    Thanks… super easy
Anyone know of subscription boxes geared towards African Americans

      • brandice

        Thanks

    • CrescentCityCurly

There’s Cocotique and Curlbox for your hair.

      • Crescent City Couponer

        Hi,

        Thanks for the info.

  2. Holly (@wispsofthewind)

Is it $5 for all the seasons boxes or is it just the first one and then more expensive after that?

    • melloddie

I was looking for that info. as well, but isn’t specified on their website. However, upon googling, seems like this offer has been around for sometime and sites all mentioned the same $5 shipping cost. I did read the terms on canceling, there is a cancel option when you go to your Account so seems easy enough. I think it’s worth it, so giving it a try. I just don’t like that they don’t ask anything in particular about the skin types/routines so some stuff that comes may not be suitable but $5 is pretty decent price still 🙂

    • Splatterpunk

      It’s $5 four times a year. (every 3 monhts)

    • Laurie

It’s always just $5 for shipping, the box is free, so everytime you get a box, they will charge you $5

    • Cindy

I just found a website that gives away a free beauty box every few weeks. The site is http://www.beautybox.us . Looks like a ton of stuff, a lot of full sized items, at least from the pictures. You have to post a comment telling them why you should win and they pick someone. I hope I win. If I do I will post pics here.

  3. eemommy

thanks Collin! Brandice – I used to get Ipsy glam bag and Birchbox. One of them, maybe both, asked many questions when you sign up regarding skin tone and product preferences. I felt that when I received something like foundation it was an appropriate shade. Only once or twice did I get a useful hair product though.

  4. Mary

Is it $5 flat each season, so four times a year? Hopefully no hidden charges.

    • Mary

Got my subscription. I love getting inexpensive little treats in the mail! Thanks 🙂

  5. Sheela

$5 a season doesn’t seem too bad ($20 a year). I think these will be more of a good sample size than the $10 subscriptions I have. BirchBox has given me too many foil packet samples that I could have requested from the company for free. If the Walmart ones anything like the picture above, I believe it’ll be awesome!!!

    • CW

Yup I agree I dropped Birchbox for the same reason

    • Ashlyn

      Me too.

  6. Kaley

I’ll try it for $5! If it sucks, I can always cancel. I love getting goodies in the mail. Thanks!!!

  7. K.Emily

Each time I see this type of offers I want to ask- How do you girls trust and agree to pay someone else to pick what you need to apply to your face?? So are you guys ordering this without being certain what exactly will you get? And are you gonna apply it anyway since you paid for it? Look, the face is what others see first when they see you. Isn’t it almost like neglecting it?

    • Splatterpunk

How else does one try new products? You go to the store, look at the shelf, pick something you think you’d like and give it a try. This is the same thing, on a smaller scale. Sure, they are picking what goes into to the box, but it’s still up to each person to either try the products or not. And, I’ve found that I often end up liking something I never have tried on my own.

      • Mary

How are you ever going to know if you like a new product if you don’t try something new? It is less expensive than most subscription boxes. You can’t really go wrong with deodorant or hairspray like in the pic, even so they would be great additions to a gift basket. And these aren’t knock off products that no one has ever heard of, its stuff that I would most likely use anyway.

      • susan

I agree there have been many new and amazing products ive been introduced too by trying a sample first and my skin looks amazing because ive tried many different things to find the perfect thing for my skin.

    • giaberryman

I look at it as a chance to try products that I wouldn’t think I would like and wouldnt normally buy, but then end up really liking them. Also with Ispy the value is really awesome because you get named brand products (like urban decay and benefit) that you usually wouldn’t splurge on but its def worth the $10 a month. Its kinda like christmas every month because you don’t know what you will get

    • Roo

If I order something like this and there is something I don’t want to try, I usually have a friend who could really use it, or I can donate it to a homeless shelter or women’s shelter.

  8. Barb J

    got one. thanks Collin.

    • nicolegammeter

      You’re welcome, Barb! 🙂

  9. Starla

I saw that there is a contact number at the bottom of the page if you want to ask questions.

  10. Barbara

Does anybody got one of their box before? If they send out a box filled with such a nice product on their pic above, I ‘d like to apply for.

    • Jessica

oh thanks! I’m in my 8 mths pregnant but might get the 2nd trimester box.

    • J

This is awesome, but the actual baby boxes just say coming soon…only ones currently available are for 2nd or 3rd trimesters. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on it for when they start the actual baby boxes, so thanks for the heads up!

  11. Ash

    Thankyou!!!

  12. w

is it full size items or travel size?

  13. lisa

    Can you pay using paypal?

  14. broadway96

Got it thanks.. I hope its better than Targets

  15. Katie

I’ll give it a go! Thanks for sharing this

  16. kim

Really off subject guys…but if you are plus sized and looking for a box curated for you, check out plusloveinabox.com

    • Jodi

      Thanks for sharing.

  17. Connie

It looks similar to the one Target used to offer. That wasn’t a subscription, but was $5 and this box looks very similar. I signed up. It’s worth $5 a box.

  18. Jodi

I signed up, I figured with me and 2 teenage girls in the house someone will use the products for that price.

  19. Noel

I decided to join, as the box itself is FREE … So, I’m simply paying a $5 Shipping Fee each season. And should any items included not be of interest to me (or my sister), then I can donate them to a local church who uses these items for their homeless shelter. And … I can cancel at any time. I personally think it’s worth it to try … And is much cheaper than many other subscription boxes.

  20. Shannon

I will take the free samples here and there when they’re offered no way will I pay them for samples.

  21. shopper

Found this comment on another blog, about why bday is required.

[…] I contacted their Customer Support line.
I was told that not everyone will receive the same items, and that they use the date of birth to customize a few of the items at their discretion.

    • melloddie

Thanks for the info. Now how do I go back and change it to younger age, I don’t want any Tena pads coming my way lol

      • Nan

        LOL! 🙂

        • w

did they say if it was full size or travel size items?

  22. Jenn

I find the plusloveinabox concept interesting, but when you visit their website and facebook page it looks like they are new and haven’t sent out any boxes before. Are they reputable? They don’t even have pictures of what a box would look like. But I could be interested if they sold cute things.

Although they are not cheap, if you like to try out locally made goods, I highly recommend batch.is. I like to give local products from my home state as hostess and other gifts and now I have a whole new selection of potential options for gift giving I would have never known about.

    • Noel

Jenn I was just looking at Batch.is and what a very cute concept. I LOVE the idea of locally made (non-franchised/mom’n’pop) products, even if those products aren’t necessarily local to me. ;] I see there are a few different “city” options at different prices. I understand typically these types of items are not cheap … So, I’m curious of what box you’ve received and if you think it’s worth the price paid? Thank you.

  23. Aleshia

Okay I have never done this before and honestly a box of 5$ samples is not worth it to me. However, if these are full sized and travel sized samples than is it. Can someone please let me know. I read through the comments, but no one mentions it. Thank you!

    • ligia

I think no one is responding to the questions regarding quality of the box is due to it being completely brand new. No one knows if it is sample size or full size as this is the first box.

  24. Leigh Ann Moore

Hi. I ordered the box. A few hours ago. was just looking @ my banking account. I also, have a charge of 5.66 to be removed on September 8th. Does anyone else have this? Thank, Leigh Ann

    • Noel

Hi Leigh Ann Moore … I just checked my bank account and I have a $5.00 Charge/Withdrawel pending from a “BRANDSHARE.US BERWYN PA.”

  25. Cathy B

I just signed up for a box. I will be receiving the Fall 2014 edition. I will come back and share what is in my box once I receive it.

  26. Shopper

What r the products in it?? Anyone!!

    • shopper

Every box is different. See my comment above about this.

  27. jess

Looks like they have a Baby Box as well!

  28. kat

    Love these! Thanks for sharing!

    • nicolegammeter

      You are welcome! 🙂

  29. Rachel

So I clicked on this link like 3 times, put my info in and it rerouted me each time to the first page. I dont see any charges on my account. But after 3 tries, still nothing. Oh well, would’ve liked to try it out. Boo

    • STEFANIE BARNETT

i have been trying to sign up for three days, keeps sending me back to the first page too. don’t know what the deal is!!!! 🙁

  30. Sandy VanConant

When I tried to sign up, I notice that the page they wanted your card number was not a secure page (no “https” at the beginning of the web address), and no paypal, so I didn’t do it. Too bad, because it seems fun.

  31. Merlene Reyes

  37. k white

Extremely good deal filled with the products you see in the picture. Two moisturizing creams and full size deodorant, perfume sample vial and more. It is a very good bargain and I do recommend this box.

  38. Kelly S.

I ordered the box, and they took the money. I was sent a shipment confirmation and tracking number a month ago. I still haven’t received anything. They only reply to my emails with a generic type we will look into it email. Don’t do it!!!

  39. Kat

They are charging my credit card and I’m not getting any boxes so I called my bank and cancelled it

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Bummer! Sorry to hear about that, Kat!
