I’m sponsoring 3 kids at an orphanage. I plan to buy each one a bicycle as a Christmas present, but I don’t have kids and don’t have any experience at all buying bicycles for them. There’s an 8 yrs old boy, a 6 yrs old boy and a 4yrs old girl. Can someone with experience in this recommend how high I should buy the 3 bicycles?
4 year old the 10 inch would work. It would be too small for the 6year old
I would say 12 or 14 for the 4 year old. My 5 year old rides a 14″, and she is in the 3rd percentile for her height. Not sure on the 6 and 8 – maybe 14 or 16 for the 6, again depending on height?
Louisa- I have a 8 yr old son and he rides a 20″ bike. The seat is all the way down. So, plenty of room for growth. HTH
Unless the child is small, this would probably be too small or soon be too small for the 4 yr old.
I just moved my 3.5 year old to a 12″ bike. The 10″ was too small already!!
