mine came in a target mailer, or I think you can sign up for weekly email deals on their website somewhere.

Read Target facebook comments from Saturday regarding the doll and you’ll understand the comment. Someone had leaked the cartwheel list of deals which indicated the doll would be on special saturday, so people apparently had rushed out and bought up the dolls intending to do a return and rebuy on Saturday. But when Saturday came around, the deal offered was on Monster High dolls instead.
This is why people shouldnt cheat and should play by the rules! 🙂

A lot of hateful and upset comments about target and others over a doll last week on various social media sites.
I went to Target last week for the Pokemon set that was offered and they never even got any in that week.
I am having flashbacks to when I was little and there were wars over Cabbage Patch dolls lol

Yep me too! I love seeing these H2Sers getting great deals on countless items but I have two little girls that would like one but not for that drive for one item!! The gas would end up making them their original price 🙁

Target coupons (warapping paper coupon in this case) are always applied before cartwheel — so the $5 comes off first (for wrapping paper) then the cartwheel percentage off is applied. (regardless of when cartwheel is applied, it will work like this). total will be around $13.03

I did this deal this morning. I used the wrapping paper coupon first but then it only took off 8.97$ on the cartwheel for the doll. Customer service said it was because the two were used together. It ends up being a little over 13$ if you use the wrapping paper coupon and around 11$ just with the cartwheel.
I am confused. It says these dolls are not posable. But, does that mean they won’t even sit down? Does anyone’s child have one of these? Do they like them? TIA

The dolls arms and legs move up and down but they do not bend at the knees like some of the other OG dolls do. They are a good starter doll but definitely not the quality of American Girl. The clothes and accessories are really cute.
These are posable its the “sets” with the books not included in the deal.
They are “poseable” as in the arms and legs move up and down. They do not bend at the joints though. Target now sells a OG doll that has bends at the knees and elbows. HTH!
Just got back from my store in Deptford, NJ. There were only three dolls on the shelf. 2 Joy dolls and 1 Rose doll even though online said the store was in stock for several other ones. I picked up the Rose doll but the Cartwheel didn’t work at the register. Make sure you check your receipt. I went to customer service and had no problem getting my refund of $11.77. She also said that tomorrow is the last day for the 50% off toy deals??? Does anyone know if that is correct? I thought it was until December.
Its because cartwheel is only valid on certain dolls not all

Rose is a retro doll but the customer service rep scanned the barcode and said she should have rung up at the 50% and is a part of the deal, so that’s why she gave me the difference.
Whenbi was there on Saturday they only had 3 of the dolls with book and about 8 of the dolls by itself.

My Target (KC) had about 6 to choose from on the shelf at 8:15am. I came in for parchment paper and happen to see the doll deal :). The Cartwheel didn’t scan the 50% off and the manager argued with me that she couldn’t override Cartwheel. I was polite and told her it was the daily deal over and over. She unhappily adjusted it anyway.
I just wanted to let you know that JoAnn’s has their version of the Our Generation doll regular price of $24.99 if you use the coupon for 60% off ( expires 11/11/2014) it is $10.99. I did this Saturday when Target changed the toy and it worked perfect.

Just a note the dolls from Joanns and Michaels hair is TERRIBLE quality. Very cheap. Good for a starter doll, but does not hold up through play.
I agree about the hair. Mine is for my 2 yr old granddaughter who wants to be like her 10 yr aunt who has American Girl. I figure its perfect for the 2-4 year range depending on their abilities.
Got mine. I was standing outside door waiting for them to open lol. They only had 3 out. I was able to get one of them and one of the workers went to the back and got me another one. I bought one for my best friends daughter. Her sons super sick so she couldn’t get out! It is irritating that target is doing all this craziness with the cartwheels.
How were able to do that? Did you use the cartwheel app twice or did you scan your friend’s cartwheel barcode in a separate transaction? When I was there about a hour ago, a lady had a worker over at the dolls she wanted to but three and he said she could with the cartwheel deal :/
I went to Grand Forks Target this morning at 8:05, there were only a few there. When I tried to buy one at the register they said it was not valid so I went to Customer Service. After checking multiple times they figured out that if you look lower in the fine print of the cartwheel it was only on 3 dolls (listed the numbers) and not all 18″ ones. They could not give me the name of the doll though. They finally agreed to take 1/2 off the doll that I had. I left a bunch of upset shoppers in the aisle though who I hope were also able to get it taken off. It is Ridiculous that they were only doing 3 dolls out of all the assortment/different names that they have!!!!
it says three dolls but be sure to just directly scan the barcode on the doll you are trying to get before you head to checkout! mine went super smoothly and that’s my best tip for you all! Hope you guys can score this awesome deal 🙂 i went to the VH target in IL so in case anyone is reading from there, there were a TON left on the shelf!
Two different dolls I scanned (one brown hair, one blonde) had the same item #, so it’s likely that there are different varieties of each item number.
If you enter the second set of numbers on the target website, all the $22 dolls show up.

I was able to use my 25% coupon on the snow glow Elsa because they were out at the time.. With my gc n red dot card I got this doll for 8.10 cent

I found the coupon through an app called Shopular. I read that some Targets will take the coupon with this app and some will not. YMMV.
Watch your receipt with this deal. I also bought a $5 roll of wrapping paper. I used the $5 free wrapping paper Target coupon with toy purchase and for some reason, I only got $8.97 off the $22 doll. Customer Service paid me the difference in cash. They can’t return the wrapping paper/doll so that you can rebuy them because the cartwheel offer has a limit of 1 doll.
SAME! and they gave me back an extra $1 + $2.03 for the mistake! it’s super weird but you just have to explain to them that it was supposed to deduct $11 🙂 LOVE this deal!

Go to target.com, search for the codes 086-09-0031, 086-09-0128, and 086-09-0129, and it will show you which dolls work with the Cartwheel. You can also see if the one you want is available at your store on the website.

As another Hipster commented earlier … You can use the “Scan” feature in the Cartwheel App., which will confirm if the item you’ve picked up has an attached offer.
CW deducted $9.68 for me with the free wrapping paper. I’m not gonna complain about $1.32 today. I was lucky to get one.
I have to say these toy cartwheel deals have been very disappointing for people who work during the day. By the time I get up there after work, the few they started with ate gone. Such a bummer.

Can I get an opinion? My “Giving Tree” recipient, an 8-year-old African American girl, asked for an American Girl doll. The limit is a strict $25 so of course I’m going with one of these. Which African American doll do you think she would like best: Abrianna (purple outfit) or Kaylee (white sweater/dress). TIA. I so want her to be delighted with it!

My daughter wanted the Ella Grace one but of course mine target didn’t have that one. Got sienna, (wonder if I can exchange later) there were 5 on the shelf at 9 Am by the time I left about 20 mins later they were all gone
Is there a site where you can find what the deals are ahead of time. My target is 30 minutes away from where I live, and I know that I will need to be there when it opens to get the deal.
You should be able to check the Cartwheel app earlier in the morning to give you time to get there when they open if you want the item.
The earliest I have checked my app is 3 hours before opening and they already show.. HTH

My Target only had three dolls and they were gone the moment the doors opened. I’m grateful for the 50% cartwheel promo, but I wish the Targets were better prepared for the toy of the day. Being as popular as the Our Generation dolls are, I can’t believe three is all they’d have in stock.

I agree!! they may not be making a ton off of the doll itself, but they get you in the door so you buy other stuff and now you have to buy accessories which will cost a bundle.
Im at the Edina, Minnesota Target and there are 3 of the $22.00 dokks left named Rose. There are other ones on the shelf but are priced between $29.99 and $34.98. Plenty of those left.
I’m clueless about the Our Generation Dolls, can anyone tell me if they have an Asian-American doll? I’ve only seen Caucasian dolls and would really love to find an Asian one for my daughter that isn’t a complete stereotype! Thanks!
