  Lin, yes you will get the sale price if you purchase just 1. Splitting up is the best way to go to take advantage of the CVS coupons! All deals track, once you hit the spend amount (or quantity needed), the ECB will print on your receipt.

  Can you not you two of the cvs q’s since you are buying 2 pkgs ( numbers are different on the bar codes) in the same transaction? It says limit one but I thought the limit one was for getting the 5 ecb backs

  The coupons that print (not the ones shown in the weekly ad), those are based on your past (and possibly future) shopping habits. If you buy oral care, chances are you will get a coupon for those items frequently. There is no rhyme or reason as to what prints. Sometimes I get random offers (like I got a $2 off Total Home Laundry Detergent a few wks ago), I have never purchased that laundry detergent. But I have purchased other Total Home products, so that is why I probably got the $2 offer.

   I have free 12 pack coke coupons from December when mycokerewards was giving them for a low point cost. If I buy 4 twelve packs but use 4 coupons (essentially spending $0 oop) will it still generate the $5 ECB?

  I had the 12 pack Coke coupons from my coke rewards but used them at Walmart. Walmart always has the Coke for $4.48. Get the savings catcher app and get back the difference between that price and the lowest around your town. Mine was at CVS that week for $2.50 so I profited $1.98 per 12 Pack. My wife and I were both able to get 8 coupons each so we got 16 12packs of Coke plus close to $32 back from the Walmart savings catcher. Much better money maker.

  Side note! Savings catcher is fixing to stop as matching drug stores and produce and bakery products, apparently this has been more successful than they thought now they are taking it back..

  Like they ended the price match for Publix grocery store BOGO items in FL. Short-lived. Walmart doesn’t seem to “catch” on that a lot of people choose other stores than their stores.

  Yes, but don’t give them all of your 4 coupons but see how much it takes off. One time it took off the maximum amount which produced overage so I didn’t need to use a coupon for each one.

  You are so right! I gave her all 4 but she only ended up taking 3 because she put it in as 4.99 each and since they are on sale for 3.75 the overage paid for the fourth one! So four 12 packs for free plus $5 ECB AND one of my coupons back for the next coke sale. Awesome!!! Thanks!!

  The CVS machine has been acting crazy in Temecula Ca. If you scan your card until it calls you a super scanner it has been giving me two copies of each coupon.

  Yeah, here too the machine goes wacky from time to time. BUT, you have to compare the #’s on the coupons. If they are the same, it’s a duplicate and just alert the cashier so they can reset the machine. If they are different, then you are lucky!

  The only coupons I received for like 6 months were the XX% online only purchases. I never shop at CVS online. I got a new card with a new email and so far have gotten 2 $4 off $20 and one 20% off. So much better than those online coupons. So yeah, get a new card and you’ll get coupons again .

    Does anyone remember how CVS rings up the BOGO? DO they divide up the price between the 2 items, or do they ring up 1 as $2 and the second as $0? I’d like to buy 3 Chips Ahoy, instead of 2 because my local coupon reads $1/3 (vs $.75/2) Would I still get all 3 cookies for $1/each?

  It will register that you’ve bought 3, and then it will zero out the amount of one of them. However, since buying a 4th one will also be free, might as well buy 4! I think the $1/3 should still work.

  Coupons & values are Regional. Not every paper gets the same offers. I got 2 different papers that wk, and only 1 had the BOGO Revlon, and it was in the middle of the SS.

    Just ran in to cvs to pick up a script and remembered about the Jergans deal that ends tonight so I picked up (2) 2oz tubes and asked the cashier if she thought they were included in the ad that showed $5 back when u purchase 2 and she said yes. They were $2.99 ea and I paid with ecbs so got them free 🙂 She had to force the $5 ecb. Then I remembered to check the 6oz tube and sure enough it was on clearance for like $2.67. So I returned one of the 2oz ones and bought the 6pz one. Score!!

  I also bought 2 of the Jergens 6 oz lotions on clearance for $2.67 and got the $5 ECB. I also had the $3 off 2 coupon. I didn’t think I would get the $5 ECB since the lotion was on clearance but I did. Anyhow, when I went to redeem the $5 ECB the next day the cashier said the $5 ECB wasn’t valid and that it had already been redeemed. I was confused. I politely her that I’ve never used it before. The cashier ended up accepting the ECB but wasn’t nice to me. Has this happened to anyone else…where the $5 ecb wouldn’t go through when redeemed?

  Happened a couple times to me, once with a CVS coupon, once with an ECB. I had the free CVS bodywash coupon and when I checked out, it beeped. The cashier said it was because the max value on the Q was $2.49 and the bodywash itself was $2.47. This store is full of dunderheads and I didn’t feel like arguing it so I left. When I tried to use it elsewhere, it came up as used. I even called corporate, and they didn’t know why that happened since the transaction wasn’t completed, and they couldn’t even find “record” of that coupon in my account (and they offered me $3 ECBs for my trouble, which I realize I never got). Another time, my order ended up being less than what I calculated and the cashier scanned an ECB I didn’t need to use. He gave it back and the next time I tried to use it, it came up as redeemed. Strangely enough, the cashier (same store, different cashier) had no problem accepting it; he even asked if that was what had happened, as if it happens a lot!

    Deal Scenario:
    Buy 5 Always Discreet bladder protection pads 12-20 ct. or liners 44-48 ct. $3.99
    Total = $19.95 (Should trigger Ecb)

    I really need to stock up some liners/pads. But I am a little worried : will $19.95 really generate $5 Ecb? Ladies, please share your experience! Thanks!

  It should since it’s not a tiered deal like spend 20 get 5$, spend 30 get 10$. The 98% rule should work, meaning if u atlesast spend 19.60 your 5$ should print.

  CVS is the only store that allows you to be a few cents off for ecb deals. It’s an unknown “98% rule”. It only works on stand alone deals (vs tiered deals that are 2 offers for the same products, like Spend $10 on candy get $3 ECB OR Spend $20, get
  $5 ECB, then you have to hit the about exactly.) But they haven’t had tiered deals in a long time. So for any spend deals 98% is enough to trigger the ECB. Cheat Sheet I keep in my binder :
  $30 = $29.40
  $25 = $24.50
  $20 = $19.60
  $15 = $14.70
  $12 = $11.76
  $10 = $9.80

  Here in Phoenix, AZ I went to 2 different stores to find the discreet liners but they were marked $3.99 each and I bought 4 used my coupons, the ecb did not trigger and was told I had to have $20 min! I went back bought another with coupon and received my $5 ecb.
  My mom had the same problem(price & ecb) with the store in Flagstaff, AZ.

  If you bought 4 at $3.99, that’s only $15.96. The deal was to spend $20, so you were well short. Buying the 5th brought you to $19.95 and your ECB printed within the 98% rule 😉

  The $2/10 says something like cannot be combined with any other CVS coupon. And any $/$$ offer says limit one purchase based coupon per transaction.
  This is a YMMV, but my local store will allow the use of both in the same transaction only if I meet the requirements of each coupon, so I’d need $30 in baby products, $10 of it in Huggies. If you don’t meet the requirements, the register will kick out one of the coupons.

    As long as you hit 98% of a deal total, you should generate your ECB. The only exception is if there is a “tiered” deal. For example: Spend 20, get $5 OR Spend 30, Get $10. In the tiered deal scenario, you ACTUALLY have to hit the full $30 total in order to get the full $10. Haven’t seen this in awhile. Otherwise 98% is good enough. If not, just speak to your cashier. Mine has always printed my ECB by hand if it isn’t working properly.

  I believe it is regional. Something I ran into recently that totally surprised me….someone gave me a few inserts left unused at a hotel. There was about 10 inserts. Two of them were different inside and included the Got2b coupon but the rest were different inserts. All from the same newspaper.

    The limit on the cokes it’s 2 do separate transsacions but 4/15 get 5 bucks ! I had got 4/15 revlon CRT and 5/15 cosmetic CRT did the revlon and loreal great deals ! Some nexxus clearance working for bucks too!!

    That Loreal True Match Blendable Concealer Crayon that Collin posted above- I did just one transaction with that. I got 2 Concealer Crayons then used $5 off $15 emailed to me plus the $5 off $15 CVS Cosmetics coupon printing at the machine, plus two of the $3 off Loreal coupons she referenced. I paid a whopping $1.10 for it all and got $5 ECB back for purchasing $15 of Loreal Makeup…… Great Deal!!!!!

    Heads up! I just did the Panteen deal, but at my store they are only gives 1EB with the purchase of 2 products (as Collin posted above) not sure if this is regional or just a typo. The deal was not printed in my flyer, just posted on the shelf 2/$8 + 1EB web 2. I still bought the mousse, it was still a pretty good deal for Panteen mousse.

    In the Valentine’s clearance section I found full size bags of Jolly Ranchers marked down 50% off! They weren’t in V-day packaging, but they were in the clearance section and sure enough, rang up 1/2 price ($1.89)! Woo Hoo! My kids love these, perfect for Easter baskets. 🙂

    I got $4 off $12 revlon purchase and $5 off $15 cosmetic purchase- they let me combine along w the freebie revlon mq! Got mascara and eyeliner for $0.89! Only pd tax and got my $4 ecb!
    T2- got colgate toothpaste and 2 rolls of tp= free and gotback $2! T3- got 2 b
    Hair spray- $4.99- $2.50mq= $0.89 total get back $2! T4- campbells chinky soup and arizona= $0.19!
    Pd less than $2 for all! Awesome!!!!!!

    Am I the only one who had trouble with the Revlon deal and the 5/15? My cashier was so rude and said I could only use one. She didn’t even attempt to scan the CVS coupon. I emailed about it because I really think she was just being difficult. Not to mention the policy clearly states one manufacturers coupon and one cvs coupon. UGH!

  I had trouble too with using the $5/15 cosmetic coupon with the Revlon BOGO deal. I bought one Revlon eyeliner and one mascara, approx. $17.87, then gave the $5/15 coupon, then the BOGO MQ. Then my subtotal was $2.99 and I tried to use a $3 ECB to pay and the register kicked out the $5/15 coupon. I don’t know why. The cashier did an override but it was weird.

  Your subtotal can no longer be less than the ECB you are trying to use. 99% of the time, the register will kick one or several store coupons out. Very rarely, has the register auto-deducted a coupon to give me a 0 balance, without needing cashier interference.

    The revlon deal it’s 70 dlrs / limit 6 times you should be able to use the bogo cupon plus CRT if the amount it’s 15 dlrs ! I got CRT 4/15 revlon and CRT 5/15 cosmetics so I was able to do loreal and revlon ! Then someone posted about the jolly ranchers being 1.89 so, I stop after work scanned my cvs card and got another CRT for Scott and the 5/15 CRT cosmetic again weird!! Last week I got double CRT for soft soap and speed stick deodorant cupon and 2/8 body wash with different expiration dates

    Thank you puchi and mm I did see this sets of pop-arazzi nail polish at the very bottom of shelf didn’t even scanned them / is nail polish considered cosmetics ?? Mel ??? Would love to get some of this sets for my Easter baskets for the special children ( for their guardians or the children )

    Can anyone confirm if there is a limit on the $5ECB with $15 spent? I used Christmas MCR coupons to get 4 12 packs for free today and got my ECB. A display in the drink section said limit of four 12 packs but the bottom of the receipt did not say limit reached like it normally does when you max out on a CVS deal. I still have more free coupons that I will use this week if I can generate another set of ECB on a second visit.
