Video: How to Make a Pedestal Cake Display
In this video, I will show you how easy and affordable it is to make a homemade pedestal cake display. And these displays are not just for cakes! As you can see from the picture above, these displays are great for candies, cupcakes, fruit, jewelry, keys and more! And let me tell you – if I was able to make my own cake displays, then you will be able to do this too as I do not have a crafty bone in my body! 😉 Enjoy…
Supplies Needed:
- Gently Used Plates
- Candle Stand
- Adhesive
Directions:
- Place a generous amount of adhesive on the candle stand
- Glue and press the candle stand firmly onto the bottom of your plate
- Set aside for dry time

Super cute idea! Will definitely keep this in mind next time we have a birthday party at the house. Would be great to have a cute setup using these. Thanks!
Another adorable video! Thanks Collin!! Your bright and cheery personality always brightenes my day. 🙂
Awww… you are so welcome! Thanks for the kind words. 🙂
I made a couple for my daughter’s birthday from things at the dollar store. Turned out way cute!
Cute way to reuse old things that I am bored with just laying around the house, thanks Collin!
YW! 🙂
So cute, love this! Can’t wait to try it 🙂
Glad to hear it!
LOVE, LOVE this idea. I like to walk around at the gwill but never knowing what to buy besides clothes so this is perfect, big impact low cost. THANKS 🙂
You’re welcome!
love making these!
Collin, are you going to have a party to eat all that yummy food on your counter? 🙂
THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO
LOL! We sure did! 😀 It was gone within two days…. that’s how much we like sweets around here! 😉
Very cute and easy DIY idea. You make me giggle.
Love this idea!!!
I was so excited to see that this was your video. Love your recipe and craft posts! You always offer such a fun perspective!
Thanks for the feedback. I sure appreciate it! 🙂
I made the cutest Christmas one a couple of years back and broke it in my last move. 🙁
Love This! I might even get brave and attempt a 3 tier display!
WooHoo! You can do it! 😉
Sorry not really that cute
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Your taste may not be the same as Collin’s, but you can make them how it suits you/your decor. Some of the items I wouldn’t personally pick, but it’s the idea of how to make a pedestal with either cheap finds or stuff already around the house.
You got that right Mel! 🙂 it’s teaching others how to do it on a dime vs. $100 from a high end cake business.
Well then max don’t do it.
Very cute! On my to do list for sure!
@ Max that is not very nice, maybe that’s something you should keep to yourself!
Lolrof!! Seriously love your personality Collin! I wish we were neighbors, because we would get along great!
Come move to Boise! 😉
I love your personality, Colin! I would love to see more easy DIYs!!
Glad to hear you enjoy these DIY videos! 🙂
I loove this idea!!! You are the best!!!
Awww… thanks!
Thanks, Collin! I really enjoy learning new DIY ideas! In my opinion, it’s a super cute idea! 😊
What a great idea, thanks so much for the video!
ok so I don’t have a car today and can’t get the e6000 but i improvised and made 2 of these with my 10yearold daughter. I used superglue, which may not last but, and they are so special and fun to do. I also made a glass dome for the small one I made for a single cupcake. I used a clear glass soup bowl and a knob. Turned the bowl upside down and glued the knob on. So special and fun.
Great idea – I love frugal and fun!
You’re so adorable Collin! You know how to brighten everyday! Love the idea!
Awesome idea!!
You are such an awesome person love love love to see your videos makes my day go by smoothly.
I’m going to try this! I’ve always wanted a cake pedestal , but they’re way too expensive & never on sale (even day after Thanksgiving black Friday they don’t go on sale)! This way I can make my own to fit my style!!
Thanks Collin!!! As always another great video!! I so look forward to your videos!!
From a seriously craft-challenged person…I think I could actually do this, & maybe even enjoy it… You make it look so fun & easy 🙂 Thank you, Collin, for the inspiration!
Thanks so much Collin! I love to have a nice presentation at parties, but hate having to spend lots of money doing so. This is simple, inexpensive, beautiful and just awesome! Thanks again 🎂
