Happy Friday: What to Buy w/ $100 Visa Card
Sent from reader, Amanda:
I wanted to share this and I hope it makes you smile.
I won a $100 Visa gift card from work a few weeks back. I plotted for hours how I was going to spend that money on myself. I was waiting for the right deal to come along and it was going to buy me a facial, massage, clothing, or a purse. Whatever caught my eye at that moment. It remained tucked away for that one killer deal, then I realized I don’t need any of that stuff. I’m so blessed and get everything I could ever want thanks to help from your hip deals.
I decided to take the gift card and buy 13 dozen roses instead. I handed out a rose to every resident of the nursing home where my Grandma lived before she passed away. She would always say bring me flowers while I’m living. I put a smile on many faces and it felt so rewarding. I had some roses left over so when I stopped to buy gas I placed one at the pump with a little note.
HAPPY FRIDAY! 😀

That’s so sweet! I know personally that in many nursing homes, the seniors sometimes feel like they are forgotten or unloved so having a stranger brighten their day can make such a huge difference!
A true act of Thanksgiving. What a lovely example. A tradition we can all get behind this holiday season.
What a beautiful soul you have!
That is such a Wonderful way to brighten people’s spirits…and So many out there need that! I Know that will live with them forever! I know I would have loved to see their faces…and what a great idea to leave the rest at gas pumps on a Friday no less?! 😇

Wow, tears are running down my cheeks. My mom always said the same thing…give me flowers while I’m alive so I can enjoy them. She didn’t want any after she passed, and we didn’t give her any then. I just hope we gave her enough when she was with us. Thanks so much for sharing and being such a beautiful person!
The world needs more people like you:)
I second that. Your act brought tears into my eyes and a big smile too. I feel blessed to read about it. Thanks a lot.

Beautiful and inspiring!
What an amazing person you are to do such a selfless act and bring so much joy to others.
I’m doing something along those for my uncle who just went through surgery and chemo for colon cancer. I’m buying him a ninja blender and sending it with a box full of fruit veggies, nuts etc to be able to make smoothies to help his body recover from all the stress it endured. I’m so excited about it because nobody is expecting it so it will be a true surprise.
I hope your uncle makes a speedy recovery! You’re very sweet and thoughtful for doing that for him.
That is awesome. I’m sure your grandma is very proud of you. You also made me tear up. We need more of “you” in this world. 💜💛💜💛
