   Thank you!! I desperately needed a larger size, comfy pair for my aching feet (7 months pregnant here…) Asics runners are my go to shoe, and I love the pink/lime/silver combo. Tempted to buy several pair! Free returns too.

   I have the contend 3 in the womens– here’s somethings to know. The heel of the shoes are stiff. If you’re not used to this, it may feel uncomfortable or odd at first. This is for your protection so be sure to get the right size shoe so you don’t rub or go up and down in the shoe and cause blistering. It makes sure your ankles are stabilized.

   They stay pretty true to size. You can measure your CM size of your feet for added closeness/accuracy. I need a 24.5 cm shoe. A 24 just doesnt work for me.

   The extra wide in these shoes are not wide at all, in my experience. I bought the EXTRA wide and it’s still snug on me. I read the reviews and opted for extra wides after other reviewers had mentioned the skinny fit and it’s just a fit… and not a very comfortable one. I felt like my feet were gonna explode the shoe at the point where my toes begin past the tarsal area. My foot widens to 3.5 inches at the toe base (perhaps a millimeter or two over) and this shoe is snug on me in that area with plenty of room in the arch area. Oh the arch support is pretty good. Overall, a 6 out of 10 for running for me. If it wasn’t so dang snug, I could give it an 8 or 9.

   The shoe strings are short. This is great for running — however, since I had to loosen them up a lot, I can barely tie them. I cannot lace up the ankle eyelets. Those are the eyelets in the back that help support your ankle and keep your shoe from sliding up and down on your foot. It may have a different name, but as the lace is so short for me, I couldn’t use it. I plan to buy new laces.

   To it’s benefit and plus, these shoes are super comfortable from the get go. They go on and feel like a 4 week old, everyday wear kind of shoe. I didn’t need to break them in and they were great. The fabric did stretch out some and my toes wiggles free but past experience has told me this is just going to lead to tear and holes in the shoe box.

   I managed to snag these up a few weeks bag on a sale on my particular size for $32.99 free ship so worth it for me since I had gift cards.

   Now all this being said, I got Contend 3’s and these are Excite 3’s I’m seeing on discount. Read the reviews from the 2-4 star reviewers are those tend to be more accurate than the extreme 1 & 5 star reviewers.
