I am re-posting this *HOT* deal! I actually posted a bit ago… but the post got really confusing as it appeared to only work for Android users, HOWEVER it seems you can actually score this credit from other devices too! 🙂
Through December 24th, hurry on over to Amazon and opt to purchase one of the FREE games found here to score a FREE $5 Amazon credit! What’s SO sweet about this promo is that it works without actually downloading the game! Just go here and opt to download one of the qualifying free apps. If you’re NOT an Android user, it will give you a warning that it may not be compatible with your device, but continue regardless (as you’re not required to actually download the app to get your $5 credit). After doing so, add anything to your cart and when you go to checkout, your $5 credit will automatically be applied. SO awesome! 🙂
IMPORTANT NOTE, I am on my computer doing this and not my iPhone. If you’re having trouble on your mobile device, try switching to a computer to see if that works.
If you’re an Android user, another way to take advantage of this deal, download the FREE Amazon Underground Android App and click on the “apps and games” section. Then you should see an offer valid for a FREE $5 Amazon credit for downloading one of 20 free pre-selected apps.

I am an Amazon Prime member (student), I have an android device, and have it connected to my account. I have downloaded Underground and 3 of the specified games in it (on my computer and my android device) and it still isn’t working. Although the promotion is still on the Amazon page for Underground. 🙁
does anyone know how to get to this promotion WITHOUT going through the link? I tried calling customer service because I spent over an hour trying to get this to work and they are saying this promotion never existed?!?! They said unless I can tell them how to get to the promotion from amazon.com they cant help me.
Nevermind I think I’ll just give up after basically being called a liar by customer service!

I got the email saying I have the credit in my account, but it doesn’t show up anywhere and it doesn’t automatically apply at checkout. HELP!!
Is your item Shipped and sold by Amazon?
The item has to say it ships from and sold by Amazon to be eligible to use the $5 credit.
Empty your cart, sign out of the account and sign back in, add your sold & shipped item(s) and it should show up. Did for me.
Amazon send me a credit for $25 for Amazon digital underground .I could see the credit in my account but I couldn’t use.I try talking to rep online on phone. The Amazon workers knew nothing about it .They couldn’t help me use it so I gave up on it.I did download some fun free games like burger shop,sonic2,mind game pro.

You said through the 24th, but it says through the 11th on the terms and conditions? Also, it doesn’t give me the option to add it to my cart. Says I have to go through Amazon Underground. Did you have to do that too? Seems to be quite a few people have trouble with this freebie 🙁
I was on the computer last night and it did say the through the 24th on the Amazon website but I was on my iPad so didn’t work. Figured, since wasn’t expiring anytime soon, I would try it today on the laptop and notices that the expiration date changed to Dec. 11-I know I read it correctly yesterday and makes sense since this website has it listed the same. I am going to write and complain but doesn’t sound like they will do anything either.
Still worked for me this morning 12/13. I’d try again everyone if you didn’t get it!
I went on Dec. 11th and it did say expires the 24th because I was trying to download a game but it was not working as I was on my iPad, so I wasn’t in a rush to figure it out since I have until the 24th. So, it was a surprise to find they changed the date to the 11th. Not sure that they will do anything as cannot really prove now about the date.
