Hubby is computer guy. He said you want at least 8gb. But it’s a good computer for just typing reports and research for a student

I had an Asus computer with these specs and it worked perfectly fine until the battery started to malfunction and I had to leave it plugged in when I used it. Then, the AC also stopped working and I tried with an universal charger I bought for a previous laptop. These laptops usually come with the battery inside the computer and you have to open the entire lower portion to get it out. Turns out my laptop’s motherboard got damaged and it was cheaper to get a new one.
My laptop was less than two years old, but warranty’s for a year.
If we hadn’t just bought a laptop. ..i personally think it’s a misnomer that you have to spend a ton of money to have a decent laptop – it’s all what you need to use it for. Is this a good one for gaming – probably not. To go on the internet and type papers – sure. We had a laptop that we spent $800 on and it lasted two years before it was done, and i have a techie husband who just couldn’t fix it. It came down to technology changing so fast things are basically obsolete pretty quickly. Our current laptop was $300 (cheap) and couldn’t be happier with it.
Amazon is asking $280.00, this is a good deal.
