I have this freezer and it is the perfect size. Doesn’t take up a lot of space and this is a great price!

      Sweet! Thanks for sharing Jennifer!

I have this freezer for almost 8 years (in storage for 3 years) and it’s still working. This is not frost-free, though, but very minimal frost. I only remove the frost with a spatula, never really unplugged it to defrost.

Tip for any chest freezer: buy some plastic bins or baskets that can stack (even milk crates) and group your food by type in these bins. If you need something that’s on the bottom, you just lift out the top bin and swap them, so the bottom bin is now on top, making it easy to dig for what you’re looking for.

Awesome tip! Good to know Maggie!

      Love your suggestion. Thx

Wow your so smart! Why didn’t I think of that! I hate how stuff falls all over and can’t find anything. Love that it can be organized. How many fit in there? 3-4?

Lol I was going to put off purchasing because I’m pregnant and imagined myself literally diving in to find something. Great advice.

Does anyone know if there is a store participating in the freezer sale this year? The one that Jewel had back a few years where you buy the freezer and then get over $150 in coupons for frozen food? I’m ready for one!! Thanks

👍🏼 Maggie! That’s what we do in our large chest freezer. Especially helps out when you’re a petite woman. 🙂
We have milk crate type bins: blue for meat, green for veggies, red for breads or other category depending what we have. Not everything is in crates, but just having those 3, helps to organize.

I got mine through Hyvee that way a few years ago… We also got our grill through them with the free food coupons as well… Many of them were for food storage, etc. but you got your purchase price back in free stuff.

Had to chime in: Bought mine for that price at Albertsons two years ago, and it quit working after one year. Had probably $100 worth of meat in it, lol. We weren’t LOLing at the time. If you buy one of these, get a $30 temperature alarm on Amazon. It has saved us twice now when we’ve left the NEW freezer door open. FYI, the manual defrost freezers are the way to go if you want to avoid freezer burn. ALSO, our “new” one is a stand-up one from craigslist ($70), and it’s soooo much easier to use than a chest freezer. Wanted to share my experience for anyone debating between the options of manual vs auto defrost and chest vs stand-up.

Thanks for sharing your experience Holly. Good to know! 😉
