Does anyone know how you recharge these? Do you need to purchase a separate charging station?

    • illjustwingit

You would need a charger unless you put the batteries in say a game controller and you have a charging station. Hope that helps. 🙂

    • Diene sly

      Yes you do.

  2. Ararat

Jen, you will definitely need a battery charger. I can’t believe you asked that )))

    • Jackie

I was going to ask the same question as Jen, since the end of the post talks about the batteries being charged in the factory with solar energy. I hadn’t heard of that before and am also curious what equipment might be needed.

I “can” believe she asked that. I “can’t” believe your (Ararat) comment back to her.

      • Jen

Exactly, thank you Jackie! Many times batteries come with chargers so I wasn’t sure if one needed to be purchased separately or if it came with one.

Just ignore people like that. They just like to get a rise out of others. Must not have anything better to do.

Ararat, So what is with your ))) ??? Where are your beginning ((( ??

      I can’t believe you typed those!!!! 😉

      • Ararat

Please don’t stone me for my comment, ladies. I thought it was simply funny that someone asked if RECHARGEABLE batteries need a CHARGER or mot. The answer was obvious. At least to me. I am very sorry, Jen, if that helps, please forgive me. Didn’t think I am insulting someones feelings. Peace!

We have slowly switched over to Eneloop forn allmof our batteries. They made great! I grab some more every time there is a sale. You don’t need a special charger for them. They work with any battery charging station you have that will fit the battery size. They also have these cases that you put a smaller battery (AA I think) into and it makes a C size rechargeable battery!

Holy cow. I swear that was all my autocorrect. I really am literate, I swear.

Thanks, just ordered. We needed more after Christmas! We’ve been using these since 2011 and love them. You can purchase a 4-pack with the charger at Amazon for about $13. We also have the following Sony charger that works for these batteries, as well. When we originally purchased the reviews recommended this charger. We use both chargers with good success!

I purchased a whole set of these rechargeable batteries at Costco for around $20. The set includes a charger, 8 AAs, 8 AAAs, and the option for 2 Cs and 2 Ds. This was in the Seattle area.

    • Stacey

      actually only 4 AAAs

    • Tiffany

Thats good to know! I plan to got to Costco this weekend.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Oh cool!

We’ve bought the starter packs from Costco the last two years, ours doesn’t carry them year round, but they usually have them before the holidays. We now have 2 chargers and 16 AA, 8AAA, and the C and D adapter, but I definitely need more. We use them in remotes and wireless keyboards and trackpads, flashlights, etc. I would like to always have some on the charger to switch out. This is the first deal I’ve seen outside of Costco, I’m excited to get more!!
