Wow, we’ve been Verizon customers for about 4 years, and I had no idea they offered this perk!
I have been with Verizon for a while and I have not seen it. The only time mine was upgraded on data was when they did away with the data plan before I could upgrade my phone. They bumped me from 1gb to 2gb without paying extra. As far as the one month free, I haven’t seen it before.
I got the free data and would love some of those music and movie freebies!
Do you have to be a Verizon customer to get the freebies (not the data offer)? I remember last year when they did this you didn’t have to be a customer but not too sure about this year.

spoke to Verizon rep yesterday becuase we have almost used data allowance for this cycle. She said to download GO90 app on my phone and this will add 2GB of data to our account for each Nov and Dec. She said you just have to download and register, you don’t have to use app. I did it and got automatic 2GB of data. I have “more everything” plan (I think), so it might be plan specific like this 1GB freebie.

We’ve been with Verizon for years. I know Verizon is not for everyone based on specific needs, but it does work for us. We have the 40 gb plan that they offered a little over a year ago for HALF off (it was an uber special and probably won’t ever offer it again). We do not use even close to that much data (probably around 5 or 6 gb) but if I lower my data plan, guess what, it would cost us more. I’m one of the fortunate ones who have been grandfathered in. My suggestion would be to just keep calling and talking to the representatives and see if they might have this hidden gem of a deal. I only found out about this deal after calling for something else and lucked out.
I can’t imagine how much your phone bill is? We have 3 lines on our plan with 2 gb each, and it’s almost $250/month. I think that’s too high!
That is too high. We pay $150 a month for two lines with 6gb shared data and it includes the cost of our iPhones. I can’t remember the name of our plan but it was about the same to pay for the phones out of pocket versus including the prorated cost in the monthly bill.
K, we have 4 phones (all smart phones now as I just converted a few months back, yes, was still living in the dark ages) and we are just under $250. It is sad but we still have our two grown sons on our plan because I refuse to have them get their own as it would cost them double what it does to just keep them on my plan. They pay me so I really don’t mind. But as I stated, if we go to a lesser plan, it will cost us more for less data — makes no sense but they said if I ever gave up the 40 gb I would never get it for that price again, so we keep it for that just in case moment.
Wow! You got a great deal! We all have smart phones too. We’ve been with Verizon for a long time, but I’m getting ready to dump them if they can’t give us a better deal. We’re all off contract, so I know I can get a better deal elsewhere. I cringe when I see their commercials on tv for way lower prices than we have with higher limits. Looks like I’ll be calling them! Thanks for your reply! I hope I wasn’t being too personal! I just like to check what other people are paying at times to see if they’re overcharging me!
My husband has been with Verizon for 12 years. He had the unlimated data plan forever….until he HAD to have that new phone…lol He ended up with 4 gigs of data. Well after years of living in the dark ages I finally got an up to date phone and put on his plan. Now I NEVER go into the store I always call. When I called about something ( can’t remember what it was for) I ended my convo with the rep and had received 10 gigs of data with 2 phones for the price of the 4 gigs and only 1 phone. Not sure what the lady did but my husband did receive a $25 line credit because he’s out of contract plus he gets a 20% discount through his work.
So it never hurts to call 😀

Wow! It worked for me too! I signed up for the Thanksgetting offer of 1gb bonus. And just downloaded the go90 app and received 2gb bonus email. I signed into my Verizon Wireless account on the computer… and sure enough the 3gb bonus is already posted on my account!!! The email I received from go90 states the extra 2gb data/month expires on 2/21/16. Now, I have 2 days left in my billing cycle. We have 6 phones on our bill… $350/month. ouch! We have the 10gb plan. I noticed that we went over our limit and used 11.4gb this month… with 2 days left. I’m hoping these 3gb bonus will kick in and cover us on that overage. Fingers crossed!
