I was inspired by your Birthday Bash giveaways. My nephew is turning 21 soon and such an amazing person. He has worked with my husband and I for our business for over a year and so reliable. To show my appreciation, I decided to do a countdown to the Road to 21! In the spirit of 12 days of Christmas – I’m giving him 12 “work” days to the Road of 21. I just so happened to have bought all my supplies for his “first” day tomorrow! I took a beer mug and filled it 3/4 of the way with butterscotch candy, and the rest with white gum balls – replicating a filled mug for a total of $3! I purchased a beer mug for $1! This was NOT a flimsy mug either, it’s heavy and very nice! A bag of butterscotch candies as well for $1! I did purchase the white gumballs at Party City (15/$1). Therefore, this fun gift was $3! Thank you again for inspiring the idea!

Hi Collin! Just yesterday I made my personal list of items I should always buy at Dollar Tree! I often forget how much I can save on items I use often, such as gift bags! I discovered recently that I can buy the Sunday paper for a buck! So, I buy extras when I know there will be several coupon inserts! Also, I always buy lingerie laundry bags (usually come in a 2 pack), cosmetic cotton rounds, batteries, stick lighters (for lighting candles & grills) & dish gloves.
Cheapie toys, party favors and plastic storage crates are my favorite things to buy at the Dollar Tree!
1) Like you mentioned, gift bags and tissue paper. Especially around Christmas! They have a huge variety.
2) Tortillas. Yes, tortillas. They taste great and are only $1. Spices and tea, as well.
3) Face tissue. I can usually find a coupon for it, too. $1/box or less is awesome!
4) Sandwich/freezer bags. You really have to check on these… some of the boxes have a lot more than other boxes. Still, they are so much cheaper!
5) Dog poo bags and cheap dog toys.
6) Cooking utensils and storage containers. Almost every pair of kitchen shears in my house came from the Dollar Tree.
