have you bought and used them with no problems? thks

    • Brindha

      Same question for me too!

      • Renee

I wouldn’t do business with them. What was a big red flag to me is them posting that the e-gift card could only be used for online shopping. I called Raise and couldn’t get a clear answer. I know e-gift cards can be used online and in the store. Then I noticed that they have so many e-gift cards for sale. Finally I got someone to admit that Raise withdraws the funds from the physical gift cards and then issues an e-gift card, which are from Raise, not from the vendor. So I called Nordstrom and Macy’s directly to see what they knew. Bottom line, they suggested that I not buy from Raise. Someone even called me back from Raise to see if I would consider using them. I told them no because it’s too sketchy for me.

          Hi Renee,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. As a gift card marketplace, Raise accepts both physical and electronic gift cards. Each card type has it’s own redemption instruction depending on the vendor’s terms and conditions.

To clarify our redemption instructions are as follows: a physical gift card is shipped in the mail, a voucher is an electronic gift card that can be used in store or online (depending on the brand). An eGiftCard can be used online only.

As Raise.com is a marketplace, we act as the intermediary between our buyers and sellers to facilitate every transaction and to ensure a secure exchange. Member protection is very important to us and we cover the buyer’s transaction for up to 60 days from the date of purchase.

If you have further questions about the terms and conditions for a specific card, please feel free to call, email or chat us and we would be happy to help.

          Thank you,

There is absolutely NO WAY I’d waste my time (again) contacting your company only to speak to an uninformed rep that’s clearly reading from a script. There is NO store that has a physical location that restricts where an e-gift card can be used!! I’m not interested in doing business with Raise, potentially losing my money by purchasing a “gift card” from your company. Not every deal is a deal.

          • sv

I have bought many gift cards from Raise and didn’t have any problem.

But this time, I saw this deal and I was so happy (because I shop at Rite aid a lot.), without thinking purchased the Rite aid gift card. As soon as I bought, I recognized it can be used only online. So sent them an email right away , whether I can cancel it. They sent me back an email that they couldn’t cancel….and now I am stuck…

            Sad face….

            • Renee

Yes, that the was the other red flag. One rep said I SHOULD be able to use an e giftcard in the store but if I couldn’t, I couldn’t get my money back. There were just way too many red flags that it isn’t worth the trouble, for me. After I was cheated twice with transactions on Ebay, I vowed that I would never be cheated again with an online purchase. I don’t like to see it happen to others either.
You should see if you can use it at the store. If not Rite Aid actually has some pretty good deals online, you just won’t get UP Rewards. But they compensate for that with lower prices.

Yes, I use them constantly and get their ecodes which are delivered within 2 hours sometimes even 15 minutes! I buy Bath & bodyworks, macys, dillards, IHOP, the body shop, Petco, Petsmart, Red Lobster & Target gift cards from them and have had no problems with them!
Yesterday I bought a Macy’s Card( saved 8% off the card), had an email they sent for for an extra 5% off(saved $12.50 off card). Then bought Lancome night cream for my mom from Macy’s, scored Free Shipping with a $50 beauty purchase & GWP! Awesome Deal for me!

    • Lisa

I used a CVS one earlier this week with no issues. I love saving the extra ~10%! Also, go through ebates to purchase and get 1% cash back.

    • Tres

I forgot to add, when you first register at their website they will give you 5% off your first purchase, this includes as many gift cards you want to purchase from different vendors! I signed up in November bought a bunch of gift cards for gifts and got 5% off all of them purchased in one order! Ex: I bought a $100 Starbucks Card for me to get my caffeine fix at Target (LOL) before i SCORE my Hip2save deals. I paid only $77 for that one gift card and I have not made a dent into it especially with deals starbucks runs(free bakery item after 2 pm).

I’ve bought over 30 cards from them, most were used without any issues. Unfortunately the last one I bought was shut down by the merchant because it was apparantly purchased with a stolen credit
Card. It’s a popular scam for people to buy gift cards with stolen credit credit
Cards and then sell them to 3rd party dealers like raise.com to launder the theft.

No way would I use them. To me it’s close to being a scam. Glad you decided to look for reviews first.

    • Renee

Also I don’t know for sure, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they operate outside of the U.S.

Really?? Your representative said that you were based in Colorado!

    • jen

We’ve bought from several sites and raise is by far the best. We saved $350 dollars on our recent carpet install by buying home depot cards from raise

      • jen

Just wanted to add that all our cards were egifts and they came almost instantly. Home depot and the other retailers we have used have had no problems redeeming them.

  2. Kim

I’ve never heard of this site before although it sounds good. I’d like opinions of people who have purchased gift cards through them before… Thanks 🙂

  3. Elizabeth

Keep in mind that if you use the “merchandise credit” card to pay at Walgreens then you will not receive points on items. It would be great on other deals just not ones where points are involved.

  4. Caitlin

I have bought three gift cards from them. A few months ago, I grabbed a Payless egift card for around 15% off, stacked it with their BOGO and $10 off $25 coupon, and scored shoes for my entire family for less than $5 a pair on average. I also bought a JCPenney egift card that I was able to print out and take to the store, used it with the $10 off $25 coupons they often have, and saved over 60% on top of clearance prices by combining the gift card and coupon. Great way to stretch a dollar, and the egift cards are always delivered really quickly.

  5. Roo

I use them ALL the time. The only thing about the Walgreens cards? DON’T use a gift card if you want Balance Rewards Points. The Rewards Points won’t trigger if you use a gift card. I tend to get the cards for Rite Aid more often. Also, Tractor Supply, PetSmart and PetCo. Sometimes you can get those for almost 20% off.

    • Susan

How do EGift cards work at Rite Aid?

  6. Ashley Wagner

It makes me anxious when I see the retail cards with random amounts. It makes me think stolen merch was “returned”.

    • Lynne

Could also be someone who received a gift, returned it and never used the store credit for anything else or you got a gift card bought one thing then didn’t use the rest.

  7. Kidsallgone

Have used them before with no problems….until now lol. Wasn’t a real problem other than I ordered a “physical” gift card so I could go in the store (I needed several bags of litter and they won’t ship litter) and purchase what I needed. After more than a week, I decided to call and find out what the holdup was. They said they would try to contact the seller and the next day when I called back they said since the seller hasn’t replied to them, they would credit my credit card for the full amount

  8. Anna

I have purchased a $100 lowes gift cards 2 weeks ago, it came to me with a ZERO balance. I just emailed them 2 days ago and they were going to credit my account. I’m very anxious about this and hope they really do that. Will never get anything from them again.

  9. denise

Please be very careful. i purchased a gift card from them. once i got the card i checked to make sure the balance was correct it was at first i put it away to give as a gift for Christmas. my parents received their gift card tried to use it and it had zero balance. I called the retailer of the gift card to find out if their was a balance they said “no” when asked when it was last used they said it wasn’t but the gift card was purchased with a stolen credit card. Apparently, this is a common problem according to the retailer with the resale of gift cards.

We have bought a dozen or more cards from raise and never an issue. E-gift and physical. Just beware that sometimes the e-gift are for online only use. Thanks for the coupon!

  11. Tina

I purchase my gift cards through the mypoints website and stock up when they are offering extra points then I use my points for gift certificates to clothing stores I frequent. I figure I am going to go the drug stores anyway why not make the money stretch even further?

  12. Jim

I have bought from them and had my ecard emailed in less than 2 minutes after i paid them NOW cardpool was an entirely different story they called to confirm my ID while i was at work i tried calling them 7 times over a 5 day period and it only ever went to voicemail and no return call i disputed the charge with my cc company

  13. Hannah

I’m trying to sell a e gift card to ugg and i thought people would buy it instantly but they’re not , is this website not very popular? Or am I doing something wrong? I would like a sellers point of view. Thank you.
