It wouldn’t let me do it yesterday, but it just went through today.

  2. Joni

Got it! Thanks Collin, your my Starbucks girl!

  3. LaceyLynn

Heads up on this, you can only use it in stand alone locations. We tried to use it at the Barnes and Noble in Newport, KY and were told that we could not use it…

    • Laura

Correct B&N has never accepted starbucks cards.

    • Michelle

I use my gift cards/Starbucks reward card at the Starbucks in target multiple times a week, which is not a stand alone store.

      • LaceyLynn

I had wondered about that, but the person at Barnes and Noble explained it in those terms. I’ll give it a try!

        • Pam

Target and Barnes and Noble are different. I always use my GC at Target like a regular Starbucks location but can’t at B&N because I was told they aren’t part of Starbucks… Kinda like they just sell their items… Even the people there have B&N uniforms and not Starbucks like at Target… But, Target locations are still different in a way cause you can’t get birthday or free treats cause of your rewards… Or, at least, that’s what I was told…

        • Mona

Pam, that’s my experience, too, with Target. I can use my card and get stars for using my mobile app but I can’t redeem my bday rewards or free treat rewards. Have yet to try to use my mobile card at B&N so no comment there though.

    • Diana

Couldnt u just transfer balance to your starbucks card? U should have no problems like that. ☀️

      • LaceyLynn

Good idea, i’ll have to try that!

      • Ivy

I don’t know if it’s considered cheating but I transfers the balance to my gold card and that way the amount never expires (not that it last long) and it’s all in one place

        • Laura

I do this all the time

        • Casey

It gives you the option when you select “Redeem Online.”

        • mona

Ivy, I came on her to ask if we can upload it to the mobile app. Is that what your gold card is? thanks

    • Ana

The last time I bought the card I used it at my college’s Starbucks, so I don’t think it’s only for stand alone stores.

    • Couponrn

The coffee shop at Barnes and Noble just sells the Starbucks product and brand, but they are separate from the company. My friend used to work there and said people would get mad when they tried to use their gift cards there and couldn’t. Basically it’s like if you tried to say, use a Ben and Jerry’s gift card at Kroger just because Kroger sold that brand of ice cream there.

      • Amanda M

Couponrn you could not have explained it better!!! I go several times a month with my oldest daughter to B&N for a special treat and to read magazines( super inexpensive mommy/daughter time) and I could not believe how many people get angry with the cashier/baristas over this! I feel horrible for them! but yeah B&N location is a no go but Target ones are a yes 🙂

  4. Patti

Do they email the Egift card?

    • Brindha

No it’s under my groupons. Open it and use in ur phone if u have groupon app or print it out.

  5. Sam

Why won’t it let you use the 15% code for this deal, but it’s under the “local deals.”?

    • Alicia

It says no promo codes is the terms of the Starbucks groupon. Would have been nice though!

  6. Lisa

We use ours at Target and in Disney World…weird B&N doesn’t accept them.
I got three somehow between my husbands and my account.

    • JD

Good idea to use at Disney! Going there soon! Curious – is there a huge mark up there?

      • Brindha

Not really. Usual Starbucks prices(which is a mark up IMO). We had a light meal using our Starbucks gift cards there 🙂

        • JD

Awesome – thanks! (Agree btw- ridiculous prices to begin with though)

  7. Debra B.

    8% cash back through shopathome.com and 6% through ebates.com!

    • Sandy

      Does anyone shop through mypoints.com?

  8. Laurie

Have mine – Thanks so much

  9. Michelle

Am I the only one that didn’t receive the gift card offer from buying Starbucks coffee??? My mom didn’t get hers either

    • FLmomma

Just search “Starbucks” in Groupon search engine. It came up for me.

    • mallory

I think you are talking about the spring offer from April..fine print said to receive them in 2-3 weeks..I realized I never got mine either so I just emailed and they put $10 on my card..just email them the confirmation numbers

      • Heather

who did you email? Starbucks?? I haven’t gotten mine either

  10. Dawn

    how long does processing take?

  11. DJB

Just curious…can you “exchange” the e-gift for an actual card in the store…or maybe transfer the e-gift balance to an actual card? I don’t drink coffee but would like to give these as a little gifts to the college-bound kids in my family…and an actual card would be nicer to receive and keep up with.

    • Dan

Yes, you can. You transfer the balance from the eGift card to a physical one in stores.

    • michelle

DJB: good question. I’m looking to do the same. Anyone know?

  12. Cindy

Got mine! The rewards are a great deal. I’ve gotten lots of freebies with mine!

  13. Megan

how do you add this to your starbucks card to get points?

    • mona

Megan, did you ever find out how to add this to your mobile starbucks card? thanks

      • Denise

It’s easy to transfer to your physical gift card. You just click on your purchased groupon and then there is something that let’s you transfer to a Starbucks card. Just make sure you already have a physical starbucks gift card and account set up. If you have the starbucks app and a card linked to it you will see the amount on there as soon as you transfer it.

        • Mona

Thank you Denise! So I have to make sure my gift card is set up and connected to my Mobile gift card, right?

        • Mona

I figured it out finally. Thank you again.

  14. Tracey

I did this last night. Such a good deal I can’t wait to use it.

  15. Dan

Still available for those who haven’t gotten one.

  16. Dani

Not letting me do it now.
