Just went myself to snag this deal. Not many on the shelf so maybe later this week I will price match Walmart!

  2. MIchelle

If you still have the $2.00 off Tide from the P&G – you can get them for .95 cents! I just got back and got 3! 🙂

    • jennine

that coupon excludes the clean and fresh. Bummer, cant be used for this deal. please no one else “try it anyway” you now know its not valid and wrong to use.

      • Nik

Ditto! I guess people forget how to read when it comes to couponing.

      • MIchelle

Thank you for your reply, I honestly didn’t pay attention to the exclusion on the coupon this time – I was in a hurry and knew I had a coupon for Tide. I am usually very careful on what I use to make sure I am getting the correct item. So YES I know how to read.. this was a mistake on my part this time.

        • Nik

I apologize! I just get so frustrated when I see people misusing coupons. It takes mere seconds to read a coupon.

          • Theresa

Why are you so mean to people?!

      • I heart Nik (and radio)

Nik at Nite…you da stuff. I love how you police the coupon world; you should be in Ferguson helping out!

  3. Lisa

How is this compared to regular Tide?

    • JulianFaux

Lisa I think it works just as well even though they claim to have stripped down the regular ingredients.

      • Julie

I think it works great! Takes out odors just like regular tide!

  4. Casey

Why wasn the $2 q posted?

    • Gina

It excludes Clean and Fresh 🙁

    • mel

b/c its not valid on the Simply.

  5. jhnicole

Yeah I still have my 2 dollar q but its in my q book @ my moms.does it exclude clean&fresh?thanks

    • jennine

yes it does exclude the clean and fresh. Collin in VERY throw with her posts. if she doesn’t post the coupon it typically means its not vaild.

  6. Liz

Hey, When I emailed her i did not know, i went 2x and used the coupon for $2/1 and it worked for me, but still its a great deal! and i used the downy coupon too $3/2 so it was 2.90 for both! I am so excited I had a deal!!! lol!

    • Nik

How do you “not know”? Do you not read the coupon before you go to use it? That is like couponing 101.

      • Renee

Be nice! People do make mistakes especially when in a hurry.

        • Nik

It takes a few coupons to read a coupon? Even in the biggest hurry you have time to read a coupon.

          • Tiffany

Just like it takes a few SECONDS to spellcheck. We all make mistakes.

            • Sarah

Ummm….she spelled everything correctly! Just pointing that out!!

              Play nice girls.

            • Nancy

Umm…. I don’t think so… You might want to reread it.

  7. TH

Does anyone know if it includes the ‘HE’ ?

  8. Esti Corcoran

Yes! The $2 off coupon worked! I got 4 bottles for $4 and change! Thank you so much!

    • Nik

So you used it knowing that the coupon excluded it? That is coupon fraud. You as well as everyone else will be paying for it when they switch to .25/1 bottle just like the charmin and bounty paper products.

      • meg

Agree! Do not use coupons for things they are not intended to be used on! This is one reason why policies change and coupon values are reduced! Is this what you teach your children to do?

  9. Esti Corcoran

Yes, the yellow Tide Simply Clean and Fresh bottles say on the back that you can use it in HE washers too!

  10. monica

a better deal if u can wait is go to the dollar tree website and print the 5 off 25 itll lower ur oop

  11. Kristen

I find the sarcasm and shaming on here a bit much. While I agree it is okay to point things out, the out-and-out blaming and assuming that people are doing it on purpose is pretty ridiculous. I simply don’t assume the worst of people.

    • Connie

      I absolutely agree!

  12. sherry

This Tide smells like toilet bowl cleaner. Last time it was cheap I bought several bottles without smelling first. I wont do that again.

  13. Meghan

    Hi Michelle
I made the same mistake. Don’t let these people make you feel bad. Usually people are so thoughtful on this site and helpful. Gees ladies give people a break.
I didn’t care much for the scent but cleaned my boys baseball pants really well. For that price I’m ok with the scent if it works.

Does anyone know if you price match at Wal-Mart or target are you also allowed to use your coupons or cartwheel on the price match?

    • Charlotte

If you have a dollar General in the area, it’s say yes. We get the insert in our Sunday newspaper, but there is none near my house. But since I get the insert, I can price match with Wal-Mart. Just did that last night 🙂

  15. Stephanie

Last month I did this deal on Saturday. Bought 9 bottles and then used the $5 off $25 dollar general coupon and then stacked my $1 Tide coupons with it. I have enough coupons to do that again this Saturday. Total will be $12.55 plus tax for 9 bottles.

  16. Kim

I was able to use the coupon at Target on the buy one get one half off.

    • Kim

Thanks for the breakdown Michelle. Next time that might be a better option and it also uses less plastic. I agree about how difficult it has become to coupon and although I have only been couponing for 1 year I have noticed a huge difference. I read every coupon and check for exclusions, this also helps the cashiers because they sometimes get overwhelmed.

  17. LesYax

    I had $2 off 1 and so I payed .96 each!!

  18. michelle735

I was in the DG today because I wanted to use the $5 off $25 coupon. They did not have any of the 40 oz bottles. I did this deal the last time and was able to score 6 bottles on a Saturday! I really liked the product and with 3 kids I do a lot of laundry. If you need it like I do DG has a 138oz bottle for $9. I did the math, with the $1/1 coupon it comes to 4.87 cents per oz with the 40 oz. bottles. The 138oz bottles come to 5.79 cents per oz. So if you go and buy (3) 138 oz. bottles … $9 X 3 = $27 – 5 (DG store coupon)- $3 in manufacturer coupons = $17 / 3 bottles = $5.66 per bottle, which works out to 4.1 cents per oz. I also wanted to say, please stop using the $2/1 off coupons they state excludes this product. If you use it you are doing so fraudulently. Couponing and finding deals has been getting more difficult over the last 5 years. I believe that is partly because manufacturers are tightening the belt because of some couponers’ dishonestly. I am not perfect myself but there is a difference between accidently using a coupon and knowingly being dishonest. 🙁
