Does this work if you weren’t the main person on the account?? Our account expired Dec. And I was the main person on the account so I was thinking of having my husband as the main this time around

    • Heather

It worked that way for us with Sam’s Club but not sure about Costco. We’ve not had a membership for almost two years and our old information was still in their system and the cs rep had to undo something during the application process.

    • Mel

I haven’t try personally with a Costco membership as mine expired before October so I was able to purchase it under my name. But I bought a Sam’s membership under my husband’s name without problem when mine expired.

    • Sarah

Same here. Would like to know if it will work?

      • Alma

I would like to know as well please.

Is there a way to get it for $45?—thought I saw on the other post that’s how much some were getting it for. Is that a new living social member coupon ($10 off?)?

    • Mel

You are supposed to received a $10 credit when using someone’s link and creating a NEW living social account.
I bought the deal under my existing account so can’t voucher for it personally.

    • Michelle

I believe all the referral bonuses and credits are done – not working. I tried using a referral link for a new account for my Mom and none of the discounts showed up. I have also read on other sites that is the case. So the deal is still available for $55 with no additional perks.

  3. Sandra

How much is a regular Costco membership? Is $55 inexpensive?

    • Stephanie

Thats the normal price BUT you dont get anything else they are offering with this current deal

    • Michelle

The membership is $55 normally, but if you walked in today and signed up, you wouldn’t get the additional bonus $20 gift card and free items.

      • Sandra

        Thank you Stephanie and michelle!

  4. Liz

Living social stopped the Me+3 promotion for the Costco deal and now im told that the refer a friend and get $10 off has also been scrapped…very sneaky

    • Mel

Liz, I am not sure this information is correct. I looked on their website and didn’t see such promotions were not offered anymore.

      • Liz

@Mel this $10 off offer was valid on the day this Costco deal was announced..i know because i got $10 off and few friends who went through my link did too…looks like today they stopped that..and ppl were going crazy posting their links thinking they will get the membership for free if 3 ppl joined …and i doubt anyone got it for free. It was shady not to mention that only this costco deal was exempt from the Me + 3 sale.

        • Mel

That’s a bummer! Thx Liz for the details.

    • Brie

I was wondering why I didn’t get mine for me when 5 people signed up with my link!

      • Mel

Brie, I would contact Living Social
Customer service if you have proof of the 5 referral. You have nothing to loose…

        • lori

How we get proof?I didn’t get any email but they sign in with my referral and they purchased but still I didn’t get any πŸ™

  5. aprilhagist

6% through ebates and 17% for new members through top cash back

    • Tabitha

I got points with Swagbucks as well!

    • mtmkjr

April, do you have a referral for top cash back?

  6. Heather

I don’t know if anyone else’s Costco is doing this but ours in Naperville,IL gave us an additional $20 gift card for upping to the executive membership. If you don’t get back the $55 during the year they give you that back. (Think you get 2% of your purchases back)

    • Brie

      We did that too!

    • Jessica

Ours offered us the same deal also so we paid $55 more for the upgrade

    • Kelsey

Costco in St. Charles, IL did that for us as well.

  7. Alma

If I’m a member and my membership is about to expire can my husband sign up as a new member? He is secondary in my acct right now.

    • Mel

Hi Alma, you should be able to sign him as primary. I did the same on our Sam’s membership when it expired.

  8. deepa

Can someone use my link to get the deal… Thank you so much πŸ™‚

  9. Rose

Please use my link to buy this costco membership, i just need 2 referral, i will give $5 Dairy Queen GC(no expiration) here is my link- https://tinyurl.com/j7sbbzn Thanks

  10. Aysha

Our previous membership expired on September. We were able to be considered a new member since it expired prior to October.
In addition # we too signed up for the executive membership for an additional $55. They gave us an extra $20 gift card as well…so $40 total. Plus we get 2% back on all purchases. If at the end of the year, our 2% cash back doesn’t meet or exceed $55 then we get back the difference. Say we spent enough only to get $35 cash back at the end of the year, they will refund us the $20 extra ($35+20= cost of executive membership) so really we aren’t losing out by going ahead with the executive membership. In fact we already made $20 on it through the gc.

      Sweet!

When I click this, it says that it is Washington DC even though I have my city as Nashville. Is this a national deal? If I purchase it, will I be able to redeem it in Nashville?

    • Mel

      It’s a national deal.
This was in their fine prints “Offer valid at U.S. Costco locations only.”

    • Tami

You can go directly to costco.com and you’ll see the national deal. (it’s the same as listed here)

  12. Emily

I used a friends living social link to set up a new account a few days ago (when this Costco deal was first available.) But it did not take off the $10 for me. I still got the voucher anyway for $55. Then I shared on FB. I have had at least one friend that I know for sure purchased the deal through my link, but never got any notification of it. Is that normal? Do they usually tell you when people have signed up? Reading these comments seems like living social is being sketchy about it… A shame because I was excited about signing up with them. If you are planning to sign up and want to use a link to try and help someone out, here is mine and it would mean a lot. I will just need two people to sign up if they are going to honor their +3 promotion!

  13. Allison A

Who still needs another person to sign up? Hard to follow the thread without updates.

    • Mel

Me! My link is up at the top but I am not sure they are still doing the promotion. πŸ˜”

  14. ashley

I’m not getting anything that says to sign up when I click on someone’s link. Is there supposed to be a pop up?

    • Mel

Once you click on the link it will take you to the Costco offer and when you want to purchase, you will have the option to sign in or to create a new account.
      Hope this help.

  15. Ann

Not sure if the +3 worked for people last week but I can attest to the refer a friend working for me last week. I used someone’s link and saved $10 and then posted my referral link and 20 people used it. I got an email notifying me for each referral. They credited my living social account with $200 to spend as I wish. I have already orderd 2 comforter sets, and still have money left. I received one in the mail today. Very happy!

  16. Mary Cay

If I activate my voucher today does my one year start today or the day get my card?

    • deepa

the day you get the card

  17. Mindy

I’m trying to understand the fine print. So do you pick up the Costco cash card at Costco after you get your membership?

    • deepa

yes, they will give you the cashcard along with the membership card at costco and the coupons arrive via mail

      • Mindy

        Thank you Deepa 😊

  18. Pat

I thought this expired yesterday, Feb. 10?

    • Pat

      Never mind… Saw
      the update

  19. Michele

When will this deal be available again?
