   I really want one of these but I’m wondering about the magnet? Someone I know was a computer teacher and she always made such a big deal about never letting a magnet touch the computer?

   I have one with a magnet and Absolutely love it. Magnets have no real effect on your electronics, The idea was based upon PC hard-drives and the magnet could wipe a hard-drive. Smartphones don’t have HDs so nothing to worry about. Also back when your PC monitor was a CRT the big tube TV a Magnet could cause the display to change colors the way the lights were transmitted. Your cell phone is likely LED so again no effect. I would recommend going with a magnet mount just for the pure ease of laying the phone on it and going, Also if you have multiple vehicles its nice to just lay it on, and not re size for a spouses phone etc.. I have a note 3 so its a bit larger and some mounts I have used weren’t quite strong enough unless I had the metal behind my case perfectly centered.

  I got the CD clip. I didn’t want one of my vents blocked, especially on a hot summer day when I need the AC pointed at me.

   It comes with a small plate you put in your phone case, so you can put your case back on and its magnetically attracted to the part that hangs in the car.
