Check out this feedback from Hip2Save reader and Inbox Dollars member, Kevin…

There are quite a few ways to earn money with Inbox Dollars. They email you several emails a day – some are short emails to simply just read (each worth $0.02) while others are actual surveys (worth anywhere from $0.25- $2). Just like any other survey site, you will not qualify for all the surveys and the nice thing about Inbox Dollars is that you get a free spin at their wheel regardless if you qualified for the survey or not. Wheel prizes are usually an extra $0.25 on your next survey, instant $0.05- $1 added to your account, or extra sweepstakes entries. Generally, the longer the survey, the more $$ you will get. For cash out options, you can either pick a debit card (they will mail it to you the first time, then you re-use the same card) or you can request a check. It definitely won’t make you rich, but it does help one get some extra money for gifts, extra money for yourself, or you can do what I’m planning on doing which is saving this money for a little extra Christmas gift shopping.[/h2s_box]

Yay Collin used my feedback! Hope my feedback is helpful for those wanting to try inbox dollars. A little update, I cashed out $41 in exactly a month so it’s actually not too bad. 99% of the emails they send you to read ($0.02 each) takes no more than 1 minute so it’s really easy. based on my experience so far, you WONT get penalized (ie getting less survey opportunities) for not taking all the surveys available to you.
Hope this helps. I’ll appreciate it if you use my link. Thanks!

You may be one of the lucky ones because there are a LOT of complaints filed against this company. They offer surveys that pay $.25 but could take up to an hour to complete. I suppose if someone has nothing better to do, it’s okay. But a person could make a lot more money collecting cans and bottles.

      • Kevin

I personally never take surveys that offer $0.25 haha. Unless it’s $0.25 for 5 mins or less. My guideline is $0.50/10 mins or better.

        • Kevin

i also have to note that i never had a survey offered to me that was 0.25 for an hour.

They also link up with coupons.com and offer 10 cents for every coupon you redeem that you printed from their website. It takes a while to hit your account (6 weeks or so) but if you are using coupons from coupons.com anyways its a nice way to build up your account. I hardly ever qualify for surveys but just reading the emails and using the coupons earns me a decent amount of money.

    • Mamaof3

I noticed that when I signed up. Will be printing some coupons soon.

Do you file taxes on this at the end of the year? Sorry I’m new to all this

Hi Misty! My name is Laura, and I work at InboxDollars. While surveys can be difficult to qualify for at times, we do have a 24/7 online help line to answer questions and resolve any problems that you might have. This includes issues with crediting and payments.

You should mention and make it clear that one has to earn a minimum amount and leave a few dollars on the account in order to cash out.

    • Ann

I could be wrong, but if it is under $600 you do not need to…..

    • sussieqt

You’ll never make enough to need file taxes.

I looked up some reviews and saw some big issues with how hard it can be to qualify for a survey, online issues filling out the surveys and receiving the payments. Just something to think about.

It takes a long time in my experience with this site to accumulate enough to cash out. It took me almost a year to reach the $30 cash out level. I hardly ever qualified for surveys and I don’t sign up for marketing offers. I prefer other survey sites for sure. I will keep doing the click thru on the .02 emails, but as far as surveys go they are notoriously low paying for the amount of time invested.

      • Annie

        This was my experience, too.

      • Winnie

        Not worth the trouble

      • Amy

Hi Michelle! What are your favorite survey sites? Thanks in advance!

      Used it!

one heck of a lot of work for nothing. I spent 2 1.2 hours one day…tried to keep positive attitude. I qualified for two surveys. Made $1. That night my malware program came back with bad spyware and malicious items. 🙁

  7. Susan

I’ve been a member for about 6 years now.

I don’t do surveys, just the emails and coupons, and I cash out about $50 a year. I make the request the first week in December and have a little extra cash for the last few Christmas items. Not bad since I’d be printing the coupons anyway.
