Collin I had a bad experience at Target on last weeks deals. I was super excited because i had my cart with the Think Thin bars for the $5 gc and the scrubbing bubbles deal and the U Kotex deals too. None of my coupons would scan since i was getting gcs the cashier told me. I was soo embarrassed because my son was with me and there was a big line behind me too.
Coupons and gift cards don’t interfere with each. My guess is your coupons wouldn’t scan because your printer heads needs to be cleaned. Or switch to a laser printer…my coupons always scan when I print from mine. Sorry for the bad experience!
My coupons where actually from the Sunday paper.
Call corporate, they are good about straightening things out. Your cashier was wrong.

Bummer. Super sorry to hear that Lizzy. That does sound frustrating. ๐
Winco has the laughing cow cheese for 1.99 right now.
Great deal!
And thats what I also thought that my coupons would not interfere with the gc. I has to leave my items behind because I was disappointed.
I sure hope Targets policies aren’t changing! I’ve been noticing this particular issue pop up in the comments quite a bit in the last few weeks. I haven’t had a chance to do my regular Target shopping since Christmas I’m really hoping I don’t run into issues tomorrow.
I was told that I couldn’t use coupons on a gift card deal months ago by a cashier at one of my local Targets. I told her I was familiar with Target’s coupon policy but she said it was a new store specific policy. I politely asked both her and a manager for a copy of these new rules, so I’d know what I was and wasn’t allowed to do in the future. They couldn’t show me anything in writing, at which point the manager decided to allow my coupons. I’ve been avoiding this Target for those GC deals since, and driving the extra 5 minutes to the next Target where I never have issues. But just last week I did successfully use coupons with a GC deal at the original Target. If each store can set their own rules, why can’t they make that policy available upon request for the customer??
For whoever has a Giant Food store in their area (East coast mainly), they have a sale now $2/5 (regular $3.50). Giant doubles all the coupons that are up to $.99, so $.75 is $1.50. You end up paying $1 each on Skinny Cow cheese. I love all grocery coupons that are $.75 because at Giant they are $1.50 each ๐
Ditto at Shaws!
