Just an FYI- my daughter received the Laugh & Learn puppy as a gift last winter, and it is VERY sensitive to the touch. The slightest movement can change the song it’s playing, which upsets her. It even randomly goes off while sitting on top of her other stuffed animals in a basket. I highly recommend LeapFrog’s Violet or Scout instead, which are on Amazon and at Walmart for just under $15 right now. The LeapFrog ones also can be connected to your computer to personalize and pick songs, which this L&L puppy can’t do.
No joke about randomly going off with out touch…. “You’re my friend!” At 1 am… Yeah we no longer own this one lol.
LOL this cracked me up!
haha this toy always creeped out my SIL and all my friends that didn’t have kids.. heck it creeped me out half the time too! didn’t stop me from including it as a baby gift to everyone i knew, lol!!
LOL. I got the sis last year and stored it in my master bathroom before Christmas. I would hear things in the middle of the night and it took forever to figure it out. I wasn’t hearing voices, just this toy LOL
My son liked this toy and we’ve never had a problem with it going off by itself.
My kids have the Laugh & Learn puppy and LeapFrog’s Violet and both have gotten a lot of use in my house. I haven’t noticed the puppy being overly sensitive to touch. If I had to choose one though I’d pick Violet because it can be programmed to know your child’s name, favorite foods, favorite colors, etc. Both toys have been entertaining for my kids.
I went in today and got 4 of the laugh and learn laptops. They were priced 19.99 each but did a price match with target.com for 13.99 each. Total was $55.96. Used the coupon that was in the toy book of “Free $10 gift card when you spend $50 in the toy department”. Then used the cartwheel and it took 20% off making it 44.76. Then went to Vocalpoint.com and printed the coupons. I had to use two computers to print two in each. Which then brought it to $32.76. So if we deduct the $10 that I got from the gift card making it 22.76. Making each one be $5.69. A $57.20 savings from the $19.99 each. 🙂 I did a similar thing with the train. I priced matched it with walmart for $20.99 (got two) and bought 2 candy land games priced matched with Walmart for $4.77. Used another coupon of spend $50 get $10 gift card. Then used the cartwheel on the trains and used 2 $5 coupons from Vocalpoint and two $2 coupons for the candy land game. Making the trains $9.29 each and the games .27 cents each. 🙂
Bought it last week and forgot about the cartwheel, if I go back today with my receipt, will they honor it?
We received the puppy and I couldn’t stand it! It’s so annoying. My son never got into it either so it was donated to the thrift shop. I noticed there were several other puppies there too, lol.
Were there paper coupon someplace i need this as a gift
