SavingStar: Redeemable At Walmart, Target, Walgreens, Kmart, Meijer & More Starting July 2014
Do you shop at any of the stores pictured above?! If so, you will be able to save even more starting next month with SavingStar! Yep, SavingStar just announced that you will be able to redeem SavingStar grocery offers at Walmart, Target, Kmart, Meijer, Walgreens and more stores starting July 2014. Note that they have yet to release the specific details – hopefully soon!
Not familiar with SavingStar? Redeemable at over 24,000 grocery and drug stores throughout the country, SavingStar’s eCoupons are linked to your store loyalty cards – when you buy the qualifying product at any of the stores, SavingStar rewards you for the purchase with cash that is deposited into your SavingStar account within 2-22 days. You will also receive an email when the savings post to your account. And once you get $5 in your SavingStar account, you can transfer the savings to your bank, PayPal, or Amazon gift card.
(Thanks, Kayla and Midwest Coupon Clippers!)
Oh Collin, as you would say, “I’m super stoked about this!!!” Yay! (=
I wonder how? Maybe like iBotta or Checkout 51? Not their normal loyalty card way?
I wondered the same thing. How they gonna do this?
This is wonderful news! Savingstar is great!!!
So excited! Right now I can only use it at CVS. I’m thinking it will work like iBotta and Checkout 51 becasue not all these stores have loyalty cards
I am soooo glad! I’ve missed out on a ton of freebies because the only store that works with SavingStar for me is a store I almost never go to. Hooray!
Me too! I’m SO excited to finally be able to participate in their great offers!
I stopped using saving star because it was a pain…with the new stores I am willing to give them another try. Thanks!
Same here
If it needs to be linked to a store card how would you use it at store without a store card? Guess that will be part of the details to come soon 🙂 I’ve never done SavingStar yet but now that it will be available for the store I shop at I’m excited!! 🙂
I was thinking the same thing
If it is anything like Festival Foods, FF issued “loyalty” cards but they only applied to saving star and had no impact on the sales in the store.
With stores that don’t have loyalty cards, a special UPromise card has been provided in the past.
This is great! I just hope you don’t need a mobile phone.
Very excited! Hope they will let us link to more than four stores. I am looking forward to being able to take advantage of the weekly vegetable/fruit offer. My local grocery store accepts all Savingstar offers, except the fruit/veggie. Their produce is too high anyway – lol. Excited about using at walmart and target!
Awesome news indeed! I’ve never used saving star (too lazy to get a store card), but now I’ll definitely sign up!:)
Yes, this is so awesome! Hopefully it will work as smooth as using it at Kroger and CVS.
Super excited!!! CVS is currently my only option and they hardly ever have the offer items.
If eCoupons on a Shop Your Way rewards card at Kmart don’t automatically come off, what makes the people at Savingstar think their eCoupons will?
Saving star e-coupon offers don’t come off at the register. Once the store uploads the receipt info to SS, and verifies the purchase, they credit the amount to your account. Depending on the store, it takes as few as 2 days, up to 12 wks.
I’ve been using SS for many years now and I only had 1 issue. I emailed them, and after they looked into it, the credited my acct.
AFA ecoupons not coming off, that can happen at any store. I loaded a bunch to my Winn Dixie care and several didn’t come off on my last shopping trip. I just went to CS where they refunded me cash.
Im so excited about target, walmart, walgreens, dollar general family dollar and kmart being added.
None of those stores have loyalty cards do they?
Walgreens does!
Kmart has one too
I am psyched. If you ever have an issue with a rebate not working they are easy to contact and I just keep my receipts. They are easy to attach to an email and they can help you a lot quicker that way.
SS has excellent customer service
Maybe theyll be issuing the key cards like they have for stater bros & albertsons
That is my guess.
YIPPY-SKIPPY BABY!!!!!!
This is awesome!
Agree that Saving Star is great at handling any problem. I sent SS a copy of my receipt, and my account was credited quickly.
i don’t know where to register my cards. Can somebody help please?
Hi Dorina, To add a card, go to My Account and then Cards from the gray row of navigational tabs. Thanks, Josh from SavingStar
thank you
I found the cards on my account but i wasn’t able to register them. When i click on a card the page goes black and when i click the second time a circle on that card that i first clicked goes around like it is searching but nothing happens.
Hi Dorina, I just tried and my computer and was able to enter a card. Can you please try again? If it’s not working, try clearing your cookies or cache in your browser, or try using another browser. You can also enter a card number through our mobile app. If you still have trouble, please send us a message with your card number by contacting us through our website. Thanks, Josh
have you started accepting Saving star at other stores such as Walmart yet?
Shannon, you can now redeem SavingStar offers at Walmart if you have our updated mobile app.
wish they would add the commissary :/
So Dollar General participates but they don’t have a loyalty card. How will that work?
I hate to be a wet blanket, but I’ll bet that when they add the non loyalty card stores you will not be able to use a paper coupon or another e coupon. I’ve used saving star since they started and just like C’s big changes are coming. Saving Star was too good to last!
Do you have to have a smartphone?
Sure hope it doesn’t require a smartphone!
Any weis markets shoppers? Did you see they now participate with Ibotta! Looks like you load your card to the app so no sending receipts.
im super stoked about this, i cant wait!!!!!!!
I wonder how it will work with Walmart… They don’t have a loyalty card
does.this.require.a.smartphone?
This does require a smartphone, except for Kmart (who will be participating with us later this week and will link deals to their Shop Your Way card).
The new app is live now. Has anyone tried it yet?
i tried to download the app but it says its not compatible with my phone so is there another way? instead of using the computer.
Hi Chela, If the app is not compatible with your current phone, you can try to download the app on a tablet if you have one. Otherwise you would need to use the website (although for certain stores the app is required to take a picture of your receipt). Thanks, Josh
If I don’t have a “smart phone, how do I get my “Meijer” store receipt to SavingStar? Thanks!
Hi John, Currently the only way to redeem SavingStar offers at Meijer is through the SavingStar app. Thanks, Josh
