  1. Laura

I’m confused- do I get one or two $10 target gift cards. I thought it was one. But at the end of Collins math it’s mentioned twice

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just one. Sorry for the confusion. I am going to fix the scenario.

    • Jaime

The total is $52 before discounts – so you scan the $10 gift card coupon first (b/c your total is over $50), then cartwheel + coupons brings it down to $40 (which you pay) and you get back the $10 gc.

    • Ainsworth

      Just one, Not twice,

  2. Amber

    Collin,
I thought the same thing about the Oreo thins at first! Then I tried them and they’re yummy! The mint flavored are the best! Surprisingly the kiddos love them too!

    • Happymama

Agreed! They taste like Girl Scout Thin Mints. Enough said lol

      • Elizabeth

I agree the Oreo thin mints taste so good! I am actually weird with regular Oreos and scrape the white stuff out and just eat the chocolate cookies, I think the white stuff is gross 🙂

        • Vivian

It was surprisingly good! I just tried the regular, and my hubby who is an Oreo purist snob (as in he turns up his nose at the trader joes version) liked them too

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh interesting… thanks for the feedback. Now you all are tempting me to go by a package! 😉

      • Danielle

Go. Now. You won’t be let down. Seriously.

  3. Jennifer

    You are both adorable!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awww… thanks, Jennifer! 🙂

  4. ASHLEY

Kroger has LaCroix 12 packs on sale for $1.99 so just 99cents after coupon!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

WOW! What a *HOT* price for LaCroix… thanks much for the heads up on this sale!

  5. Barbara

I purchased 12 Lipton soups (buy 3 get one free) 4 Progresso soups, 4 cambells soups, 1 dried onions, 2 cans green beans, 2 bottles of Simply juice, 4 Philly cream cheese, 2 Laughing cow cheeses,
with coupons and ten back it was $38.00

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

WooHoo! Sounds like you got some awesome deals on groceries… thanks for sharing what you purchased! 🙂

  6. nancyr

Love how Amanda’s been in the videos with you Collin! You both are so lively and fun to watch. And I absolutely love the Oreo thins. When I was younger, I used to separate the cookies and scrape the icing off and then eat them that way. Apparently, I’m not the only one that loves the cookie without a lot of “middle.” I still even prefer cake without icing unless it’s just some whipped cream on the top. Takes all kinds, right? LOL Thanks for another fun video. Always makes me smile to see your shopping trips.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

LOL! How funny… I so wish I was like you and could easily scrape off the icing. BUT no, this girl has a severe addiction to icing. I really should NEVER have it in my house! 😉

  7. Christine

Would love for you to do some deals on healthier options. Soda, cake, sugary cereal and frozen pizza are all things I wouldn’t normally buy.

    • Joy

I agree!! Please could you show deals with healthy options. I also do not buy the sugary foods. Fresh options please for this deal.

    • Mary

Agreed normally I don’t but with the holidays coming up and company coming over these are fun ideas that will be used up .

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Totally understand about doing a healthier scenario. One of the problems is that there are NO Super Target stores in Idaho 🙁 … so sad! So as far as working in fresh produce and fruits into a scenario… well, we aren’t able to do that. It’s a bummer! Hopefully, though, we can get another deal idea posted in the next couple of days with healthier options. We really just tried to make this one about easy deals that require just printable coupons and Cartwheels. Plus, I thought it may be good this time of year (with everyone being so busy) to throw some convenience foods into the mix. 🙂

      • Jennifer

I work full time and have a son who plays sports, I need all the convenience food deals I can get my hands on. 😀👍

      • Joy

Well that’s a very fair response. If you don’t have them… It stands to reason that you cannot do the deals for them. Appreciate that you gave us all an update on the rationale.

…and that’s why all of us love your site! 👍🏽

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

          You’re sweet! Thanks, Joy! 🙂

  8. Stacy

We do seem to be preparing for a kid’s sleep-over party. 😀 I am curious though, if the “grocery” items for the gift card promo includes things like gingerbread houses, holiday candy, hickory farms items, etc?

    • Christina

I think those are in seasonal category.

  9. Christina

Collin, I just love you. “Our Target scenario will NOT include Oreos today.” Bahahahahaha. I was wondering the same thing about “thins”. WHY???

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      😉

  10. JeN

I like Collin’s videos , the new are a lot more funnier than the old ones for sure, but for some reason I enjoy more watching the old videos, I think she was more into it when she really needed to save or it was more real without all the animations and stuff… I know all things change but anywayssss I love hip2save. I really don’t think Amanda is that charismatic =/ Sorry but that’s my opinion.

    • Tara

Sometimes it’s best to just keep your mouth shut….and that’s my opinion.

      • JeN

First, I wasn’t rude or insulted anyone. Second, Everyone has the right to have their own opinion and should feel free to share it, if you agree or not is up to you. just “respect” other people’s opinion. and Third, follow your own advise and keep your mouth shut. =)

        • Tara

You commented about Amanda which was unnecessary. They don’t make these videos for people to critique their personality. I’m just in shock you actually felt the need to post that.

        • Karen

Hmmm…whatever happened to the saying, “if you don’t have anything nice to day, don’t say anything at all.”

          • Karen

            Meant nice to say…not day!

        • Karen

          Advice

    • meg

Yes everyone is entitled to their own opionion. But when did it become ok to put someone down in a comment section? Someone YOU dont even know…someone who is trying to help others save valuable money and time??? Someone you wouldnt put down to their face but hide behind your keyboard and do it. This site….so i thought…was to bring people together to save money…to have a little fun…to be suportive of one another. Not tear each other down. Thanks collin and amanda for all your hard work.

      • Tara

        Thank you!

      • Karen

I agree Meg! Thank you both Collin and Amanda for your hard efforts in making these videos!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

All I can say is that Amanda is amazing… sincere, thoughtful, trustworthy, generous, and is always there to support me. I am so grateful to have her in my life. <3 I actually posted about this on Instagram because I honestly don't know what I'd do without her.

      https://www.instagram.com/p/-ICIGOpaeE/

      • Jessica. P

I appreciate that you and Amanda have different and unique personalities! You’ve been doing these videos so much longer that it’s probably more natural and easy to be yourself. I imagine it’s hard stepping in front of a camera…I don’t think I could do it!! Kudos for Amanda to step in and help a friend and continue to do these deal videos with you. That’s a great friend! 🙂 Not everyone can have your personality, nor does everyone need to. Amanda is a real person and I think she’s lovely! 🙂 I think all of us would love to go deal shopping with a great friend…it looks so much more fun than a crabby 3 yr old (my shopping company!! Lol) Keep up the great work ladies!!

      • Elizabeth

I think Amanda is a sweet, beautiful person. It is a joy to watch best friends who are able to work together have so much fun! Thank you both Collin and Amanda for all your hard work!

    • Elizabeth

Say nothing negative about anyone, and all the good you can about everyone. Opinions can be hurtful.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks, Elizabeth. I love this “Say nothing negative about anyone, and all the good you can about everyone” <3

    • Barbara Ann

I just can’t wrap my head around why some people negatively comment on their perception of others. What is the point of it, really? Standing face to face with Amanda, would you, JeN, tell Amanda that “she’s not charismatic?” I’d bet that you wouldn’t. You wouldn’t because you (hopefully) have some manners. Please extend those same face-to-face courtesies and manners to the Hip2Save community, which overall I have found to be positive and uplifting.

    • Erica

Amanda must be an introvert, like me. What would be of the world if the introverts did not exist? Can you imagine a world full of extroverts? I would get out of the Earth Lol.

  11. susanne

OK, so I want you to try the oreo thins! Especially the mint ones! I love a good Oreo, but I love these too. They taste like Girl Scouts thin mints. My favorite really!

  12. Donna

OMG, love Amanda! “check out our loots, it’s a hoots”. Made me laugh out loud.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      🙂

      • Errrrrr

I really enjoyed this video. You are both funny and refreshing. Amanda’s personality shines through. I love Collin’s energy. You both play off one another, and it truly is adorable.

  13. Dani

Is Amanda wearing Siren song Jamberry nail wraps lol sorry they caught my eye =)

  14. adrienne

I just had get all my 27 items for free I have my $20 gift card that I had get for a speaker that I purchase online and I had some more gift cards from old purchases that I made at target

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      WooHoo! That’s awesome! 🙂

  15. Kasi

You gals make my day. Thanks for all you do. I tried regular Oreo thins and did not like them at all. I need my icing!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh icing… how addicting you are! 😉

      • Kasi

        Indeed!

  16. Cheri

Does anyone think the CLIF bars are nutritional bars? Will they work toward this deal?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m pretty sure they are considered nutritional bars… so they wouldn’t work with the Grocery promo. Bummer! 🙁

  17. Ashley C.

Maybe i’m the only person in the world that doesn’t like the oreo cream lol. I eat the oreo cookies and my two year old will “collect’ the cream for me. My husband thinks i’m insane.

    • Cheri

I’m skeptical, but I think I’m going to risk it. I know the meal replacement powders and meal bars are located in the pharmacy area at my targay, so I’m thinking THAT’S what the restriction is referring to. Will let you know. 🙂

      • Cheri

Sorry, Ashley, this should have gone in thread above you! Oops!

      • K

Hi, Cheri. On the Target app, it says that Cliff bars are included.

  18. zaara

Can we use free manufacturer coupons in this scenario as i do have some coupons and would love to use them and thank you Collin love the videos

    • mel

Absolutely! I had several free product coupons that I saved, hoping for a grocery deal! It really helped getting up to $50 easier.

  19. Jennifer

Great video! So sad… I just moved to a town with no Target! Still love your videos! I enviously watch you two get those awesome deals! Also, you both are amazing. Never let anyone make either you feel less! Mostly likely they are more than a little jealous of your adorableness and success!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for the kind words, Jennifer! 🙂

  20. Charity

Shopmium app has a rebate on the Sara Lee items that can save a little more on this scenario

  21. L

I was at target today and didn’t even need the coupon to get $10 GC. The cashier automatically gave it to me.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awesome! 🙂

  22. Mary R

The Oreo thins still have the same amount of frosting (right??). Just the cookies are thinner so better frosting to cookie ratio! Delish.

  23. allison

Thank you for the video Collin and all you and your team do! I loved your rap! Your nails are super cute too!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You are so welcome! AND thank YOU for the kind words. 🙂

  24. Karin

A friend told me she freezes the Oreo thins and they are Amazing! I haven’t dared to try yet!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh gosh… now I think I’m going to have to buy a package and try this! 😉

    • Linda

Omg freezing them!!!!! I have to try this too. Yum!

    • Tammy

I brought home some of the thin Oreos when Kroger had them as the Friday freebie coupon a couple of weeks ago. They are dangerous to have around because they disappear so fast. I could eat the whole package!

  25. Myr

OMG the Oreo Thins are so effin delicious I can’t deal! They don’t make less cream they just make the cookie part thinner and it’s just freakin dangerous because I ate an entire bag in one sitting. AN ENTIRE BAG, COLLIN. IT’S DANGEROUS.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

LOL!!! Now you are so makin’ me want to go run out and buy a package. And don’t feel bad, as I’ve eatin’ entire bags of things too! 😉

  26. cathy

Thanks for taking the time to do this. You’re both amazing.

  27. Ceci

    LOL AWESOME VIDEO GIRLS!!!!!!!!!
I Love the part where Collin put her foot down against the Oreo thins! HAHAHAH
I decided to stop buying oreos since Nabisco moved the factory to Mexico… I try supporting american jobs.
Anyway, thank you so much for everything girls! YOU ROCK.
    XOXO
By the way, LOVE THE NEW WEBSITE!

    • Jane

Not all the factories are in Mexico. My father in law works for nabisco in VA, only 5 mins away from where he lives. He is able to eat straight from the oven! So jealous. BTW, they are hiring.

  28. Laura

I had to chime in on the oreo thins. I love the cream and usually buy double stuff. That being said, I thought the oreo thins were surprisingly good. Also, Collin and Ananda you both rock!

  29. melissa

For betty crocker i also used saving star and got another .75 off. Also ibotta has a few produce items that make your cost even lower.

  30. lynette

I like to buy tea and chocolates when this coupon comes out for stockings. But hubby will pleased about pizzas!
And I hope my store has Annie mac and cheese for him too! I even have $1 off coupon from a free fred meyer healthy living magazine.

  32. May

Thank you for this deal. I bought $50 Target gift card at Smith’s, which worth 4x fuel points. Hubby and I fill our car up to 35 gallons (which is $7 savings to fill both cars). I price matched the groceries (21 Rockstar, 5 produces, 4 Philly cream cheese, Jimmy Dean, 2 Best Foods, except 5 gallons of milk, then used mfg qp. Submitted on Ibotta, SavingStar, Shrink, and will submit for $4 beer rebate for produce. Not bad for $31.57 before the $7 fuel saving.
