With Walgreens brand new and stupid coupon policy, you won’t be able to do this. Even with a filler.

It might work but not worth even trying to me. I am REALLY irritated at Walgreens! Gonna find items for exactly $2 and $3 to spend my RR because they are getting as little money from me as possible and then I will not be shopping there anymore.

    • Carol_R

You can stack the Walgreens coupon on a manufacturer coupon even in their new policy. It should work.

      • kt

Carol, have you been there lately. I had to fight with two stores trying to use a $3 rr on the Reach toothbrushes (2.99) and a 14c filler. my total was 3.13, but the cashier and the manager would not let me use a $3 rr, since both items are under $3. Brand new stupid coupon policy. Manager should it to me. Then I left the store.

I shop there all the time at 2 Walgreens in my area. I haven’t had any problems. The cashiers are friendly and know me.

          • paula

The RR policy changed on 8/19. I know all the cashiers at all 3 of our locations and many of the managers and they are nice also but was told there was nothing they could do. Get ready for a change if you have not tried to use RR since the 19th. The RR has to attach to an item of equal or greater value per RR. You can not use RR towards your total purchase anymore. EX: you buy 4 cottonelle @ $1.99 which would total $7.96. You would only be able to use $1 RR or lower for EACH item and that is if you did not use coupons on the item. Before you would of been able to use any amount of RR to bring your total down. Not anymore!

Hi, Wondering where you saw this change?? I looked at walgreens policy on their website and it mentions nothing about this. So I don’t think it is true. No site’s including Collin’s have said anything about a policy update.

Re: The RR has to attach to an item of equal or greater value per RR. You can not use RR towards your total purchase anymore.

So if you have an RR for $10, something that is frequently available, you can only purchase a $10 item with the RR?

            • paula

              Correct Melissa, really stinks!

This is why I love rite aid and that’s not just because I work there LOL

      • paula

It is not in their coupon policy, just something they decided to change without informing the customers. My fav cashier said they made the changes on the 19th, so they are even aware of it because her manager informed her about it. If you look on their face book page you will see all the comments of people who are having the same issue and are upset. It is nationwide. Go in and test it out. If you bought 2 cottenelle for $1.99 you would not be able to use a $3 RR or even 1 $2 RR because the items are below the value of the RR. If your cashier over rides it then you are lucky because my stores are not out here. Good luck.

I checked out the Walgreens FB page and see the comments regarding this change. It looks to me that the Walgreens rep responding doesn’t understand the issue. Hopefully it is just a computer issue and not a policy change. But I hope you and everyone else who has had the experience this week that you have had posts to Walgreen’s FB page. I haven’t been to Walgreens in a few months so have no RRs to use. But when I do, oftentimes I am running into Walgreens on the last day before the RR expires to use it/them. Walgreens coupon policy/register rewards/points system is already way too complicated. To add another layer of complication makes me not want to even deal with shopping there.

      • paula

It is not coupons we are having a problem with Melissa but with spending our RR and how we are able to use them.

      • kt

The manager showed me the new coupon policy. It was highlighted, #7. Walgreens will not accept coupons that exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.

They are treating RRs like a manufacturer coupon. It has to be applied to an item, not the subtotal.

I do not think it’s in the policy, but is happening to a lot of people including me. I usually go to 2 stores where they are coupon friendly, but in 1 of them the register would not take the RR and cashier did not put it manually as she used to do before (was there last week). In the other one, the RR beeped but cashier read it and just put it manually (3 weeks ago), if I go again I do not think she will put it manually anymore. I have some RRs left and after I figure out how to use them, I will not shop there anymore!

I used this coupon deal today at 2 different Walgreens on my way home from work. Rang up for 99 cents. Thank you!

I’ve had issues when trying to use ANY coupon at walgreens. My walgreens is not coupon friendly at all!

  3. Carol_R

This has the same ingredient as Gas-X so it’s effective.

  4. Elisa

I have used this before and it works temporarily.
I drink ginger Kambucha and it works wonder for gas.

  5. U

    I liked the Gelusil tablets!

  6. Dawn. w. g.

I will tell you I like the .88 walmart gas relief for I think 10 tabs. They also sell the same one at the dollar tree. When I take 2 it relieves the pain from fast food, lol but really 🙂

  7. Jen

The gelusil tabs are amazing. I got those a while back in the CVS deal.

I have been doing this deal all month. It works as there is still 1 buck to be paid. It works well for me and I suffer from stomach issues.

    • kt

Have you tried it since 8/19. it won’t work any more.

  9. Michelle

I love this stuff! I have been on all kinds of prescription medication, tried tons of otc remedies, and I was sooooo thankful I found this!!! I missed it in my ads, so I know I don’t have the high value coupon, BUT I actually bought a bigger of it at R.A for a lot more ($9.99.. which was 1/2 off) and it was worth every penny:)
