I bought a fire stick on sale on Prime Day and I’ve been very happy with it. The Fire TV stick remote app for iPhone is great. You can use voice search and it has a keyboard, and it’s free – no need to buy the fancy remote from Amazon. 🙂

Does anyone use this? Trying to decide between this and the Fire Tv Box.
We love it. We bought it on Prime day also. We got it mainly for Netflix but the kids love playing the games on it too.
I have a fire stick and an Apple TV, and besides mirroring, the only thing better about the Apple TV is the Hulu app. Fire stick’s Hulu app kept freezing up on me. I guess that is a Hulu issue though, because Netflix works fine. I don’t know anything about the fire box, other than it seems comparable to Apple TV.
I have the box and really like it. No issues except a couple times when my internet was down it wouldn’t work, but I can’t blame that on the box.
I have 3 buying 4 th today . We had rOKU avd returned it. Love love the fire stick !!!
I also bought this on prime day and love it! It’s so convenient, easy to take from TV to TV and on the go!
I like this as well, but ours does freeze fairly often.
LOVE my Amazon Fire stick. I bought one on Prime Day and have been happy ever since. It does freeze from time to time and I have always wondered why there is no ‘off’ option to give the stick a break…but it is sooo easy to use and the remote is very simple. I just took it to my parents for the weekend and it was neat just plugging it in and being about to watch Netflix with them!
I bought one last year when it came out for $19 and literally just plugged it in last week. I’ve been watching YouTube videos on it this morning as a matter of fact. I’ve enjoyed it. I had Rokus but they stopped working even though I never really used them. I would definitely buy another Fire stick.
Can any one tel difference bw Fire stick and chrome cast stick?? Thanks in advance
With Chromecast, you need a device, like a tablet, phone, or computer to mirror onto your tv screen. A Fire tv stick works on its own with no other device required.
I’m not sure how this works. Do you have to sign in to your amazon account and you watch movies on your tv? sorry–I’m new to this! Can someone explain? Thank you😃
M, if you have Amazon prime, you can add things to your watch list, but to me, it’s a little pricey, the free stuff selection isn’t that hot, so I seem to spend 2 or 3 bucks on things to watch, other than that, I really like it, very easy to use. You sign into Amazon, search the Amazon prime tv shows or movies, add them to your watch list. Then when you turn on your firestick, you see them in the watch list section on your tv screen

I contacted amazon customer service and asked if they would price match. They told me they normally don’t but take it case by case. I told them I would like to buy from them but if I can save $14 buying from Best Buy then I would. The guy told me to buy it and he issued a refund for the difference. He also upgraded me from 2 day shipping to 1 day shipping! I’ll have mine tomorrow!

BEST BUY is SOLD OUT. Sears has it for $24 plus shipping, Staples has it for $29, free shipping with staples rewards.
Walmart and Target do not carry it. Amazon would not price match for me 😐 A little miffed because I’m a prime member, have the store and visa credit cards, and placed 20 orders in the last 6 months.
They wouldn’t price match for me either, and I am in the same situation as you. Funny how they are so confident they won’t price match anyone but other retailers price match them.
Yes, it’s a bit of a pain, but overall I’m very happy with Amazon and Amazon Prime. I do think it’s great that so many stores DO price match other retailers. It makes getting a good price possible, and sometimes I’d rather deal with one retailer over another. For example, I’d rather not order from Sears and Kmart, so if Staples, Target, Walmart, or Best Buy will match, I’ll order from them.
I like to be able to GO TO an actual store if I have a problem with an item I ordered. Makes returns much easier, too.
KMART has it for $24 which Staples.com matched for me, minus 10% with the price match guarantee so it was $23.50 plus tax, free shipping.
We have a TiVo box & stream Amazon Prime & Netflix videos through that. What would the Fire Stick provide that we’re not already getting through Prime on TiVo? Is there some benefit to having the Fire Stick instead?
