As most of you know, 9/16/12, was the start of the new Walgreens Balance Rewards Program! Even sweeter, on 5/5/13, they started a new point system in which you can redeem your points once you reach just 1,000 points. Please head here to read all about it.

Hello Collin and everyone! I just ran to Walgreens hoping to take advantage and possible “double dip” on this weeks (BOGO 50%) and next weeks ($4 off) promotions on One a Day multivitamins. They had removed the BOGO signs and put up the $4 off signage. At my store, the only vitamins marked @ $4 off are the Vitacraves and one prenatal vitamin. Even if I couldn’t get both promotions, I was hoping that the regular multivitamins would be included with the $4 off. With the new Q in this week’s smartsource, it would have been a good deal. Oh well, hopefully a good sale will come along somewhere in the next two weeks before that coupon expires. Thanks again Collin!

Question: on the Dial Soap B1G1 free can I use the $1/2 coupon plus a $1 RR? Is that 2 coupons and 2 items so I’m Ok or since 1 soap is “free” does that mean my item count is only 1? TIA
It goes by the physical amount of items that you have, so you would be fine to do what you are planning.
No sue, I am pretty sure you would need a filler. Wag counts RR as coupons if you buy to soaps and use $1/2 then you need something else to use $1RR on.
Walgreens is tricky. Even though you have 2 items and 2 coupons, since the coupon is “off 2”, their register will attach to both items. So if you want to use a RR too, you will need a filler.

Hi all…u just ran into a situation at my local store. I went to purchase an item that was in the B1G50% and use two coupons but the registrar did not accept the second Q because on the coupon it stated “One coupon per purchase”. Has anyone else run into this issue too?
I have had that happen to me too. I think it is when there is a balance reward connected to it that makes it free. One time they wouldn’t take it at all and the other time I went I insisted that one coupon per purchase means that you can only use one coupon per product not one per transaction and she pushed the coupon through.
I used to understand the Walgreen and rite aid coupon policies very well and loved the up rewards even though it meant multiple transactions in one trip but I have no understanding of the new rewards programs can some one explain please

Call walgreens corporate number explain the situation that you bought $20 and didnt get your points they will look up your recipet and correct the point issue.
Update: I won’t be receiving the 5,000 points because Corporate said I didn’t “meet the $20 or more requirement AFTER coupons.” Apparently I could’ve either bought all 6 WITHOUT MQs, or purchase a total of 9 Pantene products, used the two $5/3 MQs I had and that would’ve earned me the points because my new total would’ve been $20. But since the coupons brought me down to $10, I “didn’t meet the requirement.” :-{ Soooo not happy with Wags right now!

Called again but they still won’t honor it. I didn’t pay with points at all either (they tried accusing me that I did too). I told them I’ve done a deal like this before I was rewarded the points BEFORE coupons no problem but they didn’t believe me. So I gave up on them :-{
That’s pretty frustrating. Maybe that Walgreens has their registers set differently, or maybe one of the Pantene products for some reason didn’t count towards the total?? You could try a different Walgreens. I did the deal today and my points were on my receipt. Also some of the products in the back of the shelves at my Walgreens still had $2 off any Pantene product peelies.

Hey everyone, was just wondering if anyone has had any issues with buying two Advil allergy and congestion and using the $3 off coupon on each box at Walgreens? I tried doing this and I was told that I could only use one at a time, I knew it wasn’t true but I didn’t have any prove and was told they have been dealing with this all day, any ideas of how to go around this?
