This is a good deal, but it’s so worth it to invest in something better like an Ergo. My back always hurt after using the infantino.

Do the ergos ever go on sale?

      • Sarah

I paid $70 for mine on Zulilly. But Target often has deals, too. I have heard of people getting good deals on second hand carriers, too. They are definitely pricier, but I have found it to be a good investment. I’m actually considering getting another one, as I’m due in June with baby #2 and we still like to use the Ergo for our 20 month old.

There are clearance Ergos at Target! Collin did a post on them a few days ago.

I tried the infantino carrier for a few hours around the house but it made my back hurt. I then turned to the Ergo but was slightly hesitant on the price and ended up getting a barely used organic with infant insert for around $50 on eBay. Don’t usually buy stuff off of there but it worked out great.

The narrow seat position (as advertised in the description) is what makes this carrier so uncomfortable for little ones. Their legs/knees should be spread like a frog for comfort an proper alignment. The Infantino Mei Tai is very comfortable and only $25ish. The Ergo is awesome but pricey. Check your local Target now for possible clearance on Ergos!

Or check Craigslist for a gently used Ergo

I also have the infantino wrap and tie- very comfy for mom and baby- paid $20 last year over the holidays. Would ofcourse want the ergo πŸ™‚

  3. Sarah

Yeah, I didn’t even mention that factor, that it’s not comfy for baby, either! I got a good deal on my Ergo from seeing posts right here at Hip2Save. It was on Zulilly:-).

Scored the Ergobaby on clearance at Target, after seeing the post here on Hip2Save!!! Thank you Collin, I was so excited! Only 41.98 for the performance Ergobaby, which was almost a $100 discount. So happy!

      Yay!! That’s SO awesome! πŸ™‚

This is a good deal and a nice carrier for someone who doesn’t have a big budget to spend on a carrier. I saw a moby on clearance at Target yesterday for $15. FYI Kudos to all moms who want who wear their babies. 😊

    • Cassandane

The Flip is really not comfortable for parent or baby. It was my first carrier, then I moved on to the K’tan, Mei Tai and now Ergo. Try the Infantino Mei Tai Sash Wrap. Fully adjustable, front/hip/back carry easy to nurse in and easy to wash. $22 on Amazon, which you can price match at Target.

I’ll weigh in to say that we have been through lots of carriers and I love this one. It has a wide seat option, which is preferred for baby. In my opinion it won’t hold a baby up to 32 lbs (as advertised) but probably to closer like 20-25 but for the money, it is great deal. I have an ergo too and honestly, both my baby and I are fine with either of them. If you don’t want to shell out of the money for a ergo…I think this is a great substitute.

I have this carrier. I purchased it on sale through a past Hip2Save deal. I like it. My son likes to be held up straight and enjoys facing people. He is very alert and loves to pay attention to what is going on around him. I found this carrier to work perfectly for that. We can bounce around the house, walk around the grocery store (be prepared for ooohhhs and ahhhhs along with tons of smiles….don’t worry it’s not for us, it’s all for the baby) and anytime you want the freedom to walk without holding the baby. I never wear the carrier for a long time so I can’t really say it hurts my back. My son is pretty heavy and has plenty of baby fat. He fits into the carrier fine. I agree with Christy. If you don’t have a ton of money for a carrier, this one is great.
