   Ok, this may be dumb but does this work on the old Wii system?

  The balance board will work on the old Wii, but you will need the Wii fit or Wii fit plus game for the Wii. The game and fit meter that come with this will not work the the old Wii, only the new WiiU.

   Does the original wii fit board work with Wii U? Son just got Wi iU for xmas; we have the original wii fit & board but haven’t tried it with the Wii U. Wondering if purchasing this one would be redundant or necessary lol.

  Previous Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus owners who have a Wii Balance Board do not need to purchase a new one—the Wii Balance Board is compatible with Wii Fit U.

  Wii u is $299. Before christmas there were sales of $250. Also the controllers are $40-$50 each. If you already had the original wii, you can use those controllers with the wii u tho.

   I bought a set before Christmas with a deal that was posted through Target. Paid roughly $28 for it. My 5 year old is obsessed with the balance games. I play with him and it’s turned out to be more fun and interactive than I thought it would be on a game. I was on the fence on purchasing but glad I grabbed it.
