Doesn’t work for movies. Tried it just in case.

I think that you can rent two games per credit card on file. Each rental counts as one ten points earned toward the 100 points for a free movie credit…even if you don’t play games…get the point!

    • Mel

I like that idea, but don’t you actually have to pick up your rental for the points to be credited?

      • Aubrey

If you don’t pick it up you’ll be charged for it.

    • Amy

I’m sorry, but that seems like such a selfish approach, and reminds me of the reason couponing in general has become more difficult.

Please don’t reserve games purely to gain the credit. Someone else might actually WANT that rental!

I totally agree, Amy. For those that are going to do it anyway, I don’t think it will work for you. When I rented the Snoopy game (which we will pick up and play) my total was of course $0 and the message said: *If you rented with a credit, points won’t be issued. Points can take up to 24 hours to appear in your account. Tell Me More”

Free codes aren’t credits. I do this by reserving the game while I am in front of the kiosk. Then picking it up, returning at the same visit. I’ve never had an issue, and I don’t actually keep the game from any customer. Hope that this helps clarify. I think renting five per card or two per card when it states only one code per customer is wrong. I only rent one movie/game per card. But I would not judge fellow Hio2Savers for doing so…Very rude imo without knowing the facts. 😃

Thanks for this. It’s a fun way for the kids to try new xbox one games.

      Great idea Kim! YW!

Yep, no movies this time. Sad. We rented a game last time and it took all night to download but then didn’t work for my kids to play. Very disappointing when you only get one day to try the game! Probably won’t ever do it again, even for free!

    • Kim

Laura, our kids got an xbox one for Christmas and the games were taking too long (in my opinion) to download so my husband hooked it directly to the router or modem (I get them confused). Anyway, it’s so much faster now than it was when we were using it wireless. I hope this makes sense and helps.

It does take a long time for games to download on XBox One. The good news is that once you have done it, you don’t have to re-download the next time you rent the game. My daughter loves Just Dance so I rent it for free whenever these deals come up!
