How Do YOU Find a Coupon Buddy?

Can you do a post for those of us looking for a couponing buddy? I know I’m not the only one! I wish I knew someone that understands couponing.
Here are a few ways that you can find a coupon buddy…
*Find a Facebook Group
Just type the word “coupon” in the search box on Facebook and see what groups pop up in your area.
*Partner with a Friend/Neighbor/Church Members
Ask people you know if they would like to shop together and/or even discuss all the great deals for which you can use coupons!
*Start your Own Coupon Buddy Network
Create a simple flyer or email and send to family, friends or church members and ask if they are interested in meeting at a certain time of the month to share coupons.

Am I the only one who doesn’t know what a “coupon buddy” is?

I think a coupon buddy or group would share or trade coupons. For example, I give you my pet coupons in exchange for your diaper coupons.
Ooh that would be nice. I always get things like cat food coupons but I got no cat, I keep them anyways until they expire because I’m a couponer and have throwing valid coupons away. I would love to do some mail exchange with people. It’s there a specific site or anyone here interested? The only coupons I normally use myself are baby and household (specific detergent since my dd got sensitive skin) but besides that I could def print whatever else to trade with 😊

I usually have cat food, various dog food and diaper coupons. I’m like you I don’t like to throw out unexpired coupons. If I’m in the grocery stores and I see someone pickup I have coupons for I love to share! Either that or leave them around the items on the shelves! Never have found a coupon buddy so far but trying to!
I LOVE coupon fairies in the grocery store!!!! There are at least a few in my area because I always see coupons around!!! I love doing it too for things I don’t necessarily use! 🙂
It’s just someone that you share deals and coupons with. Maybe shop together, and most of all brag about what great shoppers you are to each other–because other people just don’t understand. 🙂
I will try the tips. I have a sometimes coupon buddy who doesn’t coupon as much as I do. I consider Hip2save my best coupon buddy.

Babycenter! They have coupon buddies and even coupon trains for 4-6wks!
What’s a coupon train?
Coupon trains go via mail. The engineer starts with an envelope of say 30 coupons and a list of all
Members of a train, usually around 10 people. They mail it to the next person on the list who has usually 3 days to pull any coupons they want, weed out expired ones, and refill to 30 and then mail to the next person on the list. Some are category specific. Some have a list of ISO items next to each members name. Goal is for it to get back to the engineer within the month and the cycle keeps going. It’s a great way to get what you want and trade off things you don’t use.

I use to coupon early in my marriage but left off after a few kids. It was actually my brother that got me back into it and even more with apps and more. He lives hours from me but we video chat and email/message each other constantly all day. It makes it so much easier. I hope everyone can find a coupon buddy like mine!
My girlfriends & I started in high school. We would trade & swap clothing, jewelry, shoes, hair accessories, etc. Then as we got older & had children, we started with formula, diapers, etc. It’s gone from the 8 of us to now about 30.

I started my own non-profit organization for youth and their families in Phoenix, AZ and one of the classes I teach is Budgeting and Couponing. Ever since, I have several coupon buddies and made some great friends too. I find that doing free classes helps 🙂 (if you’re ready for that step)

My HOA (about 400 homes) has a FB page, and I keep trying to get up the nerve to ask if anyone is a couponer. I love couponing, but its still kind of more of a ‘secret’ hobby for me. However, I was a just at Target loitering in the Pantene Expert isle and met another mom trying to do the same deal as me. If I didn’t feel so darn awkward trying to “pick up a lady” a target – that would have been a good oppurtunity to make a new friend. I’m in a new town and have no friends – Its worst than dating!!!! LOL!

Gretchen, I just wanted you to know you weren’t alone. I just moved of of state for the first time and I’m in my 30’s. I’m a very social person but I can’t seem to meet anyone lol. I’ve been here 6 months and haven’t meant anyone worth hanging with. I feel your pain.
We are all in this together, moved 3 yrs ago an can’t find a serious coupon buddy. The others are just to busy at least that’s what they say. Hope you find someone soon, give it a little more time.
