Walgreens is having a crazy deal on Frozen stationary. I just bought a 9 pack of erasers for 20¢, Post-Its for 20¢ and little mini notebooks. My store had them marked at $1.49 each, but they scanned at 20¢ each!
Scored a ton of school supply clearence for 90% off today. Also got some kites for 20c, nerf rebelle slingshot 1.29 reg. 12.99 etc some boys nerf guns for 1.29 too. Found cute lunch bags for 1.99… jelly belly scented erasers 4 c each, frozen gel pens 2 pack 40c , backpacks were 50c and up…. didnt find much of summer stuff though…Thanks Collin and fellow hip2savers.

I went to like 6 different Walgreen’s checking out clearances. I was able to find a Lalaloopsy doll marked down to $4.49 that was $17.99 everywhere else, and a My Little Pony Fashion Style Rarity for $3.79, $15.99 at the other ones, a Sesame Street Cookie Monster with airplane for $0.84, Lalaloopsy minis for $0.89. The school supplies really vary at stores. Mine had almost nothing marked down, another one had pencils for $0.04, Sharpies for $0.14, Notebooks for $0.10, Folders for $0.10-$0.20. It’s worth checking out as many as you can.

My store was pretty cleared out, but I got a couple of things for less than $1. All the discounted candy was gone.
Florida (Orlando) locations have had nothing so far. Bummer!!!!!! Lots of Halloween items so maybe I missed the deals 🙁
I always found that any Orlando Walgreens had different stock due to tourists….

Does Walgreens allow coupon overage to be used on other products?
No, they do not! In fact It’s my experience that they do not even allow a coupon if it’s over the product price and they will not mark down the coupon.
Agree, they won’t mark down the coupon to the product price. I found a bottle of Method laundry detergent on sale for $2.99 on the shelf, the bottle said $5.97 and it rang up $10.99. So the manager had to come and adjust the price anyway, so they made it $3.00 for me so I could use my $3.00 off Method laundry detergent coupon. She said they normally won’t adjust a price or a coupon down so that you can get a free item.
not in IN. Been stalking the store for a few days now. its not even 50% off on a lot of items. Summer stuffs are all gone except flip flops and 4-5 Frisbees. uggh

If it isn’t marked you should price check done and see. Mine had backpacks marked at full price but they were 90% off at register
The 90% off was a directive from corporate. So even if it isn’t marked it should scan at 90% off.
I went to 2 stores yesterday and one had no clearance like this at all. The other had several school supplies and some summer stuff. Got a quick set intex 5ft”15in pool for $6, a nice size for my 5 and 3 year old. Wish mine had the frozen stuff. My daughter’s bday is coming up and they would make great favors. No deep clearances in Kansas City yet as of yesterday. The manager said he will start gradually marking down things until 9/21
I just got some good deals in Kansas City. 32 items, $385 worth of stuff for $72. One store was almost all pool stuff, but the other had stuff like sunbeam heating pads ($39.99 down to $10), conair touch n tone massager ($16.99 down to $4.24), a couple of costumes – Sofia and some other princess I can’t remember, they’re in the car still ($14.99 down to $3.74), etc.
I should add, I also got lots of good stuff under $1 too. Most of it was the pool stuff though.
I found a five star mead trapper keeper marked 6.21 rang up as a 1.79 at walgreens yesterday

Nothing in my Naperville IL store yet. Went yestarday and school supplies and summer stuff was only marked down 20% in the back. Had all the Halloween stuff out.

Altoona PA store is a mess and most items are around 50% off. I took an item from the summer clearance to the register to check the price and it was still full price!

I got a few things yesterday in MN. 5 star mini planner for $1, kite for .59 and a zip up monster pencil box case for $1 (all 90%) but not all was 90%. Notebooks and backpacks were not that cheap and not candy either.

Make sure that you price check the items. My store didn’t have anything priced this low, but a lot of it rang up 90% off. I got a Frozen backpack with a lunch bag for $1.59!

I went to multiple Walgreens stores yesterday and found little but I did speak to one of the managers about some 90% off at some stores and how others are only 75% off. He told me its corporate that sends the email and ALL the stores will be at whatever corporate decides it should be. I asked one associate about the nerf guns on sale and she said they sold out very quickly & then has the nerve to tell me one of the associates has a stash pile!! Excuse me!! I said you can put stuff on the side? She said yes, her manager lets her. That’s exactly what I was looking for! I was outraged to here that.
Same thing happened at my store
The cashier told me her co worker held a bunch of the nerf guns. I called the manager to complain and she was rude said its first come. I said i understand that if the employee was on break and paid for them.
I went in today too and I overheard one lady tell her manager… thank you for holding that for me yesterday and I watched her checkout with three bags worth of stuff. She was an employee because she had her work shirt on. I dont know what she got but she was talking about the clearance wallets, etc.

So Wags employees aren’t allowed to be customers? Geez. When people get great deals here, they say “first come, first served.” I don’t begrudge employees working minimum-wage jobs a few good deals at their places of employment.
Really Erin? The employee at my store that had a “stash pile” wasn’t even working that day. She had the other girl put all the good stuff on the side. I work retail myself, and we are allowed the same deals as customers AS long as we are on break or lunch. There’s no putting stuff on the side for yourself for later.
Ok so this is weird…. we have 2 Walgreens in northern ca brentwood. One had a ton of summer clearence and I scored a bunch of stuff for next year and stuff to donate. The other store had summer stuff only some was 50% off others were full price. Both stores school stuff way only like 30% off. Why such a difference in two stores down the road from each other?

Example my rite aid in north myrtle beach, SC had chairs and sand toys FULL price because those will be harder to find for the vacationers because all the other stores got rid of it. It sends the message, well I have to go to rite aid because I know they have them. This is as well as other tourist towns. I was told many stores have to ship it back to the warehouse and that costs the store more money. Family dollar store DOES donate their stuff though.

Checked one on kings highway had washcloths for .20 originally 4.19 but had sold out.
Scotch tape single rolls .10 each but as well were sold out.
Make sure to look in the back on shelves as they love to shove all the clearance there.
Found the school supplies for cheap in SW Michigan. I even found a Frozen thermos lunchbox for my daughter for $1.09. The cashier was shocked at my savings. I love when that happens!

Everything is on sale in NY but not ringing at the register correctly. It shows it on the hand held scanner (Telzon). Our backpacks were .50 and I got shoes for .20. I love a good bargain. There was a ton of clearance in the cosmetic area of candy and other misc. items.

I donated nearly a 100 $.50 backpacks from three Walgreens last night. I also threw in .30-.40 packs of pencils, notebooks, .04 erasers, etc. I found lunchboxes but they were not scanning 90% off. I saved over $600.

In Buffalo Grove, IL I found one Walgreens with things 90% off. They had sterilite containers for 30 and 60 cents, so I bought a bunch of those.
Went to another Walgreens down the street from that and one in Northbrook and they were both disappointing. I’ll be checking more out later today.
Got 20 kites for .40-.60 each! Perfect birthday party favors!! In Tinley Park Il. Also found a Frozen punch bag for $1.
I just went to Hopkinsville, KY store – there was nothing. No 90% deals, but the hallmark card deal did work!
I’ve been to about six Wags in the Richmond/Short Pump, Va. Over the past few days. Very scattershot and generally picked over. There were some stray items for 90 percent off, but not whole catergories at that discount–and not much at 90 at any one store. The “good stuff” is not going to make it 90. Bought the few Nerf and My Little Pony items I saw at 75, since I know they won’t make it to 90. Good deal on Nerf dart refills at Target with the b2g1 and Cartwheel.
I was just at the Short Pump Walgreens and some lady had about 20 backpacks in her cart that her friend but in the back for her last week. Not cool! Plus there is no way to tell what is actually 90% off. Erin, I live in SP and I’ll be more than happy to share clearance info with you, it would save us both a lot of trips to the stores. I don’t actually live in Short Pump, so I don’t think I’ll be able to help much. I’m just up that way every couple weeks, and I stopped in the stores I passed.

I found lots of the girl nerf for 90% off $.99-$1.29
And only a few of the boy nerf ones were that low. I did find vinyl pools for $1.79. The cars design was 90% off but the spiderman design was full price. So I’m not sure why that’s happening.
Mine was lowering as we went in to 90% off, i got 4 pools 4 sets if pool toys and 2 nerf guns for 12. So excited,

I was able to find a bunch of 90% off items at my Walgreens. I bought a bunch of backpacks for next year, five start notebooks, pools, floaties, nerf gun and much more. Very productive day!!!

I live about 15 mins from short pump. Have either of you checked the willow lawn area Walgreens off of Libbie? I did and they do have several items. Backpacks weren’t tagged but they had several. I know one lady in front of me got one and it rang up $1.19.
Darn! I was just out at the Willow Lawn ON to use my SuperCash on Monday (and was *very* surprised to find *nothing* there to spend it on! Usually Willow Lawn has a much better selection). Didn’t stop at Wags, though. Is it worth stopping if I’m out that way or is it also mostly picked over? I did do some price checking at the stores I’ve stopped at and the items were priced as marked (i.e., much higher than what others are finding).
They had lots at my store a guy bought it all the workers told me he re sells it I tried.
