I recommend going to the store early for these hot 50% off cartwheel deals. Yesterday my area was sold out of the doll deal by 10 am in nearly every store.

  2. Beth

When are these daily deals shown on Cartwheel? Is it a midnight “release” or is there a preview somewhere…hate having to feel like I need to change the day to get the deal ?

    • eyez1998

Beth I just click on toys and the deal shows up

      • Beth

Does it show up in advance or only for today’s deal? I can’t figure out how to find out about this before 9AM every day ?

        • eyez1998

I can see it as early as 6am central

        • MiisNoel

I’ve checked Cartwheel a couple times after Midnight … Maybe around 2/3AM in the morning and the new toy offer is there.

          • Beth

            Thanks for info!

            • Pinksapphire6

I’m in CA, and it usually shows up around 1:30 a.m. So adjust your time zone accordingly.

  3. Lindsay

Stores around Indy were sold out an hour after they opened.

  4. Amanda M

My store absolutely refuses to do price match and cartwheel. I went this morning and they wouldn’t do both.

    • Delia

They wouldn’t even use their own cartwheel? My Target informed me to fill out the survey on the bottom of the receipt to give feedback to the store. They even showed me the report they get that shows all the customer comments so I encourage you to fill out that survey the next time you get a receipt. It goes to their corporate office then trickles to the store management. Let your voice be heard so that you can get a better Target experience!

    • erin

Don’t be so obvious next time. Buy some other things in addition to your price match item. They don’t know what the Cartwheel applies to until you pay.

I think a lot of people run into problems because they call attention to freebies and cheapies by only buying those items in a transaction. It also tips off corporate, which sometimes ultimately ends up killing a deal. Now, theoretically, it should not matter as long as you are following store and coupon policies, but I think it’s important to show that you are a good customer and not just deal seeker/extreme couponer . . . even if you are 😉

      Mine too!

Call right when the store opens, ask to have a “toy put on hold” they will transfer you to the toy department. Then ask them to put the toy on hold. Works like a charm. Just be very pleasant and they will be more than willing. No where does it say No Items may be placed on hold 🙂 I did it yesterday. Called at 0900 and they were more than willing. Went in around 4pm and there was my doll waiting for me 🙂 good luck!

  6. Cassandane

My almost 4yr old daughter loves this Octopod! I may try to get this deal today and stash it in my gift closet.

  7. erin

I have young kids, but I have no idea what most of these Cartwheel toys are. Ignorance . . . saves me some money, I guess. 🙂

  8. Amanda Casto

I went to my local target and it rang up $36.99 they would not price match for the online price of $26 something with the cart wheel deal. Does that sound right? Did anybody else run into this problem??

    • Karie

It rang up 39 at my target. However they were very nice and price match the online and then offered the cart wheel as well!

    • Amanda M

I had the same problem at mine today too.

    • Brooke

That’s in their price match policy. They’re only supposed to price match if their price minus the cartwheel is still higher than the competitor’s. Some employees don’t follow/know this rule, so some people get away with it.

    • Moria

It was also $36.99 at my Target. My husband used his phone pulled it up on Target.com where it is $26.49. The cashier price matched and then I used cartwheel, so I got it for $13.24!

  9. Jane

I have question about Wish List everything on there says available online only. How we supposed to use 10% off coupon if it’s only online?Anyone know how this app works?

    • Jen

There is a promo code on the app that can be used online. It works for certain items because I was attempting to buy an item yesterday and it would not work. After an hour with customer service I gave up.

  10. Heather

It’s $25.89 at Amazon. Price matched then cartwheel made mine $12.94 before red card and tax! It was $36.99 in store and on Target’s website.

    • Shelly

How do you price match on Amazon?

      • nicoleabradley

I just show my cashier the Amazon price on my phone. At my Target they are more than happy to price match right at the register, no going to customer service. However, they do only price match to Amazon if it says “sold from Amazon” they will NOT match to 3rd party sellers on Amazon. Hope that makes sense!

    • Taya

      Awesome!

      • Taya

My target wouldnt price match =(

  11. Abigail

Thanks so much Collin! I was able to get one this morning.

  12. Lisa

$36.99 at my Target. The employees at my store follow store policy very closely, which I have no problem with. They would not price match to Amazon and let me use Cartwheel, but were very nice explaining why. Can’t complain getting 50% off though.

  13. J'nay

We got this playset as a gift last year. It’s really cute!

  14. Maria

They refused to use cartwheel and price match for their own website at my store. They said I could choose 1 and of course I went for the 50% off. I had a cart full of stuff and they were still strict with going through what they knew was the toy of the day. They also had to look up the price match themselves (even though I ended not being able to use it) because they said they can’t trust peoples iPhones/iPads.

    • Taya

Same thing happened ot me…ended up not getting it..nice to know im not the only one who tried to prive match too they were also very strict well the one cashier anyways…oh well wasnt something i wanted that bad

  15. Kari

I was able to get it for $13.25. I had a rather large transaction. Before we even started, I asked if they price matched to their own website. My cashier was very nice and said “of course”. He then lowered the price from $36.99 to $26.49. I had my phone up and ready to show as soon as I pulled up with my cart.

I then did my whole transaction with Cartwheel at the end. It ended up 50% off the $26.49. Obviously, YMMV but this is one way to go about it if you are shopping for other items as well.

  16. Lynndee

Sent hubby on his lunch break to pick this up since our 4 year old has talked non stop about this toy for weeks now and it was already out of stock 🙁 If anyone hears of any other good deals on this toy, please let me know! Thanks in advance.

  17. April

My target will not price match their online price n use cartwheel. Called online cus service got hung up on then when I finally got a hold of SJ robe they told me the same thing. Some deal. I save 6$ w/e

  18. Pinksapphire6

My daughter tried to do a “target.com” price match with the MH dolls that are on sale this week for Buy 2 get 1 Free. She was told by 2 different managers that it wasn’t allowed because it was “double dipping”! Since when can you not price match target.com when there is a regular sale going on in store? They said she could price match or get the Buy 2 Get 1 free but not both. Our store has always allowed this. So now we are very frustrated and confused. The deal is even online. So its not like its an “in store” only promotion. Wish they would just make up their minds on their policies.

    • Lisa

The store policies are clear it’s just that some managers and employees either don’t know the policies or choose to ignore them. That’s why it seems inconsistent. My Target follows the store policies very closely so I always know what to expect, but I know that’s not the case everywhere.

  19. Sue

The cartwheel deal hasn’t changed yet for today…

    • holly

Yeah thought it was just my cartwheel 🙁
