I own one and absolutely love it! The pods are kind of pricey unless you find a store coupon to use on them like 20% off bed bath and beyond.. they cost about $15 for 18 and I must say, best coffee I’ve had in a long time. I always drank cappuccinos back home in Spain and they taste just like it. Highly recommend it 🙂

I have this and I love it! I purchased it when I was about 30 wk pregnant with my twins (figured I won’t be able to do as many Starbucks run. lol) and I must say I thought their decaf taste really good:) There are only Lavazza brand but for me, totally worth it as I love their coffee. I bought mine for about $200 from Kohl’s back in Jan. Great Price!

How easy is the milk frother to clean?

    • Laura

Very easy to clean, hand wash

    • Turbosmommy

It’s super, easy to clean. You can also just brew without it and add some whip cream and chocolate syrup or just add a shot of espresso to a cup of coffee. I was glad to see I could also use it without frothing milk.

i really wanted this when it first came out, but you can only use the RIVO coffee pods, so I decided against it… has the price of those gone down any?

    • Amanda

The keurig website runs specials frequently on the Rivo pods. And there are also 18 in a box. I can usually get them for between $.50-.75 per pod which is much cheaper than starbucks! 🙂

    • Turbosmommy

The regular price is around $14.99 for an 18 pack. The current Best Buy price for Lavazza Intenso Espresso Cups 18 pack at $7.99 is a steal. I’ve never seen them that low anywhere. Maybe, eventually all of them will come down in price.

I purchased this a month ago when Colin posted 70% with the Today Show. I was not sure if I would like it, but I really love it! I make cappuccinos every morning. It is so easy to make and clean up is simple. Also, today I called to register my machine with Keuring and in my email confirmation I received a coupon code to buy 2 Rivo pod boxes and get 2 free! So, now I will be getting 72 pods for $26 and free shipping. So, don’t forget to register your new machine 🙂

    • Shopper

By registering a regular Keurig, you’ll get the same buy 2 get 2 code : )

  8. Amanda

    Love this machine!!!

  9. Jen

This machine is the best thing EVER. If you dont have one, you need one!

  10. Yay

Does it take normal k cups

    • Turbosmommy

No, it only uses Rivo cups. There are 4 types with one being decaf.

  11. DWC

Can you use reusable coffee filter?

  12. Vanessa

The Best Buy price is now at $199

I hosted a HouseParty for this machine! I love it!! I have cut back my Starbucks runs quite a bit. I have figured out how to make Iced Caramel Machiettos (my favorite). I think they taste very similar to the ones you can buy at Starbucks. I am very satisfied with my Rivo. The only negative thing I would point out is that you can’t make a regular cup of coffee. So you would still need a coffee pot or other “coffee” machine if you have family who just wants a plain cup of joe.

Would you be willing to share your recipe?

      • Kay

Sure, I get the Vanilla bottles from Starbucks. (Be sure to ask for the pump too. Some Starbucks will give it to you.) I also get the Smuckers Carmel sauce near the ice cream section at the grocery store. I will drizzle Carmel all over the inside of my cup. Be sure to pump 4 pumps of vanilla in the cup. Put your cup in the Rivo and brew the larger sized espresso. When that is done, poor cold milk almost to the top. Then add ice. I will take a couple of sips with a straw and then add more ice. If you Google “Starbucks recipes for home” there will be many copy cat recipes. 🙂 hope that helps! That is how I found this recipe that I like!

    Deals over

I was spending close to $100/month on espressos or lattes prior to buying this machine. Horrible I know! Since buying it, I have not purchased one latte or macchiato from a coffee shop. My only regret I wish I would have bought it sooner. I buy my flavoring syrups at tj maxx or Sam’s club. At Sam’s Club in tn they are $4.50 and tj maxx is hit or miss, but I just found a salted caramel syrup there for $5.99 which usually retailed for $14.

  16. Coley

Walmart is still having their sale. I picked up my unit today from Best Buy. I made my first latte in it. Instead of regular milk I used Coconut Almond milk! Its amazing! No extra syrups add.

    Price Already back up?!

I ordered one yesterday. I am super duper excited!
