I received a free $25 gift card with the start of an online registry in the mail a couple weeks ago! It was perfect timing since we were moving into a new place!

Random question. What if no one buys gifts from your registry?

    • cb

For this promo there’s nothing stating they have to.

  4. Lila

I can always get married again. Thanks! 😉

  5. Tristan

I have to say that I disagree with people creating this registry for the giftcard who aren’t actually getting married.

    • Brooke

Agreed! Good old American greed at it’s finest.

    • Ashley

Agreed. It’s really turned me off. It’s fraud, plain and simple, and people should be ashamed of themselves. Sadly, they will find someway to “justify” their dishonesty.

      • Renee

This is as bad as the people who printed a ton of the Right at Home Ziploc coupons and wiped out Target. One woman posted a picture of the 90 boxes she got.

        • CB

90????? I love being a couponer & saving money. However I can not watch those extreme coupon shows with out becoming furious, because of people like that. I will stockpile up to about 5 things with coupons on the giftcard deals etc. I will only do that with things we use up quickly. Then I will not buy that item again for months until it’s gone or almost gone. I will never understand the way people stock pile things to the point where they will probably never use them up. If some one gets that many, I just hope they use them for large groups or donate, instead of letting them collect dust in their garage or basement.

          • Kim

I agree! I just recently saw someone trying to sell their coupon “stockpile” cheaper than what people can buy it in store and it annoyed me. Especially when they can donate them to people who actually need and cannot afford those things. It’s super upsetting.

    • Valerie L

I would have to agree. 🙁

    • Hope

It would probably be more useful to express your concerns to Target directly. Complaining on Hip2Save does absolutely no good.

      • meg

Agree ….y would Target allow one person to get that many???

        • Erin

Because they want to sell them?

          • meg

Wow…u need to start your own blog. You are obviously so intelligent.

Getting married 7/11 and was just thinking about our registry. Target was going to be one of our stores. Thanks so much!

  7. Lori

My son is getting married in December and I told them about this. Do you have to register online because he would rather go into the store and do it? I wonder if that would count if they do it this week?

    • Lauren

Hey! I work at Target, so I can tell you that if you created the registry in store, you still would qualify for the giftcard (if you sign up as one of the first 22,500 people). Hope this helps!

      • Lori

        Thanks for the info!

  8. Heather

Thanks! I will be passing this info along, my friend is getting married in August.
