No, it’s sent to you.
I hate having to link my FB account just to get the coupon
Make a FB account just for couponing. That’s what I did and it always works great and it’s not linked to my other.
Good Idea Jess!
Like Jess, I keep a separate Facebook account for coupons and games. However, for this offer, I did not have to allow any app, or even like the page. There is a link that takes you to the form and that’s it.
I totally agree, Judy! In addition to what Jess, Ashley and Krista said: Make sure that you use a completely different computer and email address to create that particular Facebook account. Ensure also that you NEVER access that email AND Facebook account FROM any of your other associated computers!! So… the library is a great place to do this; or simply buy another computer dedicated to that use. Finally, if you do decide to dedicate a computer of your own to that effort, make sure it never hooks to the same local computer network as your other ones; otherwise only access your local network with that particular computer with a dedicated VPN/SSH server. It’s the only way to be sure.
Facebook, Google and Twitter store cookies and cache files that will ultimately link your identity. Even on a computer with Deep Freeze installed, IP addresses and MAC addresses are retained on Facebook, Google,Twitter, etc. company servers. This is the same way the coupons.com, etc. websites identify your computer(s) for the two-print limit.
Apologies for being long-winded. I am careful to not allow parties to know my mailing and other personal information. It takes a lot of hard work and constant awareness, but it’s doable.
It seems like it would be simpler just not to request samples or shop online period….
I find it funny how people think they can use the Internet but be anonymous or keep their information private. Thats BS. There are many other websites and companies that will use your information. If you use a smartphone and download apps, you automatically grant access to everything in your phone. Or you simply can have the bad luck to have shopped at one of the stores that was hacked and have all your info compromised. Besides how are you going to request samples/coupons without giving away your mailing address? Let me guess… you have a separate house whose address you only use for such things 🙂
Thanks!
Thanx Collin! 🙂
It is on their Facebook page…but I wasn’t logged into my facebook account when I accessed/filled out the form.
Got it
