My Office Max (Louisville area) has a limit of 3 packages of the .01 filler paper. Still a good deal scenario though.

    • Amy

It’s a limit of 3 wide rule and 3 college rule so you could get 6 total packs. I thought it was 3 total until my awesome cashier told me I could do 3 of each! Yay!!

    • Shopper

My ad states limit 3 per household/business for the filler paper.

      • Allie

So did mine, but when I got in store, the cashier told me I could get 3 of each type – narrow and wide rule.

        • Allie

Wasn’t clear in my above post. So total I got 6 packs for my kids. 3 narrow and 3 wide rule.

  2. Vashty

Mine said $5 on something else THEN I can get the .01 items!

I’m proud of myself this year…I got all my son’s school supplies including his backpack and his clothes for a total of $12.50 out of pocket. You’re the best Collin!

At my office depot it was both the 100 pack and 150 pack of filler paper that was on sale for 1¢. So that meant you could get both sizes in wide rule and college ruled = 12 packs for 12¢

Also there were 3 different kinds of glue sticks for 50¢ so you could get 9 glue sticks for 50¢ each.

    • Mia

So you went to Office Depot and got 12 packs for one cent?

      • Mia

I’m asking because I don’t want to go and it doesn’t go through.

        • NH

I think they are saying that you can get wide and narrow in the 100 pack and then wide and narrow in the 150 pack. I would be sure to check with your store to see if both sizes are on sale and then how they will interpret the ad wording (ie 3 of each size or a limit of 3 total). Hope that helps!

        • Kchast

I got 12 packs for 1¢ each, with my $5 minimum of course. 3 of each kind

          • Mia

            okay thanks. (:

I tried this last time at my store with the notebook deal…3 wide ruled and 3 college…and they wouldn’t let me do it. They said it was a limit of 3 total, no matter the difference.

So here’s my deal…I’ve been going to Office max weekly during B2S sales for years as an educator. I’ve never had an issue with the limit being doubled for educators until yesterday. I too thought the limit for everyone one on the paper was 3 so 6 for teachers. The cashier told me the limit for “regular” customers was 3 wide AND 3 college but for teachers we could do TWO FIVE dollar transactions and get a total of 12…smh I tried to explain to her that is not a benefit and doesn’t even make sense…needless to say I’m heading in tomorrow to speak w the manager as I had my kiddos w me yesterday….

    • Team Redhead

My Office Max had the same “educator deal.” She would have let me buy a $5 gift card to get the deal… this was last week when protractors were a penny. I’m a high school geometry teacher. I would love some extra protractors but not to keep buying $5 gift cards just to get more!

      • Sarah C

$5 gc is a great idea!

    • sheila

Wait… so teachers get to Double the max items?
Where did you find this out? I haven’t heard it anywhere before and would have been taking advantage of it the last few weeks!

      • Sarah C

It’s been this way for years…I usually go to the same location. A few times I haven’t and the associate didn’t know however management always did…may want to talk with your manager?? Yup I’ve always bought double the amount for penny items either for students or donations. I have a supply box for my own kiddos at home

        • sheila

Asked the manager at mine yesterday… he said they were told by corporate that they can no longer double for teachers, and the computer makes it near impossible to override it even if he wanted to. 🙁

Is there amy reason I couldn’t go back today and get more? I’m stopping back in to buy another $5 pair of kids headphones for my son (clearance find) and wondering if there’s any reason not to get more paper and folders while I’m there.

  8. Nancy

Collin, how did you get 10 folders.

    • Ana

the folders are a limit of ten.

    • Jane

      There’s a limit of 10

  9. Dawn

Both of the stores in my area have been out of the BIC pencils since the first day of the sale. Is anyone else finding this?

    • Oops There It Went

I went to my OD store on Rivers Ave in Charleston, SC on Monday and they were out of all specials. Bummer. It seems they Always have a limited, short supply. Quite frustrating. Happy for all who were able to get in on the deals.

Will OD pricematch other stores’ ads?
