Know anyone possibly having a baby today?! Check out this offer from Voya Financial

[h2s_box width=”2″ style=”dashed” color=”#FAB46E”]We’re helping the next generation take its first step toward retirement readiness, by offering every baby born on October 20, 2014 a $500 mutual fund investment as a head start on their retirement savings from Voya Financial in celebration of National Save for Retirement Week.[/h2s_box]

Here’s how it works…

* If you are a parent or legal guardian of a baby, born today October 20th, 2014, head over here to get registered (you have until December 19th, 2014 to register).
* After registering, you will receive an email with the next steps and a list of required supporting documents – such as child’s birth certificate. You can submit these documents online or have them post-marked by February 1, 2015.
* Once your supporting documents have been received, a Voya Financial Advisor will contact you to complete the online application (all applications must be submitted by March 6, 2015).
* Accounts will be funded on March 13, 2015 and families enrolled in the Voya Born to Save program will receive confirmation when their account is funded.

Keep in mind that you are not required to purchase any products from Voya Financial in order to enroll in the Voya Born to Save program. Sweet! For more information, head here.

First I would think a new mom/dad would be way too busy spending precious times with their new born on day of birth then on top of that giving a copy of birth certificate over with so much vital information on there? That’s crazy… sorry no way!

    • Katie

They have until December to submit the application and it’s going to a bank. There’s nothing on a birth certificate that an adult wouldn’t submit to a bank to get a loan.

If you read the entire post it says you have until December to register, until February 2015 to send in birth certificate, and until March 2015 to fill out the online application. So you don’t have to send in the stuff in today or even this month, so they are giving plenty of time for new parents to spend with their new borns. Also, how else would one prove about the birth of their baby without the birth certificate? They are a reputable financial company, and when you are part of any type of financial things such as this, or any type of retirement or stock investment companies, they have pretty much have/need all of that information anyway. They need your social security number and a lot of other personal information about you so that they can verify it’s you, and so that they can keep your money safe so that no one can just pretend to be you. That’s why they need so much information, is actually to protect us. I think it’s amazing and great that this company is doing something like this.
