This ready-to-use outdoor and indoor insect killer is designed for interior and exterior use to kill ants, roaches, spiders and other pests and to help keep new ones from entering your home. It features a sprayer for application of the fast-drying and non-staining formula.
We really like this Ortho Home Defense, and this is a great price. We spray it the whole way around the house, on the foundation, basement and egress windows, and door thresholds every spring and it really keeps the bugs out. It seems to have a good residual value, and we notice a big difference from years we did not use this product. We spray it in the basement, near the baseboards and we only see dead bugs down there now!

This works wonders! I live in an apartment and pest controls sprays every 4 months but I would still see spiders. My Co-worker gave me the ortho spray back in September to try out and I did not have to spray again until earlier this month.

Best product like this I’ve ever used. I used to pay a company $75 every three months to spray. I decided to give this a try 3 years ago and haven’t needed a company to spray since. I apply it around the perimeter of the house and inside by the doors and windows every 3 (ish) months and haven’t seen anything alive and most don’t even make it past the outside at all. Excellent product!

I agree. Worth every penny and lasts a long time too. We had any trouble we couldn’t solve (well not with pintrest ideas!) until this. We apply each year. Awesome deal!!!

I agree & this is a great price. I bought what I thought was similar stuff at Aldi but I swear the bugs are laughing at me! It’s not working at all!

As with a lot of these products, they are safe when they dry. Yes there will be residue left but in the areas you should be spraying it, that poses no issue.
Thank you Rebecca, that’s a good point, I guess my cat and dog won’t get into the undersink cabinet, but it looks like the main ingredient is very bad for bees so I myself won’t use it outside. Here’s a copy and paste of what I read that led me to do a little more research

When you are spraying any pesticide, one of the things you want to remember is that after the product dries, a crystalline residue is left behind. This is what gives the Ortho Home Defense Max its longer term killing effect against insects.
Although this feature is great for killing insects, it also means that your domestic animals can also pick this residue up on the bottom of their feet if they are in the area where you sprayed.
The chemical ingredient can stay active for up to a year, depending on where you spray it. Areas that are exposed to the sun and weather will biodegrade faster than those areas that are protected.
A safer route would be not to spray where your animals are likely to walk and get the residue on their feet during the time while this chemical is active.
This product is also toxic to bees. Avoid spraying any foliage or areas where bees are currently active.
Be sure to read the label and follow the manufacturers recommended application procedures.

Another rave review here! We live in FL…and you can guess what our least favorite visitors are lol. It’s impossible to seal your house so they can’t come in, so that’s where this comes into play. We spray around the foundation, at doorways, in our garage, and around our fireplace, which is our problem area(not flush, gaps everywhere). We rarely see a bug. We have neighbors & friends who pay people to spray constantly…and still have problems! This is such a cheap & convenient product!
I have this as well and it’s pretty much all we use.
Can anyone tell me how effective this is on keeping moths out?
