With wedding and graduation season upon us, I’ve received a few emails from readers lately asking for nice wedding or graduation gift ideas that won’t break the bank. Plus, check out this tip from Hip2Save reader Tiffany –

I’m not sure if you or your readers are aware of a side called weddingwire.com. It’s a site where people can find vendors, photographers, ect. for weddings and events. They have a review promotion I wasn’t even aware of. I was contacted by the owner of an awesome bed and breakfast in Marion, SC where I attended my cousin’s wedding last year and asked if I would mind reviewing them because they are new to weddingwire.com.

I didn’t mind at all and after that review a pop up box came up that stated if I did one more review I would receive a free gift and if I did 4 reviews I would receive another free gift. So, after 4 reviews the two gifts were a code for a FREE 8×10 canvas print from EasyCanvasPrints.com (over $40 value!) and a one time use code for a Free 8×8 photo book from Shutterfly.com! I was soooo excited. It turns out the code for the canvas print can be used by anyone and it expires 5/31/15 (2014wirespringpromo) and the one time use code from Shutterfly doesn’t expire until 9/30/15. [/h2s_box]

As a senior citizen, I always just send a check. Why? It seems today’s brides don’t believe in writing “thank you” notes. When I send a check, I know the couple has indeed received my gift.

For a baby shower gift I try to include a gift card to a restaurant that delivers for the parents along with what I give for the baby. I know having a baby is exhausting so making a phone call for a meal is simple & very little work. 🙂

Origami Owl Custom Jewelry is great for the shower gifts and bridesmaids gifts. It’s something that they can keep forever and change as often as they’d like 🙂 https://amandaboyd911.origamiowl.com/

Hi Nicky! I’m so sorry, I just saw your message. I see that you placed an order already and received the FREE GIFT, how amazing is that?!?! Sorry, the only way to receive free shipping is if you host a qualified Jewelry Bar (party). With a qualified party the hostess receives free shipping. I know that we’re not in the same area but if that’s something that interests you, I do facebook/online Jewelry Bars are are really successful! For baby shower gifts. Huggies diapers, wipes, bottles, and clothes in sizes 6 month, 12 month, and 18 month. I buy at Target and Dollar General on clearance all year long. Then I have baby gifts and Birthday gifts for the parties all year.

Grads love iTunes cards and gas cards.

Some of the really nice canvases that’re posted here make nice wedding gifts using the couples’ engagement photos (Also great for a family photo for mother’s day!)

Also, a month of Blue Apron, fresh ingredients for custom healthy meal delivered to your door, for a new mom/family baby gift is not the typical diapers-and-onsie gift, creative, always appreciated, and keeps giving ( : (a bit pricey, but fresh ingredients for meals you select are delivered to your door and end up being less than $10/person/meal..cheaper than take out! Also they often run great promotions if you keep an eye out)
