Mark your calendars!

In celebration of Cow Appreciation Day on July 14th, Chick-fil-A will award a FREE combo meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) to any customer who comes to one of the chain’s 1,800+ restaurants fully dressed from head to hoof as a cow. Also, Chick-fil-A will award a FREE entree to customers partially dressed in cow attire, such as a cow-spotted scarf, purse, hat or other accessory. Decision of what qualifies as fully-dressed versus partially-dressed is at the discretion of the restaurant Operator.

The gang all dressed up in 2011 on the Hip2Help Tour πŸ˜€

Need some inspiration for a cow costume? Check out these ideas from Chick-fil-A…

* Start with items that you already have at home – cow- printed accessories stashed in your closet will work perfectly. Hats, vests, scarves, neckties, pants, shoes, pajamas – just abut any cow-spotted item will work. Just make sure you’re covered head to toe!

* Wear white, and then just add spots. Throw on a white T-shirt with white pants (even sweatpants) and stick on your spots using black contact paper. If contact paper is not easily accessible, you can cut spots out of construction paper and tape them to your shirt and pants. If nothing else, you can grab an old white T-shirt and color black spots all over it with a magic marker.

* Go to your local paint or hardware store and get a white painter’s hat and overalls. And then decorate yourself with spots made out of contact or construction paper.

Good reason not to eat there, besides the place is owned by a nut case!

    • Sandy

Relax- keep your negative comments to yourself

      • Sarah

Negative or not the post was correct. Free is not always a good thing.

    • Ann

I love chik-fil-a’s food and customer service. I’m sorry if you had a bad experience.

    • Kasiebb

So is walmart, but I bet you shop there.

      • B

DO NOT but I’m sure you do

        • Kasiebb

Nope I’m a target shopper. Isn’t a walmart in my area. The point lots of owners are crazy BJ.

    • Madison

Free items are a reason not to eat there?! Yeah, that makes sense…ha!

    • HBK

As our many B. No one needs to read your negative nonsense. Collin works hard for us all.

      • Sandi

Shall we all hold hands and sig kum by ahh Quit bu** kissing.

        • HBK

I got something you can kiss, Sandi

      • Henry

@HBK I can assure that this website owner gets paid well for supporting a product,
        a few free chik-fil-a I suspect.

        • HBK

@Henry unless you can prove it, I would not state such a thing. Irrelevant if she does or not. Don’t like the offer, don’t eat there.

    • MeShell

I agree. They called the owner a bigot for his beliefs. But by doing so, they became that themselves
Bigots: a person who is intolerant to those holding different beliefs.! This country has turned into a “believe what I believe” or you’re wrong. Get out of here with that mess! This is a saving ($) site…try to save political souls somewhere else!

      • 5pink1blue

        Well said!

  2. Krissy

Hooray! Was just thinking about this the other day. Love Chick-fil-a. Great food, amazing service and all around great company! Can’t wait, thanks.

  3. Ashley

I have to confess, I always click the Chick-fil-a deals just to read the comments….

    • Dawn

I’m with you Ashley…Get the popcorn ready. πŸ˜•

    • Dani

I do as well. When the liberals have nothing else to whine about they come here or stand in line for something free.

      • SB

So true!! I’m with ya. Let the liberals whine…..That’s all they do anyway!

    • Kasiebb

      Lol good one

  4. Laura

Can’t wait! Got our first CFA this spring. So fun!

  5. Edy

Our CFA has free breakfast every Wednesday ! Can’t seem to get there ! Love their chicken sandwich ! Quick service, glad someone has the time to go and get dress as the mascot! Enjoy life! Life is too short !! 😍😍😍😍

  6. Tami

Adults adults actually dress up like cows for a free meal?
I guess I’m not surprised! LOL

  7. Tami

Cow outfit matches the people that eat fast food.

    • Brooke

Seriously?!! We’re not on the playground!

      • Jo

        Apparently we must be

      • Dana

Dumb comment, but I really think America needs to start eating healthier. Obesity is becoming a huge widespread issue. Health at every size makes no sense..

    • Jess

Really?! So, only overweight people eat fast food?

Y’know, I really like CFA’s chicken sandwich. I get it with extra pickles and a water every now and again. Oh, and I’m 120lbs, and I’m not 4’8″.

Please, please tell me that you only eat organic free range chicken breast and organic steamed vegetables.

      • SB

Lol…yeah me too! I’m 114 lbs and the mother of two and I definitely enjoy chick-fil-a spicy chicken sandwich when I can. No not all that eat fast food are over-weight!!! 😁

  8. Kathy

Can’t support the Chick ever since its owner came out so virulently anti-gay two years ago during the marriage debate. He also was quoted three months ago spouting the same hate–although he’s trying to distance his company from it right now to save profits. Don’t go there, please.

    • Dana

I don’t agree with what they said but I still go there. I boycott other companies who support the Israeli occupation and terror in Palestine. I don’t like to tell others where to purchase things and who to boycott. I agree, we all do need to stand up against wrong things.. maybe I will stop going to Chick-Fil-A too. Thanks Kathy

    • Danny

So now we dislike people for having an opinion. It’s ok for you to be pro gay and for him to be anti gay? Are we not all free?

      • Ashley

I always feel like it’s so silly to see all these comments on the Chick-fil-a deals while Collin posts bacon coupons (what about vegans?), formula deals (what about breast feeders?) and bicycle deals (what about those who only have 1 leg?). Come on people, we are allowed different opinions and allowed to be individuals. If Collin catered to us all, she wouldn’t be able to post a single thing.

      • Brianna

Your comment is idiotic. We are free to choose not to eat there following your logic. Do you own CFA stock. The difference between pro gay as you put it and anti gay is hate. What if I was anti black, is that OK with you too? You right wing nuts are so stuck in your script you can’t even think.

        • MeShell

          Bri.. You’re ridiculous!
(And that’s all I have to say!)

        • Johanna

Anti- the gay agenda does not equal hate for the person. We do not support their lifestyle.

    • Faith

Actually, saying that u believe in traditional marriage is not “spouting hateful things”. Is it being hateful that gays are against traditional marriage?? It goes both ways people…we DO have freedom to believe the way we want to..personally, I think it’s great that someone had the courage to stand up for what they believe was right!

      • Shel

Very well said, Faith; thank you! And thank you, Collin, for posting. We love Chick-fil-A and enjoy this each year πŸ™‚

  9. Sandra

    Best customer service ever!

  10. Yessi

Thank you so much for the early reminder! I love their food and the service is amazing. Plus throughout the year they have really cool activities for the kiddo, 3 weeks ago it was super hero day. They had a bouncy house, fire truck, ambulance, cop car and military. They’ve had dad n daughter day with horse carriage and all. Absolutely LOVE this company and positive atmosphere they bring to the community.

    • Sherry

You’re kidding with positive image statement. Do you know this southern companies history?

    • Jen

I agree. I love the extra mile they go to make it a nice experience. I find it amusing the people accusing the company of being “hateful” are the only people making hateful comments, going as far as picking on the weight of random people. Really ?!?

      • samuel

Is this Jen or Jes or ???

        • Jen

Huh? What is the point of this comment?

          • bev

I believe they were saying based on the posts that you change your alias frequently.

  11. ami

Cow costumes are good for halloween or really fat people

    • Nelly

Size shouldn’t matter. We all at different shapes and sizes some hereditary some not. The purpose of the event is family fun and the free food is a bonus.

      • Bonnie

        LOL

  12. Lynd

Can the cow-dressed kids order from the regular menu and not the kid’s menu during this event? TIA

    • Johanna

Yes, they can order from the regular menu at our location!

  13. Bernadett

We ate there last year. Ther eis one walking distance.. ik like 20 min walking.. from our house. And we all got free stuff. Was great.

    • Krissy

Last year they let my kids order regular meals. So ymmv but ours did. The kids meals came with a free shake last year too.

      • Krissy

Sorry that was for the previous post

  14. lae

I also love that they are closed on Sundays! I love their ethics and I will continue to patronize them! Their customer service is awesome and their food is awesome too! At my CFA, they have kids programs every Wednesday and usually do craft/or other fun activity for the kids. They are very generous!

    • Faith

      Yes, I love that too!!

      • visitor3

Me too. I wonder… it probably helps their bottom line (or at least doesn’t hurt it) because customers may feel some urgency to get to CFA on Saturdays, whereas for any other fast food, there is no cutoff, so no rush to get-r-done, so customers can procrastinate and may never end up going.

    • Carrie

I often find that we would like to eat there on Sundays, but I love that they give their employees that day off! We have two that are close to our home and they are both equally generous, with their programs for kids on Wednesday to free breakfast every now and then. My son got a free kid meal coupon for good grades at school, and a free sandwich coupon for a community service activity.

  15. Carrie

They must be doing something right! They are one of the only fast food places I can think of that do not have a value meal, and are closed one day a week, but are very successful. I love that they give their employees Sundays off. They support the community greatly, by giving free meals through good grades at school, VBS, community events, etc. I am proud of the owner for speaking his mind, his values are similar to mine. If they were not, I would not continue to patronize his restaurant. If you don’t agree with him, do not support his restaurants, but please do not leave negative comments on this wonderful website!

    • Dana

      I agree!

    • Mel

      Well said! πŸ™‚

  16. Amber

If you go the Tuesday before at my ChickFilA, the kids can decorate a shirt for free. They also give them signs and hats.

    • Carrie

Oh that’s right! My store does that too!

    • visitor3

Great tip! My daughter would enjoy.

  17. meg

Holy cow! What is wrong with some of you? Calling people fat…telling someone to kiss your butt…anti this anti that. For a minute I thought I was back in high school. Thanks for the post collin.

    • Lindsay

Seriously, I am disgusted right now. I am so glad we live in a country that gives us freedom of speech but, can’t we all be kind. What is this world coming to? I could never imagine my children spouting off what some adults just said. Makes me sad!! Ridiculous!!

      • MeShell

        Agree

Thanks for the heads up Collin!

i personally believe any 2 people should have the rights and protection that marriage provides. If you believe some people should not have the same rights as others go ahead and support this company. If you believe everyone should have equal rights and protections then think about what you would like to do to help everyone get these rights. This company has given money to groups that are working hard to keep people from getting equal rights. Marriage is a legal contract that gives benefits to the 2 people involved. Why should anyone be denied the right to enter such a contract? [Personally I think they should just abandon the term marriage for the legal contract, Use a different term for the legal contract for EVERYONE.]

    • visitor3

The Supreme Court should be issuing a decision shortly on this matter.

  20. Mia

I don’t eat at CFA because they insist on using peanut oils and this can send my daughter to the hospital as she has an allergy. We all have reasons why we do/don’t support businesses but can be respectful πŸ‘ yes, Collin gets compensated for a lot of these posts/traffic to her website/every time you click on a link. Again, not sure why this is a bad thing? You can choose not to support H2S…

Chick fil a is not anti gay. They have genuinely held Christian beliefs. They are entitled to express these beliefs based on their constitutional right to Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion. It’s not about hate. It’s about upholding traditional marriage which has been around for thousands of years. Also their chicken sandwiches and customer service is awesome!

    • Cammie

      Very well said Sarah.

    • Johanna

      Very well put, Sarah!

  24. Mia

The CFA calendar says dress like a cow day is July 10.

    • kay

On Chick fil a website it says July 14, Tuesday time to Celebrate (Cow Appreciation Day) Also has costume ideas, and printouts to use. I had so much doing this with my grandson 2 years ago. Lots of fun with moms and kids and whole families!

  28. Edy

I went to get some breakfast this morning for my girls. And after paying and getting the food , the cashier said, I put some extra food in your bag ! Apparently, there is some days that CFA give food free! So, I open the bag, and got 2 breakfast sandwiches, 1 8pc nuggets, and 2 extra spicy chicken sandwiches, so, I called my friend who is short on $ to come get the extra food . Thank you Collin and everyone

  29. Lorena Welker

Just wanted coupons. I love your food.
