Thank you! Size 4s in both huggie types for .14 and .15 per diaper, I love stocking up on the next size for my kiddos 🙂

  2. Ashley

There is also easy ups for .18 each. No coupon but a decent price for training pants 🙂

  3. Lisa

Thank you! 🙂 Love this deal – Size 4 for .13/diaper – awesome!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome! 🙂

  4. Becca

    Great deal!! Thank you 😊

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      YW!

How many diapers would you recommend a new mom stock up on for each size? I have a decent stockpile going already over the years, but with our little one due in April, I am starting to wonder if I’m going overboard or if I’m right on track.

    I have:
    about 400 size 1
    about 300 size 2
    about 500 size 3
    about 80 size 4

Is this a good start or will I need more? We don’t have a great financial situation, so I am wanting to stock up while prices are good.

    • Ashley

Thats probably enough size one but you could get more 2s and I found my 3 kiddos were in 3s the longest. My 1 year old was in them for 7 mths.
I always figure 8 diapers a day and stocked up before birth based on this (thus around 1.5 mths of size 1 360, 2 mths of size 2 480, 5 mths of size 3 1,200, 3 mths of size 4 720) its not perfect but Ive never had any left of any size with those numbers.

    • Austin

Don’t get too many of the smaller sizes (newborn, 1s, 2s). My son is only 4.5 months and already in size 3!

    • Meea

Size 3 is what my son was in the longest! Just ordered size 3 for my baby girl due in April.

    • Katie

So this is what I learned – mark the boxes with like a post it note about where you got them. Diapers bought on clearance and online are harder to return if you’re even able to do it – use those first. That way, if your baby grows out of a size and you still have diapers in that size, you can return what’s left or exchange for the next size up. Otherwise you end up like me with a box of size 1’s that will have to be for the next baby!!

    • Lauren

Just remember, every baby is different. I listened to everyone saying not to buy hardly any newborn and very few size 1’s and then I ended up having a 6lb 1oz baby. I found myself having to take a two week old out to buy boxes of newborn diapers at full price. She is almost 6 months old and won’t see size 3 for a while. I would buy more than enough in the smaller sizes, you can always exchange for bigger sizes. Don’t mess yourself up like I did and get stuck paying full price!

My son is skinny and has been in size 4 for months. He is 20 months old and weighs 24 lbs. Size 4 can go from 22 to 37 lbs. I doubt he will ever wear size 5 diapers. Keep in mind that some diapers run smaller than others. I think luvs are pretty small. Huggies tend to run a bit bigger than pampers as well.

    • Lisa

Check Pinterest! Not sure if I am allowed to post outside blog links here, so I won’t – but search “diaper stock up” on Pinterest, there is a blog pinned that is pretty informative about what price is best to buy for each size, and how much of each size is suggested. It was INCREDIBLY helpful to me when I first found out I was pregnant and the grocery store in my area had an amazing month-long sale on diapers. Before I even told people I was pregnant, I had enough diapers that lasted my son’s whole first year! The only diapers I had to buy were newborn – I didn’t buy any at all, and had one pack from my baby shower. The size 1’s were way too big for him, so I had to go out and buy newborns for a few weeks.

    • Kalkayp

My kiddos has been in size 4 forever like 6 months or more. My daughter was in size 2 for that long or longer. It really is hard to tell, but you can always exchange for another size if the box isn’t opened.

    • Crafty Bargainista

I’m actually a data analyst by trade and figured out this answer using lots of math, excel, and growth charts. LOL! My daughter is about to be in size 3’s and so far my stockpile has been fairly accurate.

My comment ended up being so long, that I decided to (finally) do this topic as the first post on my blog. You can read about it here:

      Enjoy!

    • Amanda

Oh wow you are so organized!!
I would say you need less size 1 and more size 3, from my experience. They grow out of size 1 so quickly!
      Good luck!

      • bdt159

Thanks for the tip. I have been stocking up through all the deals Collin posts over the years. I’m not normally this organized.

    • Susan

Yes, size 3 is the size I used most with both my kids.

    • Stephanie

I would wait. You have a good number of diapers in each size. What if your baby has sensitive skin or is irritated by these diapers? There will be more deals.

    • Amber

My 13 month old is 21lbs… He was in newborn for 1 month….size 1 for 3 months, size 2 for 3 months, size 3 for 2 months and now he’s currently in size 4 and they fit perfect. Every baby is different. My oldest was in size 6 at age one. I would say a lot of kids end up using sizes 4-5 the longest. I would start getting more 4s.

    • AE

      Agreed….mostly 3s!

    • bdt159

Thanks for all the help, ladies. I’ve signed up for another box of 3’s and 4’s.

    • Heather C.

I agree with Amanda- my daughters were in size 3 from about 9 months til they were potty trained… So for a good year and a half. I *think* we go through around 25 to 28 size 3’s a week, my daughter is 20 months old and is not a really big “wetter”. HTH, and congrats on your new bundle! 3 of my 4 daughters were born in April 🙂

    • Jamey

Babies use between 4,000 and 6,000 diapers before potty trained. Size 2 and 3 the most for sure. We are on the 4 4th child and we usually keep 100-200 size 1 in the beginning. Never know how fast the next size will come. Congrats on the future baby to be!

    • Alese

I don’t know about the other sizes, but I’d get a few more size 1. I have a 5week old. He was 9lbs 12oz at birth & is now a little over 11lbs. In the 5 weeks hes been around we have used over 450 diapers. I just bought & opened another box of 216 a few days ago. He’s big for his age so I would guess most babies would use even more size 1 diapers than we will. Also, something that is nice is you can take unopened packages of a size your baby grew out of to Walmart if you find you have extras, and exchange them for a different size

    • autumnmeleah

Mine is 8months and has been in size 3 for a few months now and I expect a lot longer like at least another year. My son was in size 3 the longest. You can always trade in your diaper boxes if you bought them at the store for another size or sell them locally for money. I have about 600 diapers in size 3 and at least 200 in size 4. I should be set for a year.Babies slow down in growth so think of that too when you stock up in stuff like diapers or clothes! As always it’s better to have stock so no trips out just for diapers or wipes.

  7. Jessica

I am deciding if I need to go up a size in diapers for my little one. How many lbs is your little one in a size 4 or 5?

    • Jamey

Our daughter is 19 months, wears size 3 clothes (36″ tall) 28lbs and size 4 diaper. almost ready to go 5. Really friends on the shape of the child. I’d your about to go up in size just get a pack of 5 on sale (seems like you need it soon anyway) check fitment. Or get a sample pack of size 5 to make sure they don’t leak.

    • Amanda

My daughter is 33lb and size 5 Huggies (little movers) fit her perfectly.

      • Jamey

We use huggies little movers also, Costco has $6 off per box and free shipping on these now if this Amazon deal expires before someone can get this good deal. 😁

    • Michelle

My lil’ guy is almost 22 lbs (11 mos old). Hes been in a size 4 for a few months and seems like he will stay in a 4 for awhile longer too! We use pampers (swaddlers and cruisers) if that makes a difference in fit.

  8. Jackie

Thank you! I also subscribed and used a $4 coupon for the huggies natural care wipes. Got the big box (624 count) of refills for less than $10!

    • Sarah

Where did you find the $4 coupon for wipes?

  9. Heather C.

Thanks Collin and crew! Here’s hoping this is the last box of diapers I have to buy for my last little baby! My daughter is 20 months old, and is showing interest in potty training- Collin your post yesterday was so ironic!

    • Amanda

Same here! Although the box I bought before this one was also the last!!!

      • Heather C.

        Lol! Love it!

  10. Elizabeth

Thanks!! Bought size 4 which is the next size up for my baby.

  11. Heather

I have found going up a size is better than trying to make a smaller diaper fit. I am diapering my second child and she is growing at the same rate as my first – 99th percentile for head, length and weight! So at 9 months we are already using size 5! With my first I didn’t stock up enough on the larger sizes and would find myself scrambling to find good deals.

  12. Cynthia

@Breezy An idea for diapers if you are having a baby shower is put a note in the invitation and ask each guest to bring a pack a diapers to be entered into a drawing for a gift card…. We did this at the last shower I attended every person brought a pack, we bought a $25 gift card to give away. Just an idea. Best of luck

  13. Karis

FYI, you can sort subscribe and save deals by lowest price to highest! I got a box of size 1 and a box of size three with the coupon, the natural care wipes with the coupon, and then I added Vaseline lip therapy for $1.70 and Softsoap hand soap for $1.89 to save the 15% instead of the 5%! After the coupons, Amazon family discount on the diapers, and 15% subscribe and save discount, I’m getting the whole order for roughly $46! Woohoo!

    • Julie

Mine said you get 15 percent but not on diapers

      • Karis

You are so totally right – that was a miscalculation on my part!! Thanks for reminding me 🙂

        • Julie

But thanks for the heads up on sorting from lowest to highest on subscribe deals! That’s neat!

    • NicoleF

Where/how can you sort the subscribe and save deals lowest to highest?

  14. Grace

I never understand how to do these deals. My subscribe and save delivery day is the 10th of each month. Do you subscribe to the deal and then change the delivery date? I think I tried this before and by the time it shipped the price was totally different. Please help!

  15. melissa

Yes!!!! Loving these diaper deals, go amazon for letting us clip the coupon twice in a month!

  16. Nicole

Thanks a bunch! Got the little movers size 5 for my Lil man!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are so welcome! 😀

  17. Lisa

Does anyone know if the 35% would apply to 2 boxes??? I clipped the coupon, and subscribed to 1 box, but wondering if it is possible to now change it to 2 boxes, and the 35% would still apply to both?

    • Sarah

I did the same thing. It let me add one today of the same size and type….just like i added last week. Hope it works out and i don’t get charged full price when my order ships Feb 10.

  18. Agovor

Thank you for helping my family save money on the things we need.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You are so very welcome! Glad to be of help! 🙂

  19. Brittney

Can anyone tell me why it’s telling me why I don’t qualify to use the coupon? Do I need to be an Amazon Prime member? It’s letting me do the subscribe and save, but not use the coupon. Help!!

    • Happymama

Same here. I don’t know why I can’t clip it, but I don’t have prime either. Maybe that has something to to with it? 🙁

  20. Allyson

When I select to add this to my subscriber and save items, for size 5 diapers, the price is coming up as $36.79. Will the 35% coupon come off when they bill me? Just want to be sure because $36.79 is not a great price but if the 35% comes off it would be an excellent price. Anyone know if this is how it works, that you can’t see the final price with the coupon until the item ships?

    • Megan

Your total before you confirm the subscription should look like the total she has in the photo (or similar depending on how many subscriptions you have.) If it’s not, you may have chosen something that doesn’t qualify for the 35% discount. I clicked directly from her link in the post that says “35% off…” Try that and see if it works!

  21. Megan

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your site – these deals are amazing, and I definitely do not have the time to search them out myself! Thank you, Collin, from the bottom of my heat!

  22. Lacy

Is there a reason I can’t use the 35% off on more than size diaper?

  23. JEBG

Can you cancel the subscription after delivery and still get the discount?
