If so, sign into your American Express account and check the “Amex Offers & Benefits” section as you may have an offer for a one-time $10 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $10 or more in-store at a qualifying small business on the Shop Small Map by 11/28/2015.

Used to be a $25 credit, then recently it was $10×3. Now it’s $10×1, which is better than none. Will probably use it at a local restaurant, as usual. I also found a $10 credit if I use my card to pay my u-verse bill. Thanks Collin.

In order to get statement credits for qualifying purchases with your Amex cards, you must REGISTER IN ADVANCE. The promotion is limited, so you’ll want to register all your Amex cards as soon as possible after registration opens — usually a week or two before Small Business Saturday.
I stand corrected. The press release I had seen was dated August. I just now read the updated FAQs. No more statement credits from Amex on Small Business Saturday. SERIOUS BUMMER. I expect small businesses will take a major hit due to this new policy.
Ditto to serious bummer. Oh well. Yet another reason not to care that COSTCO is dumping Amex.
Not on Amex Gold, or Amex Hilton cards
This is really disappointing… AMEX will not be offering the same benefit as they have in previous years on Shop Small Satuday. Here is their statement from their web site:
“This year we are not offering a statement credit offer for Card Members on Small Business Saturday, but are instead increasing the support and resources we provide to help small business owners market the day within their communities and truly make it their own.”
Big disappointment.

I had the offer on one card out of 4. I won’t complain, considering those who didn’t get it all.
It sure was nice last year when we got $10 3 times on each of 4 cards for a total $120! it seemed too good to expect it to continue…
