Can invites be sent by those who received them?
I don’t think so because I went to purchase it and it seemed as if it was going through, when I hit confirm purchase it confirmed my address, then I had to got confirm once more to charge my card and the message said “sorry this deal is invite only. This email address was not included in this round” so it must only be to select email addresses.
LOL, put in cart tried to check out and said SORRY DONT QUALIFY!!! oh well maybe next time. I did really wanted it tho… 🙁 Thanks anyway maybe next time I will qualify.
Bummer! Got all the way to the payments page, pressed submit and then got an error staying my email wasn’t part of the invite.
I didn’t get the email, but when I click on Collin’s link it does come up and looks like I can purchase it. But BEWARE — the fine print says “Only valid recipients of Groupon email offer are permitted to purchase. Deal cannot be purchased with promotional codes, gift codes, or Groupon Bucks. If you violate these terms, Groupon will refund your purchase and close your Groupon account.”
I don’t think it’s worth trying if you did not get the email. Would hate to have my Groupon account closed!

I heard people have had issues with Groupon on physical orders. There have been instances where they haven’t received their Shell cards, etc, disputes where Groupon still charged them for an item they never received.

I had a problem with this one in the past but when I contacted Groupon about not receiving the shell GC, they refunded my money right away.
I’m one of those customers who never got their Shell cards…and I ordered it last year. I contacted Groupon and they said they had it resent to me but I still haven’t got it. I reached out to them a couple days ago and they told me they have no idea when I will get it and if I want I can get Groupon bucks instead. Ugh!
I had a problem with a shell gift card I bought in November and never got. They said they mailed it out twice to my address and it never got here, they said the post office didn’t recognize my address(I’ve never ever had a problem with anything else) and then they “sent” it to my parent’s and it never came. 4 months of going back and forth I got credit….groupon credit! Never ever will order a actual gift card again!!
I also ordered the card on two separate occasions last year. I’ve contacted Groupon twice. Each time they “resent” it. I’ve never gotten even one. And, I’ve never received a refund.
That happened to me. I never received my card, even after it was “resent” twice. I finally just asked for a refund.
If any of you get it this time, be aware that the envelope it comes from is not easily identified as Groupon. I happened to open the letter and I was surprised that it was the Gift Card. Justy FYI for those o you that didn’t “receive” it, you might have thought it was junk mail.
I purchased one a while back and cannot find any Shell stations to honor it. I have to call Groupon to be refunded.
I purchased one before, when I saw it on this site. I just used the gift card at the pump, never went into the store.

I purchased the same deal a couple of months ago and never received the card. After contacting Groupon and confirming my address with them, still no card received. I finally asked for a refund and received it in Groupon bucks.
Check your My groupons because i got the shell gift card vochuer instantly after placing my order. Later i printed that out and used it at shell station.
@Aim; I thought we cant use the voucher at shell station, we need the gift card. Did they scan it ?

I’ve had horrible luck with both Groupon and Tanga the last couple of orders. Tried doing this deal before I saw these comments and it declined saying I wasn’t on the list. I guess everything happens for a reason.

I ordered the Shell card and never received mine and after several emails to Groupon, they gave me groupon bucks!
I got mine I ordered in the past it did take about a month but they did come also it came in a very plain looking envelope so be careful to check all your mail like someone posted above.
I had issues with a Dunkin Donuts deal from last year. After not receiving it even tho it had supposedly been resent a couple times, I wrote to them and demanded that I get a refund in the form of my original payment (debit card) and they refunded me right away. If you have problems, just demand you are refunded the way you paid, not lousy groupon bucks!
It has been past 14 business days, and I haven’t received my shell card. I emailed them (still waiting for a reply) today. I think I’ll just ask for a refund in the form of my original payment since this just sounds like they are trying to scam people by hoping they’ll forget about paying for the groupon.
