Our prime account is under my husband’s name, so maybe this is the problem, but every month when I click through to these books I can either buy the book for $1.99 by signing up for Kindle First, or pre-order it (not for free). Am I doing something wrong? I don’t see how to get the book for free.
I’m seeing the same. I have prime, but it’s saying $1.99…
Mine says buy it now for free. You have to be logged into the primary account so if you have a household account attached to his you would need to log directly into your husbands.
As long as you are signed in to the account, it should come up on the right hand side as $0.00. I’m not sure why it wouldn’t if you’ve logged in to your account(or husbands account in your case). Hope this helps…

I am really excited they included the Marcia Clark book, wanted to read that one but wasn’t sure about spending the money on it.
So I just downloaded my first free book on kindle for iPhone. Can I also get it on my iPad if I log in or is it only on my iPhone?
I think if you go to the manage my kindle section on your amazon account you can select the book, then tell it to deliver it to your ipad. You may have to sync to the farthest page read, but I’m not 100% certain. Sorry.
Yes, your entire library will be available you’ll just have to sync it to the device you wish to use. On mine it shows every book on the opening page of the app so it’s very easy. I use mine on my kindle and phone 🙂
