

I’m going to do coins this year. My kids don’t need candy nor toys. Well ok, they luv miniatures, so maybe miniature toys, like Mini Brands. Actually I’d rather leave toys in the Easter basket.
