If you have $4 BALANCE REWARDS (POINTS) yes, you can use to pay for items that give you REGISTER REWARDS. Remember always not pay with points if you are waiting to get more points in same transactions and the same for register rewards. You can pay with points and get register rewards and pay with register rewards and get points.

You are correct that you cannot pay with points to get points… However, you can pay with register rewards and get more register rewards as long as it is not for the same exact item. They have made much more easier for the newbies… It used to be that you could not an RR on another item that by the same manufacturer and expect to get an RR back (even if it was completely diff items) and the walgreen’s coupons used to count toward your coupon/item ratio several years back.
this is new to me. so do I understand it correctly that the RR’s do NOT count for the item to coupon ratio? also, can I use a RR on a, for example, proctor and gamble item if I am buying another P and G item?
Nope. RR are a Manufacturer Q, so they do count. They way around that is that the count is per item. So look for something like the holiday pencils that are 10/$1. 1 pencil is $.10 and you can use a RR against it.
Buy the Starbucks first, pay 0 and get back $1. Then, buy the Crystal Light, pay $1 plus the $1 RR from the Starbucks and get back $2. Then buy the toothbrushes, pay .50 plus your $2 RR and get back a $2.50 RR. Then, buy another Starbucks and Crystal Light, use the $2.50 RR and pay .50 and get back a $2 and a $1 RR.

Another nice etiquette: if you are doing multiple transactions and there’s a line of 5 people behind you: DON’T DO IT.
The other day someone did multiple transactions and I was 3rd in line and no other register was open. Let’s just say the person ahead of me under his breath had some choice words.
Whenever there is a line, I will do 1 of my many transactions then go back to the end of the line. I think it’s still okay to do multiple transactions if you’re courteous and don’t make the same person wait in line behind you for more than 1.
This is what I have always done too… I also always have avoided peak times because I think it is so rude to hold up a ton of people. I go very early or very late.
If this happens when you see no other cashier, kindly ask the one you see if they can page a manager over to cosmetics and ring up over there with no wait and no hassle for others to wait. It helps cosmetics sales, and it helps you and the other people. A manager can always stop what they are doing for a moment to ring up when there are not enough employees on the floor. 🙂
I would then normally ask the person at the cosmetic counter to check me out

Wags is SO confusing with all their rules & restrictions and my brain is hurting trying to piece together my own answer. I have a scenario laid out and would like to know if this is correct.

1 sbux drink $1 & 1 crystal light $2, use $1/1 Q’s for both
pay $1 + tax, get $1 and $2 RR
trans 2
repeat trans 1
trans 3
2 cottonelle tp 4.99 ea & 4 sunny smile paper towels 2/$1
use $1/1 cottonelle from wags july book (will deduct $1 from both), use $1/2 cottonelle manu, and how many of the RR can I redeem on this transaction?
OH actually my cottonelle Q is $1/1 9pk or larger (or $1/2 4 roll packs) which makes it a little sweeter!!
So my question: If I buy *1* 12pk of cottonelle & *4* of the $0.50 paper towels, how many RR can I use after the cottonelle $1 manu Q and $1 july savings book Q?
You can use 1 coupon per item. Store coupons do not count towards this total. So if you purchase 5 items you may use 5 coupons. You can use your one manufacture’s coupon and your 4 RR on your “filler” paper towels to lower your out of pocket! Sounds like you have a great plan!!
You would be able to use 4 RR. It’s 1 manufacture coupon per item. Walgreeens coupons don’t count towards your total.
One helpful thing I learned the hard way is to hand the cashier your mq’s FIRST, THEN hand them your rr’s. I tried just stacking them in the order I wanted her to scan and she reordered them. I think the rr attached itself to any random item in my order and then when she tried to scan the mq for that item, it already had a rr attached to it. If you scan the mq’s first, then the rr’s will just attach themselves to any product that is left without a mq attached to it. Ever since I’ve been handing mq’s first, then rr’s, I haven’t had a problem. Makes me less stressed at the register now that I know what’s going on.
I had such a good experience in store today! I bought 1 coffee, used $1/1, paid $0. Then I bought 1 refresher, used $1/1, paid sales tax (weird, one but not the other…). Did another unrelated transaction and redeemed both RR. Walked out, put my bag in my car, and came back for another coffee (+crystal light) and refresher (+crystal light). It was such a pleasant experience. Wags is so confusing with their policies but I didn’t have any trouble today.
I do have another question: for the balance rewards / in-ad-coupon deals like the stride 3/$2 IAQ / spend $6 get 2000 balance rewards, is that a limit of one offer to each account? Or can I do that more than once in different transactions?
Also note when planning that the starbucks coupons say “One coupon PER VISIT”, not transaction.

I mixed & matched 1 sbux coffee & 1 refresher on my first walk in the store, then walked my bag to my car and went back in. No one minded the coupon language.
RR count as manufacturer’s coupons but I usually just get cheapo fillers like something clearance for $0.25, etc. to use my RR on. That way you can use your coupons that you want to use and still get to roll the RR. Do note that RR from the same manufacturers will not print if used on the same transaction (I.e., if you use a colgate-palmolive company RR on something made by colgate-palmolive like Colgate toothpaste, it will not print the RR out). I’ve also found that using points on anything (RR or points) will result in my not receiving any points or RR at all. I keep hearing that you can use points on RR items on sale but it doesn’t work that way for me…
Can we use the July savings booklet tomorrow even though it’s still June?

For the beauty points 50pts for every $1, I just got an email from wags which gave me the option to opt-in and add this offer to my card with just one click, you can do this so that you won’t have to have them scan the coupon in-store (in case you might forget. It’ll automatically apply the points every time you purchase qualifying products until aug 30.

For the Starbucks deal, since I’m on my phone, after I click get my coupon, it has to email it to me. Can I print that coupon twice? The barcode on the bottom left is the same number. Top right are two different numbers.

Wag is really turning into a terrible store!! I was told today you need at least 5000 points in order to redeem any points? Does anyone know if their is truth to this? Also, none of my RR printed today (scope deal and glade deal) worst customer service possible.
It is hit or miss when I can use my points. The computer seems to decide when and it never offers all of them. Lately too I haven’t been getting my waking steps activity points when I add them. Maybe there is a limit on them.
It’s in increments of 1,000 5,000 10,000 20,000 etc…Hth!
I had 3850 points today and was given the option to use 1000, 2000 or 3000. I’ve only been able to use 5000 at a time in the past.
You have to request that they hit the rewards points button on the checkout screen for you to redeem a balance of under 5,000pts.
You can use points in increments of $1, $2, $3, $5, $10, $20, etc. It always offers these options to me when I have the points to cover the cost.
I agree. I went to Walgreens today to score some free Starbucks. I was told the store could not accept my $1.00 of one coupon because it was a coupon violation. I pulled up the coupon policy while in the store and they sited policy number 7 – Walgreens will not accept coupons that exceed the selling price of an item (which my coupon did not) and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons (the manger said a register reward was considered cash). They really need to better educate their employees.
I am new to couponing and a little confused about the Walgreens RR. If I have RR to use can I use them on the glade wax melts since there will be 3 items and only 1 coupon or does the buy 2 get 1 free exclude RR to be used for those? TIA
I have a feeling it will probably only let you use the glade coupon and 1 register reward. You’re just going to have to try and see though.
With the 3 hydrogen peroxide for $1 deal is there a possibility to get the free first aid kit? That’d be a great score because its filled with wags coupons 🙂

I wasn’t impressed with that bag at all. J&Js bag was good. Walgreens’ bag has the handle on the bottom, so if it isn’t zipped things will fall out, and if it’s held the contents are upside-down.

Can someone remind me – in-ad coupon, like the one for the Lindsay olives – if you bought several in a transaction, and wanted to pay with RRs, does the in-ad coupon count as ONE coupon on the transaction, or does it count as one x the number of items I got with it?
Store coupons don’t count.
The in-ad q limit is 3, so you can buy three cans, use the in-ad q plus three rr’s (because you can stack store q’s with mq’s).
Hi , quick question: What exactly does the starbucks coupon mean by one per visit? If I do different transactions can I use one coupon on each? And if not, any suggestions for working around this?

I’m loving the deals this week. Thanks for posting early so I could be prepared today! Thankfully, my 2 regular stores were well stocked and I was able to get everything as planned! Spent $82, saved $272. Left with $2RR and 28,000 points. 🙂
Terrible time at Wags. My cashier wouldn’t let me do the Starbucks OR crystal light deal with coupon. So didnt buy. Very frustrating. His rationale was the RR made them free and no coupons on free items. Booo

I was doing the Starbucks deal this morning and the cashier said I could no longer do anymore transactions on the register reward card. Is there a limit? And if so how long does the limit last?
How many transactions did you do? I did 3 today without issue.
The actual card does have a daily transaction limit but it’s huge like 50 or something. We actually a few people who hit that limit last black friday though lol ~_~
Other than that it really depends on the area otherwise. Due to the people doing like 50 transactions and then pulling out another balance rewards cards to try and keep buying after the computer locked them out my district has a limit of three transactions back to back to avoid shelf clearing of RR items like last year.

For the revlon deal, could I also use the $1.00 off nail cosmetic coupon in the July Coupon Booklet with the $1/1 coupon from the 6/15 SS, so I pay $2.99 and get back the $3 RR to make it practically FREE??
I went to wags and did not had any issues. I did get the lemonade, gum tbrush, and both of the starbucks. I was behind a young guy and he was taking 6 vanilla starbuck (he took all of them) and he had a booklet of the starbucks coupons ( I wonder where did he get them from) and he did six transactions with no issues.
As of 06/29 in the evening, walgreens store is refusing to honor the $1 Starbucks coupon when you are trying to purchase then one at a time.

My pull ups rang up super weird, the first one as $9.50 (makes sense as they are 2/$19) but the second one rang up 50% off at $4.75. Obviously i didnt get the 5000 points because of this but still works out to be the same. If all stores are ringing up the same, it could be an awesome deal with more than 2 packs and more coupons but my 3 year old was having a fit so i didnt try
Just figured that if you bought 4 pks at $9.50 and bogo half off and could get ahold of 4 $3.50 coupons it would be an awesome deal at $2.37 per jumbo pk. That is if all stores are ringing up the same

Went to Walgreens this morning to purchase the Starbucks Refreshers and a few other items. I was notified by both the cashier and manager on duty that as of June 15th they received a 15 page document on RR and coupons. I was not allowed to use both the coupon and receive a register reward to bring my cost to zero plus receive the RR. They allowed me to purchase the Refreshers with the $1 coupon and then ripped the RR that came out. Can anyone confirm that this in fact true??
I regularly visit 2 stores. 1 let’s me use a coupon to pay $0 and still receive a RR. 1 says no mfg coupons on an item that is free after RR. I tried the online customer service chat and they wouldn’t give me an answer. I read the policy and it isn’t clear.
To me it isn’t “free” if I have to swipe my card/pay tax so I don’t feel guilty paying $0 and getting a RR. I’m curious to see what others think (and if anyone has received a clear answer from corporate).

Did anyone else have any problems with the Starbucks deal? I bought the refreshers and my RR did not print out. The cashier refused to listen to any reason and said since I used $1 coupon I am practically getting it for free so I will not get the $1 RR on top of that. People you need to quit letting your cashiers make up their own rules and bully you like that. They have no business taking away or ripping up or denying you the register rewards. Call the manager on duty over! Contact Catalina Marketing! If the store keeps your register reward then they are stealing from you!
If your register reward didn’t print make them ring up the item again without the coupon. Probably the machine is off or out of paper. Look for the green light on the machine.
Anyone else ever have items that are marked for RR and not receive them??!! I went to wag’s last night and never got my RR on the wag brand toilet paper, or the Venus razor, total of $4!! I didn’t discover the error until I got home (left store during a thunderstorm). The time before I shopped at wag’s, there were 3 items that didn’t ring up the right price either, it’s getting a lil aggravating 🙁

Hi guys, I just went to Walgreens tonight to get revel on nail polish, it was $4.99 with card ,normally $5.29or so without card,and get $3 RR. I wanted to use Walgreens coupon for $1 off region nail,cosmetics coupon, but when the cashier scanned it, it didn’t go through at all.
